You missed one difference at least, and I haven't even played yet--the custom outfits! That's what made the decision for me in the end, as the Eevee version gets so many more outfits (one for each Eeveelution) from the Pokefan club.
Yeah I noticed this after I beat the game. I had seen pictures of the Eeveelution outfits on Twitter and was so excited to get myself the Umbreon outfit. Was so dissapointed to learn Pikachu version didn't get those and only got *one* outfit set instead of the *eight* Eevee version gets :/
See the sad part is that I had multiple recording because I had a hard time saying "Version exclusive" and these turned out to be the best ones haha 😅😂
I'm surprised that Pikachu sell out more than Eevee. When I was little I was obsessed with pikachu. Now that I'm older I'm into Eevee. I bought the game Pokemon let's go Eevee. Haven't got a Nintendo switch yet but I will buy it in December. Can't wait. Eevee needs more love. Not that I hate Pikachu but its to overrated.
I just bought the Pokèball Plus and Game Bundle, I forgot which version I was getting tho which was Pikachu, so I'm gonna pick up the Eevee version soon

I think Eevee is the essence of Pokemon trainers. I feel like eevee is a metaphor about choosing your own pathway because of the many evolution forms it comes. It makes each trainer unique in how they want to play the game.

Arcade is the only thing I can really agree with. I really don't mind the Go mechanics, and done right and tweaked could spice up the core series. The rival being friendly doesnt bother me as much as the rival being easy to defeat. Hau was alright, it was just a let down that he chooses the Pokemon that is weak to your own. The Game Corner, as far as Ive played, was a bit of a let down because it appears you can't play any of the games. While disappointing, it makes since because this is a game trying to appeal to the current generation of youths.
Why is version exculsive a thing anyway... I swear it seems like its whole purpose is to annoy us. Can u imagine an 8 year old buying lets go eevee and dreaming about catching that scyther just to find out he cant catch it just because he bought the wrong version? The fact that you cant complete the pokedex by yourself is so absurd to me.
it was a new and amazing feature in the past when pokemon first came out. u connected gameboys w a cable and exchanged pokemon w a friend. the most exciting part was actually interacting and changing pokemon w another person and not rly all about completing the pokedex
Yes as Legendseokjin said, with the first Pokemon Gameboy versions, the link cable became popular so they used to the split of two versions to encourage people to connect their games with friends to get pokemon from other versions and to trade pokemon that can only evolve through trading. It made pokemon into something you dont wanna play alone but with your friends on the school yard.

Both Eevee and Pikachu are available to catch in the wild (Pikachu is there in the earliest section of the game) and can evolve. I had all eeveelutions within about seven minutes of using a lure at Eevee's spawn location. I have a Raichu too. In fact Pikachu spawned immediately for me. Kantonian starters are available in the wild too.
I feel like if I ever got a starter Eevee, I would keep it as an Eevee forever, but then go out of my way to make an Eeveelution Team. If that meant catching Wild Eevee's and evolving them, or just catching the wild evolved form.
Sonny You can easily get Arcanine in Let’s Go Eevee early in the game and if you play Go, rn there’s a field research to get Scyther so you can transfer some to Let’s Go ;-;) that’s what I plan to do since Eevee is life 😭
if you talk whit the guy in the citty where lt surge is you can get a persian there as well if you chose the little dog pokemon he actually gives you the opposite evolution whit some nice iv's :p

There also exclusive clothing items for you snd your starter depending on what version you got, eevee version has A LOT more clothing than the pikachu version. You get outfit(s) for your starter’s evolution(s), since eevee has MANY MORE evolutions, you get MUCH MORE clothing for you and eevee.
I didn’t know about the version exclusive Pokemon before I bought Let’s Go Eevee. However, I was EXTREMELY lucky that’s I chose it. This is because I had all of the version exclusive pre-evolution Pokemon from Let’s a Go Pikachu in Pokemon Go completely by coincidence! I was so happy about this since I’m almost done with my dex now!!

I knew from announcement that I wanted Let’s Go Eevee. But I wasn’t sure which Pokémon were version exclusives, so I was unable to create a team. Using the info, I now can come up with a team.
I already have let’s go eevee, so I just watched this to see what Pokémon I couldn’t get and when I saw growlithe and oddish on the list I was like “oooooh...that’s why I don’t see it in the wild.” Because I’ve been looking for them for so long, same with the other Pokémon on the list.
And if you have both games, get what Pokémon you can get on both games, and ONLY that game, then you might have a complete Pokédex by combining the two. Hope this helps!
I can't decide. I don't even have a Switch and I still can't decide. On one hand I love Pikachu, it's nostalgic love but I still absolutely love this mascot. I also absolutely love Syther no matter what so that's a plus. On the other hand I personally like Eevee a lot more because of the cute design and how I can also picture it being able to rip my face off if it really wanted to. Ekans is also a big plus, and I have multiple Sythers in my Pokemon go. But even though all of that I'm torn between these games.
In my personal opinion you should choose Eevee as you can still get Scyther and nostalgia shouldn’t block your actual opinion on the Pokémon themselves
Imo, i would choose Pikachu, since Eevee is even more dumb down than Pikachu, because of all the Elemental Moves (Its basically the Lets Go Babyversion compared to Pikachu).
I bought Let's Go Pikachu for myself when I got a Switch in summer 2021, then I got Eevee for Xmas. I think Let's Go Eevee is a bit better, but they are both similar games obviously. I really wish the games had the Sevii Islands like Firered and Leafgreen did. I understand these are basically remakes or w/e of Yellow, but I still would have liked to travel to islands in the post-game, seeing them in 3D.

