HEY Y'all, so I have decided to do a hot oil treatment because my ends were starting to look a bit oil and dry if you get what I mean lol. Because I have low porosity hair, I have decided to use some light oils however, if your 4c hair likes coconut oil, then I suggest that you use that, as it is a light and moisturising oil. I however used grasped oil, avocado oil and some olive oil. Keeping it simple,

@@tshidiradebe I usually do it after since I'm allergic to hair products. So the hot oil treatment is like a deep conditioner for my hair.

So far my trusted products that I use to moisturize is the Afrosense Leave in conditioner, I mix my own oils, then I use the Afrobotanics super growth cream

I do the hot oil treatment then use a moisturizing shampoo and deep condition after 😊. If you are in between washes then you can co-wash 😉

Cooking oils are refined try using organic oils... don’t panic lol 😂
So, I deep condition every other wash day and I know it’s best to do this treatment or pre poo so it can actually work. But on my wash days where I just don’t do a deep conditioner, should I still do them?
I do a hot oil treatment before I shampoo then I deep condition. You can do a hot oil treatment once a month depending on why you are doing it.

@@tshidiradebe so you don't mix jamaican black castor oil with avacado oil n such?? I saw multiple people with 4c hair mention this method but you also mentioned JBCO being heavy. Just trying to get my facts straight hahah. Would mixing avacado oil & JBCO be too heavy?? Maybe use more avacado oil than JBCO??
Castor oil is heavy however people’s hair are not the same. I would say, go lighter, use sunflower oil or sweet almond or even flaxseed and add Castor oil if you want to. Here is a video that might help put things into perspective ruclips.net/video/c6uv9ukKtMg/видео.html
When u do a hot oil treatment after shampoo do u shampoo the oil out after or do u cowash the oil ? How do u get the oil out of ur hair if u shampoo first?
I don’t necessarily wash it out, I rinse most of it out of my hair. I use this process as a short term treatment. My next wash day, I normally clarify
