The Antithesis switches far more than entities. It reverses the events between two points in time itself, as in it alters the past to change the present. It's how Ywach gets out of the womb they were trapped in by having Uryu switch Ywach's place with that of a Quincy medallion thrown after they were caught.
For those who don’t know Jugram can use the Balance without his shield and it’s not just his fortune/ misfortune he can redirect but anyone’s in his vicinity. Also antithesis can’t switch the sequence leading up to the events only said events.
Or to make it simple : If someone is injured, Ishida can switch the injuries of that someone to someone else. The Antithesis switches the states of 2 targets. Another display of the ability is when the cage of life imprisonned everyone, after throwing the Quincy badge out of the cage, the Antithesis lets Uryu switches the place of the badge with Yhwach, freeing the father of all Quincies and putting the badge back in place. It's like Boogie Woogie on steroids.
The Antithesis is a better overall Shrift, because it can affect more than just living beings, it can affect objects, conditions and outcomes. However, the Balance is a hard counter for the Antithesis.
Uryu probably would've won if not for the shield stopping Jugram from taking damage It's equipment and not apart of his Schrift the Balance so Uryu is technically stronger but he can't beat Jugram due to the shield IIRC the balance will give both combatants misfortune which is then absorbed by his shield
Uryu's SHOULD be one of the most broken abilities in all of anime. It doesn't matter how strong you are anything you do he can switch it to happen to someone else
Dude uryu is the strongest sternritter period, the lowballing he gets is insane, he outright can counter any bs gimmick any other Quincy does including ywhach himself in certain instances, and was running the ones with the almighty powered hashwalth ALL NIGHT, combine that with he defeated renji without even using his schrift and solo’d a bankai wielding senjumaru. Add to the fact he is the only Quincy to date who has defeated a captain, more specifically mayuri without a schrift or volstandigg
Yeah he was running the ones with almighty Jugram since he can't really use the almighty well in combat but he got his shit ran as soon as Jugram got the balance. Plus Uryu used Letz still or whatever it's called against Uryu aka the og vollstandig. Edit: Against Mayuri I mean.
Another theory is that if his opponent somehow gained a huge amount of power, Ishida could use Antithesis to swap situations, giving him the power boost his opponent just received. Just a thought.
Pretty funny how the voice of Sasuke gets a power that's basically how Sasuke uses his Sharinnegan. Like in boruto when he shifted himself with Momoshiki into his own chains. Or using it on different objects like his sword and his chidori.
Also Antithesis can work on objects as well, as seen when he switched the position between Yhwach and a Pendant. Meaning its also an amazing mobility option and given Uryu main weapon being a bow thats a plus for creating distance, just an extremely more versatile ability
its also bc jugram really rely on that fking hax shield to absorb his own misfortune which is unfair asf imo? rmb how tenjiro disarmed him & then easily 1 tapped lmaoo
@@jdchy6181 i mean uryu rely on the antithesis pretty hard to take out Senjumaru not sure what your point is. Take that away and jugram still slams even without The Balance.
Its so messed up If yhwach was able to see the future why did he granted uryu this schrift, in the first place why did he even picked uryu if he can see future Or did yhwach already knew that he is going to die this time but he will be able to free his father ?
Honestly I lowkey feel like Antithesis was somehow an ability that was possessed by Uryu before and it wasn't really a thing that Yhwach gave him as Schrift, something similar to Pernida's and Gerard's schrifts, because why would Yhwach give him the ability to pretty much counter himself at first place
There was a theory that jugram was using his shrift to buff Royd during his fight with Yama, which is why he lasted this long. Only futher proving how OP yama was that even with the help of balance, Royd lost
Basically, The A-The Antithetisis will override B-The Balance bc of its superior higher order of importance. My guy Kubo really called plan B the balance, the Uryu Ishida at home.
I don't think it's because Uryu is green he loses but imo balance just counters the antithesis or at least holds an advantage. Uryu with more experience might beat Jugram but it won't be because the antithesis gets him the win it's because with more experience he'd likely just become far stronger than Jugram at a base leve similar to Bazz and Jugram where Jugram is so much stronger he doesn't even need his Schrift to beat Bazz. Otherwise the Antithesis is just a fortune farm for Jugram, every single event he reverses is a double swing for Jugram(good fortune for Uryu turned into misfortune and misfortune for Jugram stored in his shield).
