You always forget something and I forgot to talk about lace and crochet textures for Left Down/Up Of course R women can wear lace (as L women can wear embroidery) But the intricate irregular knits in current crochet textures items, and also in lace items are beautiful for L
Rita I watch your videos religiously at this point and have always struggled between RU/RD, but THIS is the video which has nailed it for me! My entire wardrobe is made of the prints you recommended for RD. When shopping I get frustrated with items that are a lovely pattern but then have like, a bow/ruffle or some other complex detail, I always think ‘why can’t it just be simple!’ and I now completely understand why. I was also very drawn to a couple of the ‘big floral’ dresses you showed as RU suggestions, I have a few like that, which confirms that I fit best with the RD archetypes nearer the ‘top’ like gentle grace. So much clarity!
Gorgeous and this is so true Rita, I am LD and have this crazy epic mixed outfit of cow print with cheetah print and wear it with a plain black tube top underneath so its a little "sexier" and bang I have never been stopped in the street by so many people!! haha, you are the essence whisperer!!
As a RD I had a few patterns I expected to see, and I did, but you included a bunch of ideas I didn’t expect to see and I’m so excited!!! As always you’ve given us a lot to try and think about.
As a LD I'm so pleased I naturally gravitate towards so many of your recommendations: stripes, floral prints, plaids, watercolour etc and it's so interesting because as a TR I've often questioned some of my choices😄
I was nervous I would disagree with your RU recs, but I don’t! I don’t do a lot of prints, but I feel most drawn to big and bold patterns. I appreciate the styling guidelines so much!! Thanks, Rita!
I’m RU and I find I love to used RD patterns, but do two in the same color scheme. Such as a ditsy floral skirt and leopard pattern boots in the same colors, so it was very interesting to hear the different pattern recommendations and suggestions. I’m going to try some and see if I can get some new ways to wear patterns
THIS is the best video for figuring out one's archetype. I really thought this entire system was not workable until this video. I prefer all R+D patterns naturally (most of my items are R+D patterns). So thank you for posting this video. :D
Im a huge lover of print, and a resonated with everything you said. For years I tried to put myself into the right-prints, and it just never worked. And since I explored more of the left-prints, it’s almost fool proof ! I love the action, intrigue and complexity. This was really lovely and confirming to watch, just makes so much sense, and so inspiring to just go and play and have fun with it ✨
This is an amazing video and has really cemented for me that I am in the RD with a little dip into the LD quadrant. I wonder if you have tips for how RD persons can utilize LD patterns in a Right Down way as you have done with how LD use RD patterns by making it sexier or more edgy?
I never really stopped to rationalize how many amazing types of patterns there are out there! For example, you described a pattern on top of a pattern as really fun, and I immediately thought 'yeah! it really is!' You have a way of making people notice the little things 😊Also, you're glowing!
I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated your suggestions and presentation of the patterns for each essence. Your system helps me synthesize the various complex features for me as a LU, flamboyant natural, and learn to embrace them. It just makes sense, so thank you Rita! Do you have designers/brands that tend to create for the different essences, if so and you have the bandwidth, would you create a video on that please? Or would that be more of a 1:1 feature if so I understand. Thank you for sharing your wonder with us!
So cool! I love patterns but I’m not really sure how to use them in a way that’s cohesive and me but this definitely gives me some ideas on what to do 💕
Looking SO gorgeous! Thanks so much for this vid, applying the suggestions is going to be so much fun, and the way you organized the information was so helpful for some reason.
Just wanted to send a huge thank you for this video. Ive been exploring patterns this year as it's not something I normally wear. Started off with animal print which, although I could carry it off, really didn't feel like it matched my delicate essence so moved to exploring florals. I didn't rush to buy anything. Used my LD logic, took photos and sat with them for a few days and then found my perfect rose print red shirt ❤️ Feels like it matches my delicate essence perfectly and my SGND archetype 😁
I understand the impulse to overlay other systems! but it's not correct For SC in the Kibbe world, the advice is: "PRINTS: Prints should be soft, flowing, and watercolor. Abstract rounded shapes that swirl into each other are excellent. AVOID: Sharp geometrics. Small symmetrical prints. Animated, "cute" prints." While for RD I also recommend small symmetrical prints, animated cute prints and sharp geometrics. And, although I recommend *some* soft watercolors, "swirling geometrics" is my recommendation for Left essence 🌸
@@iwonagrzegrzolka9156 no worries! I just want to clarify also for other people that there isn't really a simple overlap between this and Kibbe or TiB or other essence systems 🌸
I have been so excited for this! I know this would be perhaps a lot of work for you, but if any of the outfits you use in your videos are actually available for purchase, links would be amazing! And that could be another little source of income for you! 👏
Hello! Is it possible to say that the love for sensual images and the desire to be sensual in clothes speaks of the left essence? Or can the right also have this desire?
Am i mistaken or are the RD patterns not very suitable for naturals? It seems very "orderly", with a tendency to being geometrical. Do the quadrants correlate with kibbe types?
They don't correlate to Kibbe. If you want to incorporate irregularity you could for example use irregular stripes (different width, colors, spacing) or a random floral placement instead of a geometric placement. Also some of the suggested prints like dreamy watercolors or figurative prints don't need to have any structured or repeating element. However I disagree with the Metamorphosis book idea that body type is the strongest determinant of patterns that suit you
Also, you look so dreamy in this video! Your jacket, camisole, earrings, hair, and makeup all make such a great look together!
Thank you 🤗
I agree; this overall look is amazing!
Yep looks absolutely fantastic
Especially liking the earrings on Rita
So ethereal and glowing.

Literally ALL the RD prints are the ones I naturally gravitate towards!! Thats so cool.
Time Stamps:
Right Down 1:46
Left Down 5:26
How to make it UP 10:03
Left Up 11:06
Right Up 12:50
I'm going to put chapters on the video but it's easier to follow if you just watch from the start!
Looking radiant! ✨

this sounds so cute! what archetype do you think you are because I would totally want to wear this

Had to stop the video to say that it's a pleasure to look at you shining in this outfit ✨
Thank you for including the strategies to add more visual interest, this is so helpful to me.
Super helpful. I currently only wear solids but I am inspired to branch out a little!

Can’t wait for the next video!!! I am R+D Moonstone, but I really related to this advice.

What about some suggestions for fashion brands or runway shows that you feel embody each essence?
Yes 😍
