I really appreciate that you guys play meta lists. Most other channels rotate to try and hit all different armies, but I really enjoy monitoring the meta and seeing those lists used as intended.
We try to have a healthy mix of both :) When the next edition drops, we will be all over meta lists because our collection has gotten quite large! I laugh when I think of the "dark ages" of our channel when we only had 8 armies and only 1-2 real lists were available for each. We have tons of great stuff on the way, thank you for commenting and being a part of our Battleshock Community :)
Never change how you guys work the reports. I can't watch any other reports where I don't know the faction rules, but your channel simply states what things do and what you need to roll to do it. You don't presume we all know the rules, and that is awesome. Love your channel

The scans of the board that you did (such as a at time stamp 16:09) really helped my sense of the board state and positioning. Probably even better than an overhead camera shot. Awesome content, as always.
Fantastic battle report, always love your content. At the end of the first combat phase, you could have used the newly dead ability, with the zombies. So when they drag down and tear apart, the 9 fanatics you killed, you could have created a new zombie on a 2+ with Newly dead. Then you can rally and then use deathly invocation. Zombies are very difficult to get rid of. I love them.
I believe the rule for newly dead states that models must be slain by "attacks" so the explode ability would not trigger it. Rally and deathly invocation combo is quite nice though lol. I used it to get a battle tactic in this game.
Spoor trackers is at the start of your hero phase and is if wholly within 9" also you can rally before choosing endless nightmare tactic. Drag down and torn apart is only within 3" of the attacking unit so you couldn't do mortals to the rockguts when dying from the fanatatic attacks FYI.
Only 100 zombies? I feel like you were really slacking on this one. Another great battle report, so far, still got 30 mins left but I have to be responsible and go to bed. I'm hoping the zombie horde is somehow vanquished. Btw you both get an extra primal dice if someone casts a spell on 2 6's with a primal dice. It came up atleast once in this game but wasn't relevant since you had no more casts left. Edit: Finally got to watch the rest. I cant believe how many attacks and how much damage both armies were putting out and yet theres still a ton of models on the table. Great show guys.
Glad you enjoyed the game, was a rough one for me pushing 200 models around, but also very fun and semi competitive match up. Hope to catch tou for the next one!

I like fanatics as well but yeah D6 attacks hitting on 4s can be quite bad. I had to laugh when the 14 attacks did double digit damage and 50+ had done 0.
Was excited to see a more competitive lists show down only to find out you guys picked the mission that nobody would ever want to play in a tournament.
This mission is quite standard, the rotating objectives are interesting and require thought and the balance of locus vs kill wizard based scoring is fun. Maybe not the best battleplan, but way better than some cough...lurkers below.. cough..cough cough
So I didn't really watch the battle report. I used you guys as sort of background noise while I began work on my first Ironclad. But my favourite moment of the game was the legendary whiff of the Fanatics which paralleled a recent game I played with a friend. 18 attacks on the Great Volley Cannon on 4d6 attacks. 13 of whem whiff, and only 3 of them wound on the next roll. Not quite as amazing as the Fanatics in this game, but God, I know the pain. My wound is still raw from that one.
I would really like to know the odds on missing with that many attacks. Probably at least 1:1000 I miss that battle tactic. lol. In the grand scheme of things it didnt matter, I mean 200 models is hard to shift off of 2 objectives.
Great report as always gents…couple questions for David, would change grand strat now seeing how easy the shire one is to deny?…also was there reasons for not issuing AAA with the Troggboss for the extra attack?
Michael is the Gitz player, but I would say that grand strat is pretty easy to deny. If you pick it for a GT, you probably fail it at least 1-2x so not very good. To many teleporting and horder armies out there rn
We are very busy with making sure you awesome members get additional content, but we have plans to expand. When that happens, we will be able to offer other games workshop content. 40k and underworld/warcry/kill team would be great!
Yes, I go with Dire Wolves as apposed to zombies. I take Torgillius Chamberlain to give the units of Wolves a 5+ ward. I sit Belladamma behind them with a Corpse Cart, so Bella is +2 to cast and Terminus Clock which basically gives her +2 to dispell. (She's a Mortarch for 200 points at that point.) I also take 40 Grave Guard with sword and shield. White King with UP giving the Grave Guard a 5+ ward rerolling 1's and I can summon them anywhere I'd like if I take the first turn.@@BattleshockWargaming
You can and its crazy good! "At the start of the charge phase, you can release this unit. If you do so, set up this unit wholly within 3" of the unit in which it is hidden and more than 3" from all enemy units. If this unit was released in your charge phase, it can attempt a charge in that phase."

Why was it said your zombies have no save, and only a 6+ with mystic shield? Book says they are 6+ save by default.
No save because the rend is too high, the 6 up save is their deathly minions ward ;)

Grave guard standard bearer allows them to always charge a minimum of 6 :)