I feel like people are really forgetting that Jugram himself stated that the Balance is the perfect counter to Antithesis. Antithesis is better than the Balance in a lot of waysn but the Balance is its counter. No shit Jugram was able to beat Uryū. That doesn't mean the Balance is better than the Antithesis. Bleach fans don't read the manga. What else is new?
Also, Jugram's shield is literally the thing that made his Balance a good counter for the Antithesis. Without it, he's toast. Well, not really. Regardless of schrift, I do believe Jugram has the most raw stats amongst the Quincy, just below Yhwach himself, so even without his schrift, he's still a force to be reckoned with. And also, just to clarify, I do think Jugram is a more effective combatant than Uryū. But this is talking about just their shrifts. In this regard, Uryū is better.
Everyone is talking about Jugram’s Almighty while not even thinking about his shcrift The Balance. Seeing Uryu and Jugram fight with their schrifts is going to be insane The Antithesis and The Balance! Considering they both are basically the same ability! The antithesis is a schrift that enables Uryu to be able to reverse the events that has taken place between two entities, however The Balance is an ability that has less to do with events and more to do with fortune. His schrift gives him the ability to tip the favor of fortune towards himself rather than someone else, but the reason why The Antithesis is better than The Balance is because it can not only switch the events but the sequence in between the events also gets reversed! For further clarification Jugram’s schrift can only switch the fortune of his opponent with his misfortune which gives him the edge but Uryu’s schrift allows him to not only switch the events which gives him the edge but the sequence leading into the events also gets switched! The Antithesis is furthermore a better ability because Uryu can switch the events between different people and not only himself and while Jugram can also give fortune to people around him, he can’t switch other people’s misfortune for other people’s fortune!
The antithesis can counter the almighty and the balance can counter the antithesis. I think that's why yhwach placed uruyu above jugo because he knows jugo will watch uryu like a hawk
I disagree, Yes antithesis is broken but its moreso because of how hard it counters Almighty. I mean Uryu got saved by Aushwalen in his 1v1 with Jugram. Uryu got hard bodied in that fight. Honestly Jugram is broken enough that he prob wouldnt even need the balance outside of 1v1 Uryu.
Jugram's Balance Damage/Durability Reversal and Synchronizes well with his Equipments since he can apply it to his Equips while Uryu's Anti-Thesis basically Reverses/Inverses anything, anywhere and anytime(Events, Space, Time, you name it.. maybe except Complex Concepts) Simply put. If Balance is Tier 0 then Anti-Thesis is Tier EX.
My dude, I’m not hating, just pointing out a contradiction. I understand the ability of Atenthesis (prolly spelled it wrong) but hear me, Uryu would only NEED use that ability in a situation where he was in severe/mortal danger (I.e him using it to reverse the bankai) but it Haschwalt’s ability is to switch fates, then he can counter Uryu’s counter, thus making HIS ability more broken Example: Haschwalt catches Uryu off guard and aims at his neck. Uryu activates his schrift. Haschwalt activates HIS in response which counter misfortune (I believe a head getting cut off counts) and BOOM Uryu’s head is rolling
@@MozartmehI mean events that have already taken place and time for him to be able to reverse and manipulate them it's still categorized as a time manipulation ability.

"Antithesis is better". Balance vs Antithesis canonically: Balance wins...the advantage Balance has over Antithesis is that the Balance 'tips the scale in the users favour' meaning it doesn't swap events with your opponent it changes the events to favour the user. Balance hard counters Antithesis because if Antithesis swaps events with a attack then the other person will still be alive because the Antithesis user has to be alive to use it meaning the Balance user will be able to continuesly 'tip the scales' against the Antithesis user until they explode due to the misfortune by Antithesis. Calling Balance just a worse Antithesis is ignoring that the Balance is a way more suitable for combat than Antithesis.
Yeah no, because if both uryu and his opponent are injured, the antithesis doesn't magically fix everyone, and he still has to rely on his own power to set up situations for the antithesis to work well, the balance tips fortune in jugrams favor so much that it let's him just break the rules. My attack can't hurt you? Sounds like too much good luck for you suddenly I can one shot you. Your attacks are hurting me too much? Huh suddenly they have no effect. You are faster than me? Weird now you can't even react to my movements
This is what people would argue to give Uryu the W if these two didn't fought and Uryu had fought someone else Haschwalth didn't fight Uryu, He bullied him that's the only way to put it, Like no elite sternritter fight was the one sided Uryu's got his ass beat so bad that they giving him a big buff in the anime😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 tell me that I am lying 💀
I don’t agree with the premise. In the manga Haschwalth beat Uryu using the Balance. It was essentially Almighty beating Balance, which countered the antithesis, which countered the Almighty.
