thanks!! once it first pops open slightly, if you are having trouble getting it all the way open, i used a flathead screwdriver to give some leverage and then it came all the way open. i felt like i was being a bit rough with it, but some of them dont want to come apart easily! thanks for this video! :)
Flat head works better to make it into two halfs. Original battery since January of 2023 when I bought my car new. 2023 Elantra N. 6 speed manual. Absolutely love this car. One of the best handling cars I've ever driven.
So i did this and all my remote functions is gone… i cant find any solutions online an i have tried multiple batteries. I do see that you used panasonic.. i got energizer with the same type of battery so maybe its the brand?
@@DannyDrives at least 5 batteries in 1.5 years. The car is just a piece of junk. It’s falling apart everywhere. Plus I’m upside down on it because the dealership really screwed me over.
@@brandonverge8275 yes I believe you are right. I’ve heard some people have had no problems and some like myself who have had nothing but problems. I’m glad yours is good at least. My friends 2022 just had the transmission completely fail on her.
My 2021 Elantra is eating fob batteries (2 replacements in 8 months). This saves me the $7 replacement fee and the drive to the dealership. Thank you!
Glad I could help, but idk why its eating the battery though? Any idea why?
Good Lord, you had to have somebody else change the batteries of your key fobs? Thats easier than making a cup of coffee!
Mine does too. Very annoying
Do you leave your keys near your car when its parked? That might be why its draining it
first time ever trying to replace battery in my key really don't know who to replace but found your video and was really helpful. Thank you
No problem!
Thank you MY BROTHER!! Couldn’t have done it w/o your help!!! STAY BLESSED!!!
Glad I could help
Worked perfect. I bought the battery for 1.25 us. Compared to the dealer ship prices this life hack is a steal.
Glad it worked for you!
Quick, easy, and straight to the point, thank you
I appreciate your positive comment!
Teaches in a very gentle way.
Thanks so much

I don’t know how I would have figured this out in a time without internet. Surely would have ruined the key fob. Thanks for this
Glad I could help!
Eureka! The key is in the key! 🔑 Thank you for the demo!!
You bet!
Thank you. Beats paying someone else to do it.
Glad I could help!
i was panicking but your video saved me!! thank you x100000!!!!! your video was easy to follow. i did as you showed here in the video and walla~~!
Glad it helped!
Super helpful and straight to the point
Thanks so much!
So the key is for nothing more than opening the FOB? Or can it start/unlock the car manually?
Basically, but I believe there is a location to get inside the vehicle.
Thx. Is it true that the dealer will replace battery for free?
I am not sure about that. Your results may vary.

Your battery brand wouldn't be the problem. Is there a chance it was damaged when opened?
Awesome thanks, great video straight and to the point

Opening keyfob as shown only reveals a sealed unit..no access to the battery
It is in the video
That's what mine does, too. Opens, but not to the point of showing the battery!

Welcome!
I can’t stand this car. It eats batteries like crazy. Plus the car is basically put together with school paste.
What things do you not like most about the car and how many batteries have you gone through?

I just wanna ask why my Elantra remote died in a year? 🥲
Too many presses? lol
