The reason Baki tried to kill Ali Jr. wasn’t because he tried to steal his girl. It was because Ali Jr insulted Baki by saying he was going to kill him without being killed. That is why Baki let him up after knocking him down, he could’ve killed him there but didn’t and only tried to kill him after he told him he would kill Baki.

Yeah, like if Ali didn't say he's gonna kill Baki then I'm pretty sure Baki wouldn't be that hard on the guy. Plus the part about him trying to steal Baki's girl, pretty sure even he said that he doesn't control her or hold anything against her, she's free woman so if she left with another man then that means she didn't love him (probably screwed that detail up so correct me if I'm wrong).
Either way, Ali was big talk on wanting to defeat Baki because he's a champion and got a beautiful woman which Ali wanted but that sense of wanting them is pretty what clouded his judgment.
I knew he was over when he tried to take Baki’s girl and then they didn’t show one bit of Baki training. You know Baki got way too strong when the creators had to focus on a different character to hype up the fight

@@Noobzlikeu that's what he's saying. Baki definitely trained but we already knew how strong he was. So to hype up the fight they had to focus on Ali Jr because was that much superior. Baki didn't have to prepare for this fight, Ali did. Even so Baki still trained and we didn't see it, just the results

Looking back on it, Yujiro killing Baki's mother really put him on his purpose at at an early age.
Kozue for the streets. She would secretly meet up with Jr. in secret even after he confess to her. Wasn't even cheering for him, showed she was worried after Baki kicked him in the nuts and even went to see him and hugged after the fight

Well the difference between the two is that Muhammad Ali senior was stronger and more experienced, but older with less stamina. Junior was younger with way more stamina and technique.
I personally think Junior would beat Senior if he wasn’t injured. But Senior surprised Baki when he punched him at the end, plus Baki didn’t seem to care that much about actually killing junior.
If I'm gonna be honest. Ali Jr was just all talk and all he was doing was jumping while going through the whole monolog in his head. He said Baki let him got up and that was his only chance but she should realize who his father is and should also realize how fast Baki is during the Chinese tournament.
