Amazing how he feels just so badass. He's only written into the story for action scenes. And while in those he's a singleminded beast. So very little extra to him. And that's amazing. Haven't read/watched most of the thing but nothing revealed about how he came to be. Other than the huge spoiler for another character. He just is. Getting more story about him would probably make his appearances way less effective. I hope he stays an unexplained power of nature.

The high school drama competition thing felt like it didn't bring much to the story either. Introduced new characters though. I dont like the memes about fushigoro using mahoraga in the first. The man fought zenin toji at its fullest and lived to tell the tale. After that he just didn't want to die in vain.
He’s not really an evil person. He was ousted by the Zenins because he didn’t have a technique became an assassin for hire. Actually had a wife a son, the manga doesn’t go into detail on the details of their marriage. But when he dies he tells Gojo that megumi would be sold to the clan because of his technique. He likely told Gojo this to keep megumi out of the clan. That’s all conjecture, he told Gojo to do whatever he wanted with that info. A character like Toji you can’t call him solely evil or bad, he’s complicated. He does go against the motives and goals of the main characters. is he a family man? was he a loving father? did he love megumi? we don’t know all that but he’s not solely bad. I think it’s fair to say that what the fandom has gleaned from what’s been revealed about him is accurate.
