This is a fantastic update! I only wish that we could zoom into the render display. It's such a powerful tool that could be further expanded to become a legit audio analyzer!
Everything is great on 7.24 .. great job. SUPER for tehenvelop points.OMG how much I wanted this! Finally I can see and grab them in a better way. Thanks Devs.
17:07 this "tic-tac-toe" view is what I've been missing from old good Sonar days when programming drum patterns, would be really cool if Reaper had such MIDI view!
Honestly stuff like 01:37 - transport(play/record/stop…) is going to be so helpful for new users. LOVE that Reaper is continuing to work to improve the onboarding process of learning Reaper.
Great vid. There is a long-standing feature request about an option for folders to behave as VCAs like they do on other DAWs. Hope you see this comment and maybe suggest this to the devs if you like it.
Hi there, your channels has help me alot.. I have one question which might be trivial but if you have time please do reply.. The thing is, we had a live recording and we used an external metronome to record.. After the recording was done.. I tried aligning the metronome which was set at 110 BPM, the metronome did not match the grid line. I have changed the project setting to time based even before recording.. The metronome would occasionally align to the grid and then be out of timing again.. What is the reason and what is the solution to this? Thank you.
yes, start with the edit cursor at Zero Double-click the Envelope control panel to select all points Copy select destination envelope paste Or possibly better is to use Razor edit as it can do multiple envelopes at once.
This is very nice! Love it! BTW - does anybody knows how to increase size or 3rd party plug-in window without using Windows magnifyer tool? I`m using Ozone Alloy and Ozone 5 plugins and I wish there was some way to increase size of plugin - just to see what values are bouncing on compressor etc.
Can we use the click patterns in the metronome differenly for certain parts of a song? Per example sometimes I compose and my drummer preferes the drums on certain parts faster or slower, but is only that one part or he wants triplets, etc. Would be easier to change the metronome sometimes instead of the signature I think, especially for triplets. Also would be great if they added a 0.5x and 0.25x cause sometimes i can feel a certain part slower in terms of the click but the sig didn't actually change.
I often have drums I need to learn that someone programmed. I can get a really nice view in my midi editor that is easy to follow. But it would be so nice to print that view to a PDF. I know we have the notation export but I'm not a notation guy and the view I can get with just the midi notes are easier to follow to me! Annyone got a tips (or have unfluence at reaper) to get them to make a "export midi as PDF" or anny other idea on how I can get my midi in a "stacked view" or something?
Been using reaper for a few years and I still don’t know what most of this will do for me lol I just record guitar bass drums and mix lol I’m just a creature of habit

leeeetsss gooooo 🚀🚀🚀
Oh I like that new metronome feature that I must have missed in a previous update and this resizing of the envelope handles oh man that's beautiful,

Somehow grid layout for drums has a unique and charming feel to it
Huge update! Thanks for the rundown, Jon!
Point scaling is a major headache remover. Gotta love Reapy.
Yeeeees! Finally 🎉
I’ve been waiting for this!

Легендарный Канал!
💪great update!
I'm so glad I subscribed to this channel. As always, an excellent video. Thank you for that.
Always grateful for these videos. They are essential!
Thanks again Jon. I love their new changes to the Render window.
Lot of great stuff in this update. I find the render window updates to be very helpful.
Thank you very much, Jon! Why are you using bezier curves for automation?
Slow start/end actually. It looks best for video automation so I just made it my default. I have hotkeys for changing point shape when necessary.
@@TheREAPERBlog ahh got it. I use Premiere Pro for video. Reaper for audio.
You're awesome, Jon! Thanks so much!

Especially for folders to have a 0db pan law by default.
Copying in a take is one of the things that you don't know you really need until they don't implement it. Such a good job, the devs and you 🎉
Around the 20:00 mark, how did you spread out the imported samples?
custom script but SWS Reposition Selected Items can do same thing
@@TheREAPERBlog had the exact same question... Thank you Jon !
It can change the world :))
Wish they would bring in lock per track with a click of a button on the track, locks everything including the tracks position.
Love this! ❤️
I am a total newbie working on their first project, hoping that someday this all will mean something to me:)
lots to learn. enjoy the process
It will soon :)
@@djabthrash Thank you, small moves indeed:)
I also noticed that by selecting a timeline section from the rendering window it's possible to zoom it in.
some pretty twisted tongues twisting about in this one eh? sheesh - well handled sir
thanks and be well! 😃

Would be nice to have a way to find out what was in a group. i.e it highlighted the items/tracks that were in a group. But i like the changes.
was waiting for this video!
thanks for waiting. I wanted to make it on Thursday but just didn't work out.
thx for the info
Nice additions! Is there a way to copy and paste whole envelopes to different tracks?
yes, start with the edit cursor at Zero
Double-click the Envelope control panel to select all points
Copy
select destination envelope
paste
Or possibly better is to use Razor edit as it can do multiple envelopes at once.
Guitar tab item would be nice.
We are waiting for folders / subfolders for sample - databases.
Now I have 105 databases for my 'go to' genre i work with.

@@carlosamado7606 yes, either from the tempo markers, or from Click Source items.
thanks jon
Thanks Bro🙏
Envelope point scaling..
Dang, I just finished an epic mix in Reaper, 7.22, gonna have to start the mix again...
Just kidding, thank you Jon!
haha
I use a custom click sound… how do I get that custom sound to print as the click source?
insert click source - double-click - load your sounds

Is there a way to make the playhead bigger? I use reaper for live performance and sometimes I can't find it...
Yes.
Search for "play cursor width" in the Reaper preferences.
@@djabthrash OMG Man! You are a life saver. Thank you!!!
@@israellsantos You're welcome.
In reaper 8, the metronome will replace all your drum VSTs
Maybe you can convince them to build a side-chain in ReaFir, what could be so difficult about it?!!!!
I reaper analizer temp map automatic what ?
what??
Super duper! (>_
envelope point size !!!!!
We are waiting for you to make project root key tools..
weee Jon make new video and me way to late to watch it
