    Excellent video,!
I got the enhanced version coyote brown in 2010 for 1750.00 new...Great potential !
I agree with every one of your criticisms... If they brought the Remington Military/LEO out in Civilian semiauto that would solve most of the biggest issues. Also I would like to see a 3 position gas block, open, suppressed and off for single shot. Conversion barrels based on the 223/5.56x45... 223 Wilde 1in 8 twist, 24x45Sharps and 300BLK. Heavier 308 versions and conversion barrels based on that cartridge...243Win, 6.5Creedmoor, 260Rem, 7mm-08, 338Federal and 358Win. Drop the price down so folks would actually buy them!!

the mag issue is inherent to stanag / ar style mags, hence the gen 3 pmags with the shelf.

Hey PT. nice video. I just bought the same rifle. I love it. And do love that it's non restricted. I just bought a new hand guard from my buddy out west in bc. He make aluminum m lok hand guards. It's Called RPM precision. Check them out. Amazing upgrade and fine craftsmanship.
    Looking forward to other vids.
    Cheers.

Hi Eric, I do like the rifle too and it's been very reliable. It's not fussy about the ammo I feed it. I've had my eye on that RPM Hand guard and they look great but then I found out the price... ...I do have a Magpul plastic forend on order anyway and I'll run that for a while but the RPM will be next up if I don't care for the plastic. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Yeah. Was around $400 for the rpm hand guard. But very well made and adds more length. Plus has m look rails. I hate k mod. Lol. I'll be looking to buy a folding stock when I find one in stock at gravel agency.
But that magpul fore end is nice too.

A redisigbed rail, and heavier barrel would be nice. Would also put a Phase 5 fatman comp on it.

      Redesigned.....

I don't think a heavier barrel would help for two reasons. First, the barrel on the DMR is already fairly heavy and second, I think the barrel mounting system is the weak link, not the barrel itself. If the rifle did not have a quick change barrel system (like an ar15) it would probably shoot well.

Its a great rifle. I don't spend hours stroking my rails rather I shoot it like it's designed for. I have never seen a railed gun come with rail guards. Polymer forend/rail does reduce weight and possible snagging no doubt. ACR is a bit heavy but it's a beast and runs like a stallion. Eats any 5.56 and .223 I have used, both high end and very low end ammo. It is not cheap to purchase but neither was the production of this rifle for Bushmaster.
It's not a perfect rifle in my opinion. It has some negatives. The biggest is the meager inventory of accessible parts. Bushmaster
has great customer support staff and very quick to respond however if you want a back up part for your kit you will have to wait some time to receive it. I did hear that due to them moving facilities they did have that issue but it's getting much better since they are pushing the sale of this platform once again. It was in Shot Show 2017 out here in Las Vegas.
Here is the deal in my opinion, if you have the cash and are considering this rifle I would purchase. Check out MAC part 1-3 ACR videos for a very detailed review on the basic ACR vs. SCAR. Practical Tactical did a solid review for us on the ACR DMR.
Appreciative I am Sir and Thank You!

Hi Yoda, Yes I agree the ACR will run with about any ammo. No FTFs yet. I have seen those vids on MAC... he does a great job... really knows his stuff.I have some 77 grain ammo on order for the ACR and I'll try that out and post my results. So far all the accuracy testing I've done has been with 69 grain SMKs.

Seems like way too many aftermarket adjustments for the price point.

The issue with this rifle is Bushmaster is now owned/under the Freedom Group umbrella.
Having an investment group purchase a manufacturer is a recipe for disaster because they implement sweeping cost cutting measures, ncluding quality control.
The end result is an increase in profit margines for investers and a low quality shitty product for the consumer.
    RIP Bushmaster.

I wouldn't exactly say its a low quality rifle. It's actually grown on me since the review. Where it really came to life for me was in a speed shooting test against the Robinson Arms XCR. The ACR was so much more controllable in high speed mode. My buddy with the XCR actually sold it after we compared the two side by side. The only real gripe I have with the rifle is how the barrel is not firmly held in place as a result of the QD system, but it's not exactly a target gun anyway so I can live with it.
