It would be amazing if you guys would do a video on what all is entailed with not just tensioning but fitting in tuning an extractor. A lot of people think it's just bending it to the proper tension and that's all it is. The shaping process is so much more and it would be cool to see you guys share your process

On your disassembly video, you showed how to break down the gun without turning the barrel bushing, so as to not destroy the fit of the barrel and the barrel bushing. How many times would someone have to do that, to destroy the match fit of those components and the accuracy of the gun? How long does it take for you to produce a gun? I'm not impatient, I just want to know about how much time I would have to come up with the remainder of my payment, after paying my $1000.00 deposit? I'm a true fan of traditional 1911's, and I'm thankful that Beretta9mmUSA (Senior and Junior) brought you to my attention. I will be placing an order for a Custom Carry Model, soon. Take care.
On one of our hard fit guns, you would find that it is very difficult or impossible to turn the bushing when the slide is fully in battery. Alternately, you could pull the slide back just slightly to disengage it from the bushing before you turn the bushing and remove the plug/spring. Another option is to request that the bushing be removable by hand, which some people like to be able to do. Our lead time is currently 6-8 weeks. Thank you for your interest in our custom 1911's!
@@neilsbardella3871 , I asked because I had never heard that advice before; and I wish I had. After much struggle, destroying a plastic bushing wrench and marring the recoil spring plug with an aluminum bushing wrench from Brownell's, I was able to disassemble a different maker's hard fit 1911. I used the aluminum bushing wrench to twice disassemble and reassemble that gun; not knowing what I learned from you about the taper of the barrel. I hope I didn't permanently damage that gun; and I won't ever be doing that with any hard fit guns in the future. 6-8 weeks?! That's fast! Thanks for the informative, thorough and speedy reply.
B Junior and senior are assholes but if there's one redeeming quality it's it they pointed Us in the direction the sbardella arms.
