@@graffic13 Appt characteristics many older appies have rat tails. I've wondered about putting extensions on them and the poor draft horses that have had Thier tails docked
I realize fully that I simply could not handle going to a horse auction. I would never be able to think rationally enough to leave without a horse (or other creatures)! That precious Appaloosa …oh my. I’d get too wrapped up emotionally and I’d likely be blinded to the downside of any of them!🙏
Current owner is responsible for breeding mare's abuse & poor health. Amish sale? Most likely will end being sold by-the-pound to ship to Canada or Mexico for slaughter. That's reality. (Without lipstick , so to speak)
I'm not sure how i ended up on your channel, I don't even own horses ,I've only ever rode as a child when my grandmother still had horses on the farm ..But I'm addicted to watching all these videos wth..
Ohh, I have the exact same story! Gramma had horses (ponies, really, but one of them was ginormous--a welsh?) and we rode as kids...bareback with just a bridle...I think I got 5 minutes of formal training. I learned the part about only getting on the horse on the left side, and now turns out that's wrong! lol! But, I've always loved horses, I just know they're too much for me, I'd die of worry that I'd do something wrong.
@@Thea_MojaveOutliersWhipmakersit's not wrong, just convention, like walking a dog on your left as it's easier to use yr right hand for other tasks ;)
These videos are not only educational but super fun as well. I'm pretty sure I'll never have my own horse but I still am really curious about all the info I receive here. Keep 'em coming FSE!
I love how you reacted to when you first spotted that appaloosa, you totally feel like a kid again when you see something you absolutely love! I would have no self control over alot of those horses ♥
I loved seeing some of the journey to the auction very pretty. Parker is a very beautiful horse, sad about his tail. The donkey with the fluffy face and ears I wanted so bad. I loved the tiny cows real cuties.🤗🤗🤗
I love Appys 💙 I have had 2 my gelding was a little stubborn and super smart but he was great to ride and never spooked at anything! And my heart 💙 horse was a red roan Appy mare that I used for hippotherapy-children with challenges like autism and Downs syndrome she would be so incredibly gentle and care for her rider and so calm even during chaos 💙 and they both had long full tails 😂 i know some people like the sparse tails because they dont get caught in bushes and weeds
The look that pony gave Kyle as you ran for the Appy was hilarious! And the donkey was so fuzzy and cute! I really thought for a moment the big appy was coming home with you guys!
Hi there!! I have a question for you! How much is English spoken in Germany? It amazes me how well some people from non English speaking countries communicate in the comment sections with proper grammar and spelling. Much better than English speaking folks.
Fortunately the pregnant Appaloosa mare was sold. I hope she goes to a good place! It must be so hard sometimes to walk away. Of course it’s the sensible thing to do. Yet in the moment standing in front of the horse - definitely not easy! It was interesting, the Appaloosa you liked was really pretty. And a solid horse. Yet you could see the spark didn’t fly as it has with other auction horses you bought. Great start for the auction series, what an exciting week for you and for us, thank you for taking us along! 🙏🏼☺️
Let’s go! I love going to auctions with Shae and Kyle! The horses were beautiful at the Smokey Lane Auction, but I didn’t see that spark in your eye when you know it’s the horse for you, Shae. Safe travels and I’ll see you at the next auction! I’m looking forward to it! I love you guys💕 Thanks for bringing us along 🐴
The combination of your intuition and experience always seems to guide you to make the right decision. Your heart and gut feelings always guide you to what is best for you and your family (Including all your 2 legged and 4 legged loved ones). I really appreciate your honesty. Thanks for sharing this trip. ❤🐎
Here I am warm and cozy. My kitty napping on my lap, and I’m going to a Horse Auction. Thanks Shae and Kyle for taking us on this Auction Adventure. 😊😺🐎
Hi Shae and Kyle. I really enjoyed your first auction journey. I also loved the apploosa. I learn so much from you Shae. Kyle supports you, which is awesome. Take care and good luck with the rest of your journey. Can't wait for the next video
My heart horse is a haflinger. Sadly I haven’t seen him in over two years because he had to go back to his home. I love their personality. They’re very cheeky and mischievous. They are also very loving and caring. My heart horse got me through the hardest time of my life.
