BUILDING PIPE FENCE - BURNING CIRCLES INSTEAD OF COPING PIPE RAILS?

  • WOAH BUDDY! Big fence time. This is the biggest fence I’ve ever built with 6 inch pipe post and 5 inch rails. I was so excited when I got he call about this project and I’ve looked forward to sharing it with you. Today we are fitting up the pipe fence rails using laying out and the circle burner. I wasn’t sure if it would work for this but as you can see it worked great. This method is always fun to build so I’m glad it worked out.

austin, you should build an umbrella on a pole that can be stabbed into the ground so you can cut and weld under it, maybe a telescoping one that you can raise and lower to meet your needs. would help keep production moving along and would take up very little space. just my 2 cents. keep at it.

Austin, brother! You need to take one from my toolbox and wear carpenter jeans when stick welding. I always cram that pocket on my right leg FULL of rods so I always have them with me. Saves a little time if all your rods aren't next to you in a bucket.

That fence is gonna be dope.
What if you figured a way to spring load the point of the circle burner to allow it to compress? The torch could move closer for to the pipes to follow the contour of the pipe.

Certs are mostly useless when it comes to pipe line. But they can be good to have under your belt for getting on single hand jobs which are good experience which could potentially lead to a pipeline job. If nothing else, getting Certs it’s just a good way to get pipe welding experience.
