Watched this whole podcast in one stretch and it motivated me especially for DSA coz I'll be going to 4th year and 2 mahine mein acche se DSA karna hai and relieved the stress for sure. Seeing Avi bhaiya(I'm from IIIT Kota) there really inspired me(bhaai aaj IIITs acknowledge ho gaye finally🥲). Then today one more thing happened, I've always had this thing ki I wasn't able to get into IIT and you know I thought something is lacking in me or I am low in IQ from IITians and stuff like that(I've moved on from it like 95%) but seeing Shiva bhaiya and Striver there, it has gone up to 99% for sure(baaki 1% I guess time ke saath ho jaayega). And then watching Shiva bhaiya was fun and he taught me so many things today(I'll incorporate his chillness more in my life for sure and if I could meet him someday it'd be a fanboi moment fs) plus he is so grounded and so humble like damn!! Baaki, Harkirat bhaiya is always a delight and he is the one I look up to(among a very few people).Loved every minute of it❤❤❤❤❤❤ Keep grinding guys, sahi jagah apne aap pahunch jaaoge.👌👌

hey folks, just wanna say that I recently interviewed with GS and got an internship offer over there. But the thing I really would like to highlight is that DSA is very important (First thing they would reject you over). But it is also important to have some hands on experience with projects as during my third round of interview, interviewer asked me about my projects and although I explained things thoroughly but I was not handy with some React concepts so it made him say that How would you rate out yourself as a software developer on a scale of 10. This really made me think otherwise. I am really enjoying building products as of now. Thanks to you Harkirat Sir. I would really appreciate of I could get a chance to meet you once. Thanks

And that should be shameful but it isn't because so many people around us are like that.. Also, you are given 4 years for a degree and if you are saying, you can't do both and do 110% DSA only.. That is just mental corrosion and nothing else. People feel proud to crack JEE, then proud to be in FANG.. These things bugs me.. It should be about the process. This was really awesome ! it was like sitting with bunch of friends and discussing tech and their perspectives on a long chat. Each person has a diff character. perspective, outlook and whatnot. Very engaging one. i binged , its 2:00 AM.

tier 2 tier 3 don't get interview call. that is the issue. and we don't need DSA. low paying 2LPA 3LPA job can be had without any DSA just basic coding skill
While I respect Striver a lot.. 4:40 Where he mentioned Jalpaiguri Govt as to be among top 5 engg colleges I disagree.. the top 5 in WB are IIT Kgp, IIEST Shibpur, NIT Dgp, Jadavpur University and Calcutta University.. And if you stretch the ranking you have Kalyani Govt Engg College and IEM KOlkata which are considered better than Jalpaiguri Govt.

people who actually understand what FinTech means, will never make a mistake to call Goldman Sachs a fintech😂. Its an IB which uses some tech. Fintechs are paypal, stripe and affirm etc
Only one I could relate to is the tier3 guy who focused on development and did things the right way. Focusing on his interests and building things he really wants to build and using that energy to create financial independence. He also seemed the most articulate. The dsa guy solving iit problems is the one I least relate to. I'm also at Google but I think I feel we should all try to adopt his mindset. To the DSA guy I would really suggest working on his general communication rather than solving dsa and iit problems. It would really help him more in career. He is just so irritating getting his point across. You can do nothing about it lol. The guy sitting across just said he didn't use it to get job. Can't believe he started defending dsa when Harkirat said this is what happens with too much dsa The more I go further in this interview the more irritating he becomes. Harkirat would really recommend choosing your guests better. The other two folks are much better
Ni dude Indian IT working in fang is earns 3 times an average American earns, so salaries and standard of Indians is pretty high here, especially in FAANG,

I don't think he was saying it in a negative way. He just mentioned that someone being from a "certain category" and having so high rank just got the seat in IITR CSE. I don't know about you, but I am also in IIIT and I have really seen people struggle, who just comes due to reservation. NO HATRED TO THOSE PEOPLE. But in my opinion it is not fair. He just pointed out that and it is the bitter truth of society and we must accept.

I don't think he was saying it in a negative way. He just mentioned that someone being from a "certain category" and having so high rank just got the seat in IITR CSE. I don't know about you, but I am also in IIIT and I have really seen people struggle, who just comes due to reservation. NO HATRED TO THOSE PEOPLE. But in my opinion it is not fair. He just pointed out that and it is the bitter truth of society and we must accept.
