Porsche 911 997 Tie Rod Replacement DIY (2005-2012 Porsche Carrera, S, 4S, Targa)

- ►Replacing Porsche 911 997 tie rods is a must as the ball joints wear out over time and can bend easily when encountering large potholes or other road hazards. In the instance of this 997 in the video above, the car has around 65,000 miles on it, right at the lower end of the range of 60,000-100,000-miles that you typically replace these tie rods.
This DIY applies to any Porsche 996 911 or 997 911 across all of the years. The kit featured in this video contains inner tie rod ends, outer tie rod ends, and boots to fix any slop in your steering system.

At the end of the day, everything we drive(Although we consider ourselves enthusiasts) is nothing but Metal, Glass, Rubber, and an occasional Plastic piece. So when are you doing the IMS and rear main seal ???

You cannot replace the IMS bearing on those cars without splitting the case.. nor is it needed. so the answer is .. never
