There was a story of a young girl who was like.. 8-10 I dont remember her exact age, but she was young.
She did some splatter art, and her mother took the art pieces to a gallery, under her name.
The pieces were sold for thousands of dollars, one piece even selling for 50k.
Afterwards the mother came out and told the people her daughter made those pieces. Really made those galleries look like fools.
If the art staff knew the daughter made those pieces, there is absolutely no way they’d have accepted the pieces, just proves how silly some places are.
So it ok for adult to make splattered art and dots and not a kid💀

I suppose its possible they might have, but imagine you are buying art and were told that a 10 year old made them.
Even if the gallery accepted them, I doubt it’d have sold for the same prices. Its my opinion I suppose, but there are some heavy biases to overcome with that.

I never said it wasnt okay for a kid to do that. I’m just saying the art gallery most likely never would have.

She did it, because she was worried the art gallery wouldnt have accepted the fact her 10 year old daughter made the paintings. After they sold she said the truth.

Same, one of my last classes before graduating was Contemporary Art and it was filled with pieces like that 😂 Heck, when I had to do an art show, I made a few pieces like that as a joke.

I agree with Diego because a few years back I used to put my artwork into art exhibitions and the people who were winning first place used to make some of the most stupid art portraits while I took my time making bad@$$ art portraits that deserved first place😂💯

in the early 1980's i had a Engineering Draughting teacher at Technical School who was also a painter type artist.
i remember him saying that a photo or painting of a dog turd, COULD SELL for huge money if either the artis was recognised as "good" or someone rich enough considered it "ART"
Mr Dinsdale had shown us his interpretation of the two footprint tracks/single in the sand of time (God walking beside/carrying) that day, not that bad from memory.
