My hearing is going too, tinnitus. I was usually really good at what pitch and sounds were required. It seems to me now listening to the female and male voice when they sing together, it sounds off to me. Kinda of sad for me I guess, After years of piano playing I feel like Beethoven.
I am sorry about your hearing problems. I am 76 and started my lifelong passion for Mozart at age 3 and a half when I heard my Mom play the the 1st part of Mozart's Sonata in A maj. I have a letter from Mom to Dad telling him I was insisting on piano lessons.

Arriba vuele alto Maestro
The Requiem in D minor - is Mozart's last unfinished work, on which he worked until his death. The Requiem - is one of Mozart's most famous works and is considered one of his most important creations. This version of the Requiem is, in my opinion, the most dramatic, emotionally gripping and inspiring. . . Thanks and deep bow to the conductor, orchestra, soloists and choir !
The next time the Bolivar Orch. performs Mozart's Requiem, it should be in memory of Patricia Janeckova, the great Slovak soprano who died of cancer last year while still just in her 20s.
Maravilloso! sublime!

The way Mr. Carreño passes from the Introitus to the Kyrie gives me goose bumps all the time. A fantastic conductor, with passion in his eyes while leading a flawless orchestra and choir. One my favorites so far.
The adagio tempo in the beginning works perfectly for allowing the listener to drink in every note, and with it, the profound emotion of this most beautiful work of Mozart. The allegro tempo later is a beautiful contrast to the adagio. The choir, orchestra, and conductor can be very proud of their magnificent performance! Tan maravillosa!!!
Absolutely and I used to sing that song in choir it's so sad and beautiful he's magnificent I lived in Venezuela for 15 years congratulations it's amazing beautiful thank you so much
You wrote a great comment. "What power, what glory, what pathos"--beautiful words, indeeed. Let's not forget Mozart wrote this piece in light of one of the deepest Sacred mystery of Christianity--the Holy Mass which make present the Passion(his power), the Crucifixion(his glory), and death(his pathos). Mozart was Catholic and Catholics belives that the one time Act of God's Love on Calvary and His Resurrection, in time n space, being made present thru out history since this Act is always Present in God's Eternity. So when Catholics attend Holy Mass, they participate in what God does in the Present--atoning (His Passion), forgiving(His Crucifixion), and interceding(by His Resurrection)on their behalf before God the Father. So this music meant not only beautiful in itself, objectively speaking, but a sacred reminder in our hearts and minds and our inner souls the Most important Act of God's love.

Gregory and the Simon-Bolivar orchestra, chorus and soloist have captured Mozart's Requiem Mass K.626 to absolute perfection at his darkest hour. I believe this is the most sacred and these people's performance of this is the single most profound piece of music divine by God. If Mozart was able to watch this performance he would say this is exactly note for note from beginning to end what I strove for when I wrote this Requiem Mass. It is the embodiment of the most sacred piece of music and the best interpretation of it, I believe in all in the music history of the world. A performance that will live forever!!!
I agree with you . Amazing performance under the direction of the Wonderful Conductor. The Solists, the Choir and the Orchestra seemed to be called, enchanted, recreated the work of Mozart in such a wonderful way ... Piotr
Perhaps since Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is alive in the spirit world, he may have had the opportunity to hear this.... Yes, it IS Most Beautiful, and similarly played and sung by this amazing group of Musicians!!! God's Blessings upon you and yours, @susanhouse938... With Love, Fran Danco
I love this piece... so many uniquely exquisitely beautiful moments, one after the other. I never cease to wonder at how great music composed on one side of the world centuries ago can be embraced, performed, and perfected (and shared) on the other side of the world, with the indisputable excellence seen here. It shows how we are all more alike than we are different, I think, that there are absolutes of emotion that all humans share. It gives me hope that all of our differences can be solved, even when everything else seems to suggest that maybe they can't. Crazy, I know. It makes be both sad to the point of tears and ecstatically happy at the same time.
Warren Schroeder -- Thank you for your beautiful thoughts put to words ! Yes, the most beautiful ! Perfectly executed !!! And Yes, William, We Humans WILL Overcome All Differences before this world is finished... God Bless You and Yours... With Love, Fran Danco

Magnifique !! La plus belle version je le pense !!
With Love, Fran Danco
you've expressed my sentiments beautifully, better than I could, thankyou for finally representing what I've felt so long but could not say
Amadeus Great Genius !

the passion of the conductor is transmitted into the choir and orchestra to make this an outstanding performance of a fantastic requiem.

Excelente hermanos venezolanos,!!!.
Never has this much performed piece ever moved me so. Wow. Wow. Wow.... Telarc should have recorded it for the world to hear this great western music out of Venezuela. Turns out is was truly an historical event of a time gone by.
Fantastic!!!!! Greetings from Sweden! :)
How beautiful symphony! Because of requiem! Top symphony!!!!
This is the absolute best Requiem I've ever heard. So much fire!
yes yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is fire the right word?
@@johnbradbury4000 A fire in the hearts?
Try the Gabriel Fore requiem for a different style but equally excellent.
Muy Lindo..Venezuela.....Fantastic Orquestra...
This music is medicine for the soul
My appreciation and congratulations to the Conductor for his remarkable achievement. 😊
Semplicemente sublime.
Absolutamente maravilloso. Enhorabuena Venezuela
The passion that the conductor has in his eyes makes me emotional Everytime... I have Requiem tattoed in my left arm because of Mozart... This presentation is just amazing.
It's incredible how the effect of slower tempo from the beginning, allow you to picture heaven doors more clearly. Despite the lower quality of recording, still superb interpretation!
Lacrimosa the best I ever heard. Bravissimo!!!
Just perfection. Mr. Gregory Carreño is the best selection and choice to represent what this Institution is. His elder son Alejandro Carreño is the Concertmeister of this marvelous orchestra. The soloists at Tube Mirum were excelsious My God what a marvelous project Mtro Abreu is recreated in every single performance through not only the Simon Bolivar Orchestra de Venezuela but all the other 7 professional Orchestras belong to FUNDAMUSICAL BOLIVAR.
This is, by far, one of the best I have heard!!! Sends chills down my spine!
GRACIAS !!!!!!!!!
The best, most pure and passionate Requiem performance I ever heard! (I believe Mozart would prefer this version).
