Im very curious as to why is has to be a matte topcoat? I’ve tried this with a no wipe top coat but didnt work for me ): the eyeshadow doesnt stick at all
You’re welcome! Yes it can (I’m especially afraid of the oils mixing into it) which is another reason why I prefer adding/curing a coat of matte before applying top coat. Or you can use a separate nail brush to apply your matte top coat if that feels safer to you. I use two different matte top coats. The cheaper one by Born Pretty is for nail art and the more expensive/favorite one by Ugly Duckling Nails, for the finishing look. Hope that was helpful!

Does it have to be this specific matte top coat or any brand?
Any matte top coat will do. As long as you make sure to properly cure it & wipe over it with alcohol.
wow thanks for sharing!! the eyeshadow doesn’t ruin the matte topcoat?
