As a metalhead who have listened to thousands of songs with amazing outros, I have to agree! I'm pretty sure this was the first outro I've ever heard in my life.
Faith No More - one of the most epic and experimental bands ever. They refused to be labeled...period. Their work deserves way more attention than it gets. Love it or hate it one has to always admit that they were never afraid to try new things.
this song was 9. on US Billboard Hot 100. This was HUGE deal for music genre like that and open many doors for many musicians. IMO Grunge wouldny take off without this song.
No kidding. If I even had just a fraction of one of the members talent I would be happy lol. Of course one should never discount hard work either and I'm sure they worked very hard to become so talented.
They were the world champions of unique, versatile music in the 90's. God, the 90s seem so cheesy in hindsight, but yet the 90s was pretty solid in alot of ways. There was alot of cheap LSD and over half of the Patton era FNM albums were recorded and released. The president of the USA was a sax playing stoner with a weakness for women. Rave parties became a huge thing, which is okay if you like techno and EDM (and you like when teenagers have a cheap venue where they can listen to computerized music while they take designer drugs and have Earth scorching sex) It was a pretty good decade for freedom in America, probably the final decade for freedom in America. Special thanks to the UK for rave parties. 🤩🤩🤩 Brain cells I will never get back....
Oh, and yeah Faith no More are extremely underappreciated by the casual music listening public. Chuck Mosley was a boss, but Mike Patton is just his own entirely unique tier of talent. The guy should damn near have a genre to himself called Patton Core maybe.
I swear Mike Patton's voice gets stranger as the years go by. Only he would be able to do something completely different with how this song is sung and still make it work so well.
@@zombiefrogg8542He's having fun with it. The dude can go from singing Opera to straight Death Metal gutterals in the drop of a hat. I'd imagine rapping is boring as fuck if you're capable of that

I read some haters hatin these guys b/c their older, like only young people create good music. Yeah, right. These rockers havent changed their inner passion & they still rock.
Chris Cornell will always be my favorite vocalist and I can confidently say no one will sing better than him but Mike Patton is easily the craziest and most badass vocalist of all time
Chris has great range, yes, but his voice is also very boring and he sounds like an old man straining his voice at times. He's the perfect example of why great range doesn't necessarily equal the best singer.
I was never a huge fan of FNM, but I love how they let their style and aesthetic age along with themselves, it's a smart move and it pays off. The all-white summer resort attire and the floral arrangement makes a strangely endearing contrast with the metal music, which is exactly what they're going for. Honestly, I feel worse for bands that reunite in their 50s and pretend they're still in their 20s, in order to please fans who still have an image of their favorite band being young.
Man Faith No More is one of those bands where they don't age. Like they have WAY more energy than a lot of bands these days and their songs just can't get old.
Listening FNM from 1993 and until now 2024. I am 47 years old, the greatest Korean fan ever !!! I waited 2 hours just to meet Mike Patton outside 930club Washington DC in 1999 and 2000!
Dam he still sings almost the same. He still ROCKS this ODD COOL rock...What the HELL is it? Wish I was there. The 80S And 90s so cool .2000 rock songs suck weak. Crank it all the WAY up! Still well keep ROCKING DUDE!
Fantastic performance, MIke`s voice is amazing, drummer is even better than in his 20`s, sound is great, i really pray for this guys ...I sincerely feel in my heart that FNM is most underrated band in history of music ! oh, and I really like their stage, it look and feel so pure and fresh, but music is 100% power, totally present, clear and focused ! I feel something good will come again from FNM :))) Its such cliche that stage and band members.. all scene must look like horror movie, to be really badass, well there are many such bands without being "badass" at all, but FNM are all in white + flowers and them and music is 100% badass !!
No no, I clicked the video because I wanted to watch, but mostly hear a recent FNM performance and was delighted about the chill setting and clothes. Very refreshing! Why do you assume I'm white?
I'm fromt he SF Bay Area and while we had some great bands come out of there (Sly Stone, Huey Lewis, Journey, hip hop for days), I think Faith No More is the crowning achievement of everything San Francisco Bay truly is. It's like it's all been swirled together in a giant shiny pail.
This band is so good it makes me laugh. They’re freaking amazing. Emotionally I can only laugh at how the industry and radio were never kind to FNM. Everyone in the band is feeding like a shark frenzy off the energy they’re getting back from the crowd…

The intro is extremely "epic" as well... the guitar, with the keyboards epic sound with it, make for a very epic intro.
Even after after of these years, it's nice to see Mike Borden still beating the hell out of that drum kit.
Every band needs a clone of Mike Borden.
*Bordin*
There’s a reason Ozzy Osbourne chose him for his band.
Yeah hes a beast and I don't think I've seen many drummers who have their toms almost horizontal!

What a great live version of this epic song!!!! Mike is still slaying those vocals....no fish was harmed in this song!!!!!

His name is Billy Gould. One of my favorite bassists

still the same awesome band, they just do what they want independently from musical categories or trends
