This was honestly one of the most entertaining Civ V videos I've ever watched
Spiff I'm gonna need to see you British card, cause unless you exploited the game to let you make a bell out of bricks somehow, you just called Elizabeth Tower Big Ben.
960k views 3 years ago. A spiffing brit video on my fav game of all time? How have I not seen this!
Me: "The Spiffing Brit would never disparage an ancient people's cultural heritage site by making low brow jokes about it."
Spiff: "Hold my pizza."
We are fighting against people with bows and arrows, and we've just learned the gatling gun
Because Reanu Keeves was so good to me for Christmas, this is the first video I'm watching, where I have Yorkshire Gold in front of me.
Any serving suggestions Spiff?
For such a gentleman-like person, spiff is anything but civil to video games. Especially to the civilization series
I couldn't find Madagascar in the list of official Civ 5 civilizations, then I noticed you're using a mod called Lekmod....
"where figthings against people with bow and arrow and we recently discovered the *gatling gun* "
"We're going to choose the cog religion"
Um.
Umm.
Oof
Spiff: The Dutch are over here doing Dutch things.
Me: How dare they do Dutch things.
Idk what is up with spiffs game, but I loaded mine with all the dlc's activated and there is not Madagascar character. The photo in his video is of the Moroccan leader, and the map looks like the Assyrian one. Considering Madagascar is an island off of the coast of Africa, Spiff had to have used a mod to get that character. Anyone can look it up, Madagascar is not a character in Civ 5
It’s a mod. He says it right at the start of the video. In fact, it has the name across the top banner of the setup screen at the start as well.
That "EXPLOITS" is so aggressive it actually made me chuckle
Imagine Civilization 5 Breaking Vox Populi (Mods) - Civ 5 Vox Populi (Mods) is a perfectly balanced game with no Exploit by @TheSpiffingBrit
Me who plays piety exclusively "shit now the world knows my tactics"
When you announced there will be Civ 5 video coming up I was really excited, but it being a mod not the base game you exploited it feels kinda underwhelming. I was hoping for breaking of the game, not someone's mod for it
If you want a broken base game, raging barbs and rush religion to get missionaries that convert barbs. Won’t win you the game on anything higher than emperor, or against people, but it’s pretty funny on lower/medium difficulty
@@craigconnors1329 I play civ mostly on deity, immortal if with friends because they asses are too hard to carry but I will try it out and see how far I can pull it off
The mod he's playing in is the unofficial balance patch that is pretty widely used in the community to make the game less broken. The point is that he broke the balance patch.
also theres playing spain and winning religious tourism in 100 turns, but that's probably too much rng for a video
An empire so culturally profound it broke the spacetime continuum. "So next turn, we will have owned these tiles for 3 turns." "Oh yes I remember when that will have happened."
5th dimensional real estate brokers and purchases. Awesome.
And I thought the Shoshone was a broken start...
If you listen closely throughout the video you can hear Reannu Keeves dragon shouting in the background begging you to come play with him again and Tod Howard crying to the heavens wondering why you left his masterpiece behind.......
Not gonna lie, every time I hear ‘Piety’, I keep thinking it has to involve pies in some way. And who wouldn’t like something based around pies?
Also, what’s the song at 2:28? I swear, I keep hearing in every video and it has a bopping beat.
...also, shout out to ‘Teaism’.
Mmm, pie tea.
it's nice that civ v at least doesn't have any exploits or balance issues in multiplayer, its the main thing preventing me from playing civ vi
No one:
Spiffing Britt meeting Korea: Japan!!!
I remember seeing Spiff play this strategy on the Jingle Jam. I was hoping we'd see a video of it!