That's fair however I see it in the way that The Balance beats the Antithesis due to the fact that Uryu getting a Schrift is good fortune, dodging any attacks would be good fortune, surviving any attacks would be good fortune and if Can-du surviving a sword slash is enough to warrant a one shot then Jugram has more than enough good fortune on Uryu to just one shot him, preventing the use of The Antithesis. Meanwhile, The Almighty beats The Balance due to being able to simply change the events brought about by Jugram's Misfortune. Finally, The Antithesis beats The Almighty due to Yhwach being able to choose and change the future, but Uryu can simply change the events that led to such a future, resulting in a more desirable future for Uryu. That's just my reasoning tho.
Also Balance has draw back, that happen to be fixed using Jugram's shield so it looks like flawless ...

They are perfect cpunters for each other. They kept passing their injuries back and forth from one to the other hahaha
The Antithesis is a better overall Shrift, because it can affect more than just living beings, it can affect objects, conditions and outcomes. However, the Balance is a hard counter for the Antithesis.
The Antithesis would allow that giant quincy dude to grow infinitely
Autor himself: balance hard counters antithesis.
Some random youtuber: here is why antithesis is better
i mean book of the end can counter almighty's effect, does that mean it's better? you can have a stronger ability, but can still be hard countered
Their whole fight felt like "no u"
Ah yes the "nah uh" vs "Max luck" tale as old as time
So we gonna ignore the fact that Jugram literally DESTROYED Uryu in their battle in the manga ?
He had had 1000 years of experience. Uryu had 10 days
Less experience
@@andrewrenshaw2741 If Uryu had the same experience then Uryu would be the easy winner...
Uryu probably would've won if not for the shield stopping Jugram from taking damage
It's equipment and not apart of his Schrift the Balance so Uryu is technically stronger but he can't beat Jugram due to the shield
IIRC the balance will give both combatants misfortune which is then absorbed by his shield
@@D1DPR as usual, kubo with asspull!! That shield, just like shinken hayokken!!
Uryu's SHOULD be one of the most broken abilities in all of anime. It doesn't matter how strong you are anything you do he can switch it to happen to someone else
As a fan of both Bleach and Medaka Box, I applaud Kubo-sensei for inplementing such concepts for Sternritter powers.
Bro really just yapped for a whole minute and said a whole lotta nothing
He beats up any gotei 13 member
You fail to consider that up until Auswelen Uryu was getting his shit rocked by Jugram
@@literalcancer8810Jugram who has a shield which absorbs misfortune and who has the Almighty
No no, I understood everything no worries
Anthesis > balance
Jughram > uryu
I understood but also had a stroke listening to this 😂
it's just the plot shield of jugram that enables him to survive thr antithesis
its also bc jugram really rely on that fking hax shield to absorb his own misfortune which is unfair asf imo? rmb how tenjiro disarmed him & then easily 1 tapped lmaoo
They were sharing their power with the sternritter
@@jdchy6181 i mean uryu rely on the antithesis pretty hard to take out Senjumaru not sure what your point is. Take that away and jugram still slams even without The Balance.
In summry, Antithesis is like vengeful spirit's netherswap. He swapped with senju and he swapped yuwa with the coin he tossed.
Bleach is the most understanding anime and manga.
Its so messed up
If yhwach was able to see the future why did he granted uryu this schrift, in the first place why did he even picked uryu if he can see future
Or did yhwach already knew that he is going to die this time but he will be able to free his father ?
Never in my life is my dumb ahh brain understanding these 2 abilities
Turn down your text to speech speed to like 85% so we can actually comprehend what you told it to say
Antithesis is just "Nah, I'd win" but it's Uryu.
