You can still negate cards with optional special summon effects with cards that negate effects that would special summon. Solemn warning (i know its not in edison) can negate starlight road and even macro cosmos.
edison format would be soooooo much better without royal oppression, i do gentleman agreements with friends sometimes where we agree to not play it for casual edison matches

Starlight has to negate to bring out Stardust. Prohibition does not work with on field cards unfortunately. Damn setting heavy storm cost the game forsure.