The big grey that looked at the camera full on, omg gorgeous. The pregnant mare had me in tears just shouldn’t be at auction in that late stage 😢. Looking forward to the next one 🎉
Your channel has improved my life ❤ started watching you when you bought Belle. Raised a horse girl and had an occasional ride on vacations. Now 68 yo and riding monthly and going on a week long dude ranch trip. Thanks for encouraging me to rediscover this passion and that I'm not too old!!!
Shea, you are so much fun, you are one of a kind Lady. I just love you & your horses , you have a great head on your shoulders, some day you will have everything (bigger place) you could ever want.
I love Holmes county. My dad is ex Amish and was originally born there, now my dad owns a trucking business that hauls Amish furniture out of that area, so my dad goes out to Holmes county about once a month to load furniture. It’s always so much fun to go there. Literally all the bakery’s I’ve been to there have been top notch (and i have very high standards for baked goods)
Loved this one, and really looking forward to your sharing the rest of the auctions. I really admire how you openly give a bit of your heart to the auction horses particularly those that take your eye, yet you balance that so well about what you want/need along with the overall qualities of the horse. Saw that with Parker especially, your awesome horsepertise and gut instinct knew he wasn't for you .... your next App is out there waiting to be found by you 💖
On the road again & having fun. Enjoyed this auction. Smokey Lane is in a beautiful area. Some nice horses. That was a tough call with Parker....nice horse. Your auction tour is a good idea. 😊L
Oh my goodness, another bunch of beautiful horses. Oh be still my heart. And this is just the beginning of your journey of visiting auctions. Can't wait for the next one. The donkey was adorable. Happy trails to you and Kyle. God bless.
Just started watching this video and saw the goaties! I used to have goats with my horses when I had horses. They make great companions for each other and also have very similar diets. Goats can be standoff-ish at first but once they trust you they are very affectionate. They also make excellent guard dogs!😊
That pregger broodmare leopard POA (or cross?) is holding on to her foal until she finds her safe landing. This is extremely common in all pregnant animals. A neighbor had been feeding a feral kitten. And last March, when they discovered it was obviously pregnant, they reached out to me. She was young enough to be able to tell that she was only about 6-8 months old herself. I used to work with TNR and Community cat feeders before becoming disabled. So I reached out to my feral/stray cat community and found a foster home for her. She had the babies less than 12 hours later, in the Hav-a-Hart trap! The 1st born was still born, but the remaining 4 were HUGE! Eyes opened a bit early than typical too, some more proof that sweet teen kitty mom held her litter for a safe inside home.
Thankyou , love your action vidios. Learn alot . I know I say that alot but I do learn alot . I wish I had had a instructor like you. I didnt learn anything about the horse really when I was riding .it was all about form .not functioning with the horse . I am amazed at how horses react to you . They realy sense your trust worthy . And though the horeses are a commodity, you do not present that as the only thing . Your vidios are teaching tools and relaxe me too . Thankyou . Lovly scenery too .
Yay. 👍 I am Glad the “hunt continues “ 🐴🐴🦄🦄🐴🐴. There is No Hurry !!! Beautiful sunset at the end !!!! Hope you guys got good rest & safe Travels 👸🏼🧔🏻 🛻 ✨
For that Appies tail use mane and tail shampoo from Walmart or the purple Aussie brand with their conditioners. Leave the conditioner in until the last bath rinse off (like 10 mins or so). It will take a few weeks. I had my girls tail dragging the ground and her mane hung past her neck, then the barn manger suggested I put her in his new property space, and she ended up in cockle burrs and her tail was covered to her tail bone and her mane was covered as well. I cried after working for 3 days to get them out and had to cut most out.
That one you said was a fjord pony was just adorable. You know I didn't have kids but I think ponies that middle size are so cute that that's almost enough to make me want to have them just for an excuse to buy the pony.
Some comments are just like they don't pay attention to what she says at the beginning of every videos. Shae knows what she's doing & what she's looking for. She already explained in the truck that BUYING in that area is very expensive but I think they better double their plans cause they would be auctioning tons more & would need more area
The black chunky horse and the Fjord got my attention as well as the Ap mare about to foal. I understand you have to make the best decision for you, Kyle and your other horses.
