Race on eight official circuits from the FIA World Rallycross championship, complete with licensed Supercars and support series.
Develop your team and cars around race strategies, and progress through a varied selection of Events and Championships in both a single player Career Campaign and a competitive online environment.

Ammar Hasan True on the visuals, but I mean also the overall mechanics of it. I believe the devs mentioned in the past that they got the dmg system wrong in DR1, so let's hope that is more sensible now.

Nah. He's not trolling. Look at the Steam review of DiRT 4 and they're pretty negative. Not because the game is bad. But because a metric fuck ton of people thought that DiRT 4 was a sequel to DiRT Rally. So they were disappointed.
@@Z45HR4 it's actually because the codie's fault itself that was promising or claiming the dirt 4 handling simulation will be more "realistic" than dirt rally, which is made people expecting it to be dirt rally 2 *including me

They're only adding the new rallies that they've included. The rallies from dirt rally aren't returning to 2.0. Although the rallies they've chosen...5 of them were the new ones I wanted. Argentina was the one I wanted most to return

There are what about 3x the number of headsets out there now than there was back when the first games VR patch was made, at some point the math will tip the scales to the point where it will be stupid not to have VR.

Hugo Stiglitz I've played quite a bit of RBR NGP and I think it's genuinely pathetic how zealous RBR fanboys are. It's pretty overrated and you have to mod the shit out of it for it to be competitive, and even then, it falls short in many areas. Dirt Rally is a great game, deal with it.

it better have VR support, I would have purchased and put up with the more arcadey physics in their newest title, but once they gave me a taste of VR with dirt rally there is NO way I will ever touch a racing sim without VR ever again.
i know what you mean, since i got vr i havent used a monitor to play dirt rally since.. just vr... even tough i built a custom wheel stand with room for the monitor directly behind the wheel.. and i now have a 49" curved 4k tv... still prefer vr though, lol.

yeah, i bought the lenovo explorer at twice that price from amazon and i still though that was cheapish... especially considering it was over $700NZD if you could find anywhere in NZ to buy it..

With no mention of VR compatibility it's a no go. As soon as there is VR available I will hand over my money.
it'd be nice if they worked out VR options on DirtR 1 - I haven't played DR in months because it won't let me launch in desktop mode and I cannot be arsed unplugging my oculus just to have a quick stage or two. Then I'm too irritated by it to feel like strapping in the headset for a longer session so I just don't play it anymore.
For me I would not ever play Dirt Rally out of VR so mute problem in my case.
Subi_fan The VR community is not cancerous, at the moment I see support for VR in driving sims/games much as the early stages of support for force feedback wheels once was, now the idea of there being no FFB support in a driving game is unthinkable. As a owner of both of these technologies I will only buy games that support both as driving games outside of VR, do not hold my excitement, so I and others who feel the same have to say what it is that we want. Until VR's position in simulation titles is an expected norm, as I think it one day will be.

I am a little bit disappointed with the Environments list since a lot of the Classics (like Gb, Finland and Monte) are not there, but I understand they wanted to bring new places to the game...as far as the driving and sounds are great, it's all good!!

There's post launch DLC content coming in this game. I think you can expect to see some of those locations return then. People have noted that there's no snow in the base locations, so I think we can expect that in the DLC too.
At least six locations post launch, that should add a lot of classics back in.

Sadly I see the Group B car still can do handbrake turns (AWD Gr.B cars didn't have handbrake that only blocked the rear wheels as later cars have).
I hope this one gives the option of having fully obligatory clutch for cars that in real life have it(not like WRC cars with their automatic clutch) while using sequential (when you don't have an H gear or usit as a handbrake like I do because not having a dedicated handbrake stick, that I could make, but I'm too lazy ok!?).
I like it how this new installment has the 2.0 to it's name.

@@DerMikeVR on pc there are quite a lot of full driving Sims that have support for VR, Project cars, Project Cars 2, Assetto Corsa, iRacing and the early access version of Assetto Corsa Competizione will get VR in the next couple of weeks. In fact apart from Xbox/Microsoft games and Codemaster games, I can not think of a single current pc based driving SIM that doesn't have VR surported now?

The one thing that sucks about Dirt Rally is the multiplayer. Please, I am begging, give DR2 an awesome MP mode like Dirt 3 where you can real time Rally against other humans. That would make a great long term playability :)
