You're the bestest. Mine had a ripple fitting with a 15mm hex to get it off and the screen is like a tube. Once you undo it it pulls out. Cleaned it and runs like new again
Thank you…your tip worked for us! Saved us a trip to the repair shop. Husband has been using STIHL products for years, never knew the screen was there!
Thanks a lot man. Really appreciate the video. I got a Stihl F38 and the exhaust hole was plugged with caked mud; cleared it and it revved like a champ.
Thx, Dude! Mine was doing this and I was to the point where I was going to go buy a back up. Followed these steps and it runs as it should now! Appreciate you! 👊🏼
Great advice, my trimmer works great again. What is the brand name of that additional grip you have bolted onto the trimmer? My wife wants it to help alleviate back pain when she uses the trimmer. Thanks
Ive been to vegas once on a business trip many years. I remember riding over to henderson to see where king of cars was filmed. I did notice that not many people had grass. I've seen the painted grass on different videos. Do yall ever rake the yards to put designs in the yards or??
@@Fentertainment oh yeah people have all kinds of rock gardens in thier lawns.. looks a lot like a Zen garden!!! I’ll send you some photos of your old cart in in Henderson lawns.. when I get it…lol
Tried this. Thought it worked... My FS55 runs great till it doesn't. Bogs down and won't run right. Flowed your advice. Thought that was it. Nope. Removed the spark arrestor. Ran great....till it didn't. Seems like 5 mins at WOT is about all its good for. What's step 2 after cleaning and removing the spark arrestor?
I have a similar problem. My fs80 runs great till it's hot (30-40 minutes of use), then it bogs & stops on acceleration. I can restart and get it to idle, but it dies when I touch the accelerator. I removed the exhaust - screen is tine and no exhaust flow issue.
@@stevealexander8010Both of mine did the same (run ok until hot, 30/40 minutes or less) then would bog down completely on acceleration and stall. Would still start and idle though. Did my head in so much I ended up getting an electric one. Things an absolute torque beast and has zero problems. Would recommend if finances allow.
Toss screen in garbage. Best place for it. I’ve removed the screens for years. All 2 strokes run better without them. I’ve never even seen a spark come out of one.
Why not just remove the screen? I’m concerned my favourite trimmer is bogging down once it has been used for about 10 mins then have to let it cook down again before it runs without bogging but then it only last 2 mins before bogging again…. Screen removed.
Me too. Thanks! The video title and the content are perfect. She's purring like a kitten now. Love it.
Dude Thank you, you just saved me $350 I was so frustrated I was about to go buy a 90 series. Changed the spark plug and did this runs like new.

Thanks for the information. Did what you suggested and it runs perfect now.
Worked like a charm! Weedeater's idle with up slightly, bit nothing an idle screw adjustment won't fix!
Good man, thanks for that pro tip for getting it clean so fast and easy. Thats all i could say to myself as i used the torch.
Thank you so much for this video. You saved me so much time and a bunch of money having to send my two tools to the shop.

Maybe a dirty filter screen in the carburetor.

Yup similar issue for me. Bought a new trimmer cause of it. But the new one just doesn’t have the jam my old one does

Mine did that with low octane fuel. 91 ethanol free and no more.
Thanks very good info . I’m going to try this 🎉
What is the name of the handle you have on your weed eater

Is the only way to clean that screen is with a torch.