I bought Pikachu 3 years ago and have never played it since. I bought because Pikachu used to be my favourite Pokémon and and I started to regret it after watching this. But my favourite Pokémon (Muk don’t judge) is a version exclusive. And I don’t really get Nintendo Online to trade that much but now Pokémon Home is a thing.
I was right to pick Let's Go Eevee. The Eevee movepool is so diverse making it easy to plan for what type of move coverage you need. But Eevee is not particularly tanky.
I chose Eevee because when I played Pokemon Yellow back in the 90s, when I saw Blue get Eevee I was like "NOOOO!" I disliked Pikachu soon after for his (at the time) horrible moveset. He was cute enough though.

Another difference is the clothing options. In let's go you get your starters evolved form clothes. That's one outfit for pikachu and eight for eevee.

Actually there is some on who gives you an arcanine if you catch 5 meowth or a Persian if you catch 5 growlithe so you don’t need to trade

2:48 Partner Pikachu and Partner Evee are different from the ones you find in the wild. They also have guaranteed perfect IV's.

I bought Let's Go Pikachu for myself when I got a Switch in summer 2021, then I got Eevee for Xmas. I think Let's Go Eevee is a bit better, but they are both similar games obviously. I really wish the games had the Sevii Islands like Firered and Leafgreen did. I understand these are basically remakes or w/e of Yellow, but I still would have liked to travel to islands in the post-game, seeing them in 3D.

pippa baker yeah but sadly if you get Let’s Go Eevee you can’t get a shiny Growlithe. Which I really want but I also really want a shiny vulpix to evolve into a shiny ninetales. I’m Torn. Btw I don’t have Shiny Growlithe nor Shiny Vulpix in Pokemon Go so I cant transfer them.

Another difference might be if your playing “Let’s Go Pikachu” you’ll get a Pikachu outfit but in “Let’s go Eevee” you’ll get an Eevee outfit
I think im going to choose let's go pikachu, i wanted let's go eevee but the version exclusives for let's go pikachu are so much better for me in my opinion.

So I know I’m late to the party and it’s a noob question… but does one of the other have all 151 Pokémon available to catch or are you saying that you have to trade or use GO to complete your Pokédex? I havnt played a Pokémon game since game boy but I can’t remember how it works. I mean by what your saying, I won’t be able to see all or finish my Pokédex if I just have let’s go pikachu. Guess I should ask wtf is version exclusive?

I bought Pikachu 3 years ago and have never played it since. I bought because Pikachu used to be my favourite Pokémon and and I started to regret it after watching this. But my favourite Pokémon (Muk don’t judge) is a version exclusive. And I don’t really get Nintendo Online to trade that much but now Pokémon Home is a thing.
It’s a shame that the pikachu outfits were only limited to raichy when pikachu has a fuck ton of forms they could base it off.

I was right to pick Let's Go Eevee. The Eevee movepool is so diverse making it easy to plan for what type of move coverage you need. But Eevee is not particularly tanky.

I chose Eevee because when I played Pokemon Yellow back in the 90s, when I saw Blue get Eevee I was like "NOOOO!" I disliked Pikachu soon after for his (at the time) horrible moveset. He was cute enough though.

Natasja van Driel. if it helps evee has more outfits to choose from, apparently has an outfit for each eveeluion. And you can't get rid of or evolve either of them. I'm having trouble deciding as well because I've been watching people play it and I need that Pokemon itch to be scratched until sword and shield

My mom got me Let’s Go Eevee for Christmas (I told her she could choose between the two). But I plan on getting Let’s Go Pikachu when I get the money. Because I want to trade between the two. And why not have both?
So I've heard that whoever your partner you pick they can't evolve they will just stay as pikachu or eevee but you can get the opposite partner my question is could you evolve that opposite one so if you got pikachu as your parter and found an eevee in the wild could you evolve that eevee?
In both games you can catch a wild pikachu and a wild eevee, you can evolve those.
That moment when you realize that your Let's go Pikachu/Eevee are going to be trapped for ever on that game.....

Eevee is just the best pet to have of the two. Its fluffy and more cuddly looking.
Alolan Muk is a Lets go Pikachu exclusive?! This is one of the disadvantages of not choosing the version with the mascot -_-

The Eevee Version is better because: Eevee has more learnable moves than Pikachu in my opinion and also because Eevee is cuter.
Things I would change in that game: basically everything, but keep it to where you can see the pokemon, and where pokemon can follow you.
It is unfair that Eevee has more special moves than Pikachu 😐
