@hij I'm not necessarily going for a slick back. More of a Dr Strange from the MCU style. Mid length side part but with a looser hold so the front will be free to fall down a bit throughout the day.
@@TDMStyle Lol I just saw in an email that they have a shampoo, curious if you have ordered that/looked into that, looks like a great product! Excited to hear about your review, any idea if it will be during the Black Friday sale? So pumped!
So I'm thinking about getting into the oil based clay game to try it out. Was wondering if you could briefly give me a basic rundown of Fuertes and Frost Moon differences. Watching the 2 reviews doesn't do much to distinguish the two. If not it's cool man Thanks in advance!
Fuertes has an easier scoop, feels a bit less waxy in the hair, and has a lightweight feel but sets into a nice med-firm hold. Frost Moon has a bit thicker, waxier feel with the hold setting in a little quicker. And a very hard scoop, but breaks down easy.
Another great review! Side thought: have you ever thought about checking out some of the men's hair products from Paul Mitchell? A lot of local barbershops, where I live, carry the MITCH and MVRCK stuff. Just a thought, as I'd be curious about what you think.
@@TDMStyle They really are, lol. I've gotten so used to using many of these homebrewers that I sometimes forget to check out what's available on the shelf 😂 I used to use Mitch a lot back in my early 20s.
Not relevant to this vid but in your SR american gardens vid you talk about the hair length and it being hard to style with drier products. I think i am in the same situation and have always gone for dry / matte paste products. Can you recommend a high hold matte finish smooth to apply product for longer thin hair?
Seems like they updated their website, so the Gerson & Co stuff is under “Integrity Shop” now - but I guess they are sold out of Tropics. I only see Orchid and the original pomade on there currently.
Tough to say! Hustle is def one of my favorite true-medium clays. But lately I've been into OB clays like Fuertes and GCTB big time, although I think those are a little stronger than a medium.
Would first hand supply clay pomade be okay for a thin textured fringe? I can’t use anything that has too much shine because it makes it greasy and need something that’s smooth and light enough that it goes in easy while still providing hold
@@alejandrocruz8515 if you want the highest hold possible, you have to embrace the "not so easy" application. with that said, products that I have found that are somewhat easy to apply and give a pretty good hold would include tai ping clay pomade (imagine arcadian but slightly less dry and is actually a firm hold), ziggy supply clay of the undead and gerson's tropics matte clay.
Does anyone expirenced that the smell is almost like aventus only going rancid? It smell sour. I tried 2 small scoops and it is tacky.omg. it was almost impossible to brush your hair.
I don't know who wants to hear this.. Last summer i buzzed my hair because i started getting this feel of "most of my self confidence coming from my hair" and i didn't felt quite good about this so i started focusing on my personality and the altitude i maintain with my friends and family...all i wanna say is dont mentally invest so much on your hair to the point where it starts blinding your true personality...just a self realisation...btw I am a 90's too...excuse my grammer I'm kinda high😂🥃
shoutout to my fellow 90s kids
Been using this since your first review. Really great product. The reformulation just made it easier to scoop.
this bgm is one of my favorites from your hair product reviews and quite glad that you are using this tune again! :)
The timing on this was perfect, I planned on ordering some of this today along with some frost moon
I'm actually really interested in Frost Moon. I want to try an oil based clay and can't decide between it and Fuertes.

@hij Thanks for the tip man! 👍
hey matt....review the flagship streamline paste along with black water, if possible.....good review as always...
Hey, saw earth made came out with a new product, concrete, a former hold. Have you see it?
Waiting for it to come in the mail!
@@TDMStyle awesome! Gotta tell me how it is, wanting to try it out!!

@@TDMStyle Sounds to me then for a looser but controlled style that Fuertes is my guy then. Thanks bud!
@hij For me the Fuertes reform def has more hold than the OG. Solid medium+ for me!
Would like to see a review of Oasis Grizzly Matt Paste 👌🏻
Me too even though I bought it.
Me too!!!!

Yeah they are definitely on my to-do list, since they're such a big brand and like, everywhere haha

Love the video Matt! Also will you pls review the concrete paste from earth madeco.
For sure! They actually just emailed me about that the other day, so I should be getting it soon 👍🏻
Hair looking 🔥 in the demo

What type of clay is best for fine straight hair?
Hey Matt, when is the fort molding paste review coming up .
Not just yet. Gotta buy it still. But soon
I wasn’t able to locate this product on the faith and integrity site. Would you know if they still carry this product?

@@TDMStyle ok. Thank you.
Looking forward to the gaming channel, Matt!
Thanks!!
what is your favorite medium hold clay or medium hold product ?

Yeah you'd be fine with a variety of different clays or matte pastes for that type of look.
Make video on how you color ur hair so much
I don't do it myself, I get it done professionally at a salon once a month.
@@TDMStyle plz make vedio on that plz
I have several videos on various colors I've done already on the channel :)
@@TDMStyle It would be more interesting if u make more vedio on hair coloring brother.
What’s up Matt !! Nice review !
Thanks!
Do you have any recommendations on a product that would tame my hair, I have thick hair about 7 inches in length
Depends what you're after. Hold level, finish desired?
@@StrappingYoungLadam
Something like with the highest hold possible, matte to low shine, easy application
@@alejandrocruz8515 Well with longer hair you aren't going to find anything to cement it in place outside of maybe hairspray unfortunately

22.50! I'd have to be insane.
I mean that's very standard pricing for similar quality and similar size hair products these days.
Hey out of curiosity do you have any other job outside of youtube?
Ah American stuff. Can never get hold of it in the UK
Gerson & Co is from Singapore.
Alright now green hair
Eh I don't think I can pull that one off lol
