    Strange that the sport's governing body can only show 6:38 of coverage of their showpiece (men's elite) CX event of the year. Found and watched the FULL race yesterday on another channel. UCI needs to up their game - they talk about globalising the sport, and they still use host broadcasters who geo-block the coverage of the races. Poor show.

      Absolutely right , at least show decent length highlights , 15 minutes or something like that.
      You can't increase interest in relatively obscure (Belgium excepted) sport if you only appeal
      to people who are already fans.

    Very nice, fast track, perfect weather. Tom at his peak, LVDH and Eli couldn't get him. Also, I love to see so many people watching and supporting CX riders.

    That course was too fast... where is the mud or sand? It was like a crit on dirt with a bunch of stairs.

      @@theriskinator5736 in Belgium we appreciate greatness, of the riders at the start line Pidcock is by far the biggest champion so I was also happy he won. And Iserbyt isn't liked by many in Belgium at all, and we know the other Belgian riders just aren't good enough in absence of his majesty WVA 😁

      Not really, we didn't send our best rider, this world's didn't really matter without Wout or Mathieu present. They were kind enough to give a chance to the mortals to win it 😅

    loved the way he got tired of Belgian horseplay and just left them. Wout is by far the current dominant force but Tom has a unique opportunity ahead. Olympic Mtb gold ; World cyclocross champ; Win the world's road race this year and he'd become the only man to do the sweep across the events.

    I have a hard time calling this cyclocross. More like a criterium on dirt.

    Nice gravel track, next time we could race on the Strade Bianche course and award the rainbow jersey there... The most underwhelming CX track I've ever seen, and it was the World Championships.

      He probably was the only one with time for a bottle hand up in the pits because he had a comfortable lead. Could've managed a slice of pizza too.

    Disappointing course. Not technical enough for elite level cross. No surprise the road pro drops everyone and rode away.

      @@boNOOBod variety? Take a look at the race track from Belgium, Netherlands or France. Thats variety! Here was just a kids track where 10 years old kids take their first steps into the world of cycling 😉

      @@boNOOBod Variety means having a snowy track once in a while and loads of other tracks with fast, technical, muddy and sandy sections... And the WC track should be comprehensive of all of the above. I could have ridden this track and I have never even clipped on a CX bike.
