I’m about to buy a full Bitcoin. I’m wondering about transferring large sums from my bank to Shakepay. With the limits on how much you can transfer per day/week...
Would I be charged fees each time I transfer money over? Or do the fees only come when you buy the btc.

It can take a few hours on your first transfer depending on your bank. If it shows up on the shakespay as pending, I suggest not cancelling as banks usually have a cancellation fee.

I do wish you had told the audience which personal info they require. The less info their interpretation of regs requires, the less info to get hacked. For many people It's a major factor when choosing a BTC On/offramp.

No need to have any hardware to start. You can just get a free app on your phone to use as a wallet. I like Blue Wallet, which I did a video on as well.

Hey Teddy! It can vary depending on each person, but in my experience it was the same day. Some verifications happen quite quickly, while others require manual processing - which tends to by a symptom of the traditional banking system requiring many hoops to jump through.

I'm a little worried my bank won't like me making e-transfers to Shakepay, and will block the transaction somehow (like when some banks started freezing your Canadian credit card for buying BTC at Coinbase two years ago), but other than that little bit of worry, this this app looks pretty solid. Hopefully in the future we won't need permissions from any banks or credit card companies to move our money.
I've definitely seen way less instances of that nowadays. If an etransfer gets held up, it's typically just the bank making sure you meant to send it, and it only takes a quick call to let them know it's fine. The reason this might happen is if you send a large transfer out of the blue and it's not typical activity for you.

Please do you research before using any website. Shakepay has the worst reviews lately on google store, I'm going to stay clear from using this.
I saw a lot of reports about the site crashing (especially during dips), and bad customer service. I'm using netcoins now and I'll gladly pay a little extra for the customer service I've received so far.
So what’s special about Shakepay compared to other exchanges?
Good Q. Everyone will have personal preferences, but for me:
1. Etransfers land in typically less than a minute.
2. No withdrawal fee (Shakepay covers miner fees)
3. Mobile app is convenient
4. If friends/family sign up with your link, you both get $30 after they buy 100 bucks worth
5. It's not a casino with a million coins (they have Eth unfortunately, but I'm hoping it will become Bitcoin-only eventually)
6. I shake my phone every day and get a little bit of free Bitcoin
7. They have a Visa card linked to your dollar balance that earns you Bitcoin back on every-day purchases
Shakepay is fast and has no withdrawal fee same thing as Netcoins exchange which has zero fees on funding and withdrawal. Both of them are easy and secure to use.
This was very interesting to watch! I think it's quite possible that to some degree the BTC price was "brought" down recently to give institutional buyers a chance to buy at lower prices, these institutions aren't buying Bitcoin because they think the dollar price will stay at these levels. Yes, it's likely that around the end of this year there might be some kind of huge growth in the crypto market most especially Bitcoin, but whether prices in dollars will then drop 85% is not clear. By the end of the year, a lot of fiat printing will have occurred and prices of goods may be beginning to rise faster. Thoughts?
Well, that's a fact! Nevertheless, I foresee an exodus in the market and would take profits and swap ETH to ADA and BNB to hedge against ETH not being able to fully deliver scalability until 2022
I used shakepay about 2 weeks ago for the first time. It was simple etransfer, purchase and send to goal location. Very easy and clear to do.
Do you recommend using something like Wirex to buy things or convert to $$ with shakepay and send to bank?
With wirex the one issue is forex fees. The cards are often in another currency (unless they've created a CAD one) so you get hit with something like a 2-3% fee every time.
If your goal with Bitcoin is to hold and speculate on higher value then I would simply do that and only cash out when you are ready. That said, if you find instances where paying with Bitcoin is easier for some reason (merchants that may not accept other forms of payment, etc) then just pay with BTC directly.
If you buy BTC for the explicit purpose of immediately spending it, you'll find you're getting hit with fees on both ends of every transaction and unnecessarily paying 3rd parties for no reason.

The issue was Google location setting was"Default" .... Changed setting to "Canada" and everything went well, thereafter.

@@summervibes9931 bitcoin fees are actually not based on percentages, but on how much data is used up on the blockchain for your transaction.
Basically this means that moving a large amount will likely cost about the same as moving a small amount.
If you're moving from an exchange, best to accumulate a bunch before moving so as to avoid their excessive fees (if they have large withdrawal fees).
If you're moving from your own wallet to cold storage, make sure you use an efficient wallet that allows you to set your own fee. I recommend Blue Wallet!
Shakepay is fast, easy and low cost to use. It is my favorite and have been using it for 2 years.

Not any worse than putting on your shoes/boots on in the morning. Just think about the procedure for an instant LOL.. First, you have to locate them..2nd you need to GO to them...they won't come to you...3rd,figure out which foot the boot fits better,4th, you probably will need to pull up the lower part of the pants, 5th, you need to pull out the flap...in most cases anyway..., 6th ,insert the foot, 7th ,wiggle the foot for a comfort fit, 8th,lower the flap back toward the top of the foot, 9th,do up the laces...(A fairly long procedure description in itself that i will stay away from..lol) ...or zipper, 10, reposition the pant leg ......and then, be on your merry way to where ever you are headed to....All of that occurs within a minute or so, because you've done it thousands of times before. Well,,,guess what.....same thing applies here.....Practice,practice,practice..LOL Happy trading

shakepay is def very quick and reliable as far as I know. I wouldn't leave any funds on the exchange/app tho anything can happen but havent had any negative experience with them yet and the team responds very quickly and the process to add funds is extremely easy and fast.

Looks like Shakepay is not reliable provider of services. I was making transfers through a year with Shakepay - but last week when I transferred btc from this wallet to my stock exchange this transaction did not get through. My multiple requests to Shakepay support team remain unanswered - they just ignore it. They give no updates, no explanations, no ideas on what they are going to do.
Not sure what is going on there behind the scenes - but if you had plans to use their services - I strongly suggest to stay away as it looks something bad is going on there.
Does it show "sent on the Bitcoin blockchain" in your list of transactions? Everything is going to be detailed in the app, including destination address and the ability to see the exact transaction on the blockchain. There's even a little button that says "view on the blockchain"
If an that information is there then either
1. The exchange you sent it to messed up
2. You may have sent it to the wrong address
@@BTCSessions point 1 and 2 is fun, I am trading crypto for five years and I know how to use blockchain explorer. Again - those guys are broken for now. Meaning that they are financially insolvent to secure their responsibility on payments that are processed by them. That's the only reason why they do not have procedure to backup issues like that. If you can give me another one - I would gladly hear you out.

@@BTCSessions it was. transaction was unconfirmed on blockchain for a week and Shakepay did not tell me how they are going to deal with it or if they have policy to protect their responsibility on payments processed by them. In absence of such statement it is not possible to use their services safely. I mean, you can - but you have no clue what their responsibility is. I understand that not everything depends on them - you can have changes in hash rates and stuff that may effect transaction time, or they may use too low fee by accident and transaction may stay very long in a queue. The point is that I want to know the rules of the game - and so far they do not tell what those rules are. Simple question: what policy you have to ensure that in case the payment processed by Shakepay fails to get delivered not through the fault of your customer? Current answer of Shakepay is: "Our team is working on it hard". Not fun.