Way to hit that word count
mad unearned op abilities 🙈
Antithesis is Uno Reverse Card
Balance is the 4 color card 😂
I understand virtually none of the words that left your lips moments ago
"It just works"
Honestly I lowkey feel like Antithesis was somehow an ability that was possessed by Uryu before and it wasn't really a thing that Yhwach gave him as Schrift, something similar to Pernida's and Gerard's schrifts, because why would Yhwach give him the ability to pretty much counter himself at first place
There was a theory that jugram was using his shrift to buff Royd during his fight with Yama, which is why he lasted this long. Only futher proving how OP yama was that even with the help of balance, Royd lost
So it's like a little almighty 🤔 😂
I cant wait for the uno reverse fight
Basically, The A-The Antithetisis will override B-The Balance bc of its superior higher order of importance. My guy Kubo really called plan B the balance, the Uryu Ishida at home.
If Uryu only knew how to use his powers. He’s basically a baby against jugram.
@@UngoyPrime a level 100 Venosaur will still lose to a lvl 100 Charizard
Jugram is very old, even older than Grandpa Soken
Imagine if uryu had antithesis and the balance
3:54 "Its a long run"
Sadly Uryu are still newbie, also he lacks experience compared to Jugram
Uryu will cook in Anime
If it wasn't for the Quincy King Ichigo friend would be dead ichigo's friend's ability maybe better but he still lost a fight
The Anti Thesis is more versatile and harder to block but the Balance is deadlier
Just take the shield away from Haschwalth and he is done
@@user-qc2kt5kd3i didn't even use it against ichigo or Bazz b.
Antithesis - Endless Uno Reverse Card
Balance - Luck Manipulation
The antithesis can counter the almighty and the balance can counter the antithesis. I think that's why yhwach placed uruyu above jugo because he knows jugo will watch uryu like a hawk
It just works
So Uryu is broken right?
Basically which hax is the better uno reverse.
Jugram's Schrift is useless against one shot attacks, as Tenjiro Kirinji literally knock out Jugram's shield and then one shot him with only Shikai.
Yeah, you need to tank the attack in order to activate The Balance
I disagree, Yes antithesis is broken but its moreso because of how hard it counters Almighty. I mean Uryu got saved by Aushwalen in his 1v1 with Jugram. Uryu got hard bodied in that fight. Honestly Jugram is broken enough that he prob wouldnt even need the balance outside of 1v1 Uryu.
Jugram's Balance Damage/Durability Reversal and Synchronizes well with his Equipments since he can apply it to his Equips while Uryu's Anti-Thesis basically Reverses/Inverses anything, anywhere and anytime(Events, Space, Time, you name it.. maybe except Complex Concepts)
Simply put. If Balance is Tier 0 then Anti-Thesis is Tier EX.
My dude, I’m not hating, just pointing out a contradiction. I understand the ability of Atenthesis (prolly spelled it wrong) but hear me, Uryu would only NEED use that ability in a situation where he was in severe/mortal danger (I.e him using it to reverse the bankai) but it Haschwalt’s ability is to switch fates, then he can counter Uryu’s counter, thus making HIS ability more broken
Example: Haschwalt catches Uryu off guard and aims at his neck. Uryu activates his schrift. Haschwalt activates HIS in response which counter misfortune (I believe a head getting cut off counts) and BOOM Uryu’s head is rolling
So can the anthesisis possibly revert time ????
No. Just events.
@@MozartmehI mean events that have already taken place and time for him to be able to reverse and manipulate them it's still categorized as a time manipulation ability.
@@SasukeY2JItachi No, it's the reversal of events. Lets not get carried away. That's akin to saying Law has reality manipulation due to his DF, which is taking it far.

@@TimCarter1 Well, no one glazes anyone elses ability except the Almighty, which has no limits.
Basically Sasukes rinnegan ability in high steroids
Wait so like uryu could shift him and others in different places and for Blanche he can shift his misfortune to make it his goal in victory?
You clearly don't understand the balance
The balance is way better in offensive situation or if you get jumped.
This is what people would argue to give Uryu the W if these two didn't fought and Uryu had fought someone else
Haschwalth didn't fight Uryu, He bullied him that's the only way to put it, Like no elite sternritter fight was the one sided
Uryu's got his ass beat so bad that they giving him a big buff in the anime😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 tell me that I am lying 💀
Watch uryo get the almighty by accident using the antithesis
I don’t agree with the premise. In the manga Haschwalth beat Uryu using the Balance. It was essentially Almighty beating Balance, which countered the antithesis, which countered the Almighty.
I ain't smart enough for this
only liked because i’m an uryu fan. but the balance>>antithesis
The Antithesis is better the the Balance is better to use against the Antithesis
Ishida can just kill a fly and switch that dmg with someone else😂
