Ecoflow Delta 2 rocks !!!! Ive owned a few Ecoflows over the years. All of the older ones charge within 2 hrs and the new range all charge within 1 hr. Doesnt make a difference if it is River or Delta. They all charge super fast
Its a great product,, and especially for us at this time with loadshedding starting up again in South Africa, its a really nice thing to have around the house :D
Sorry to hear about all the work needed on the Hilux, Adrian. Maybe time for a LC 79 like Roelfie’s? All the best for 2024 and looking forward to more videos
It’s still going 👍🏻 just fallen abit behind on the tech side these days with some of the other offerings available. But it was a good pack for all the years and it still does what it needs to! 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Hi Adrian, compliments of the season - may 2024 be a super year with lots of new adventures! Thanks for the video, you actually touched on something I was wondering about - a portable unit like this in stead of double battery system or wiring etc. My question: I would mostly do weekend off road trips, wild camping - how long would the battery on the Delta 2 last running a National Luna 60Lt only and would the unit be fine going over some bumpy terrain? Also, where did you camp, this looks like an awesome spot!
It can definitely handle the NL60 for a weekend, especially because youll need it plugged into the vehicles 12v socket while youre drivving. Securing it properly will be important but those big top handles make it easy to tie down. It would be good to have a solar panel too ideally for if you want to spend more than a day at camp! This camp spot was booked by Nicky and it was up near Groenrivier on a farm there, it was excellent! You could probably spend less money doing a decent DC-DC system in you vehicle, but you will lose the convenience of being able to bring it inside and use it for loadshedding!
@@RoamOverlanding Thanks for the great and detailed feedback Adrian, much appreciated 👌Also have a 2.4GD6 DC 4x4 auto with Bushtec canopy, contemplating the Viper exhaust upgrade with a stage 2 ECU remap and blanking the EGR. I stay 120km from Cape Town, would be great to meet up someday somewhere off the beaten track, maybe a will bring some portable power 😁
Definitely avoid going stage 2 without installing an EGT gauge first, they make them way too hot! IF you are going to do it without one then go to Koosi Swanepoel Developments to get it done there, he considers these things :P @@lianduplessis5214 I havent blanked my EGR, but I use a catch can instead, and recently took everything apart and was quite surprised how good a job its doing for the intercooler etc, let me know about the EGR blank as you go!
@@RoamOverlanding Thank you so much for the valuable tips and reference Adrian, I will look up Koosi and give you feedback - 1st cold one on me if we cross off-road paths 🍻
I think the thing I missed the most was my rooftop tent! Hahah! Ground tent life... its not bad, but I definitely needed a couple extra hands to help set that big 3x3 Canvas tent up!

Such a great vehicle!
Thanks for the awesome camping trip! Was a great way to relax and rewind from a long year 😁
Great hearing from you again Adrian! Looking forward to what you are put out in 2024....
More to come!
105 is an awesome vehicle.
What tyres are on the vehicle.
Im from your comment in the x-overland ep.6 .good luck on your future overlanding adventures.
Thanks for coming
I have the Ecoflow River2 pro.. bit smaller but it runs my fridge non stop. Can’t recommend them enough
This episode seems like an ad for EcoFlow. Good for you for being sponsored by them.

Nice to see a return to basics. Most of us could never afford your Hilux setup. Thanks for another great video.
Yup I feel like it always has value to show the simple way! Simple is best!
Happy New Year. Thanks for sharing and taking us along

It would be nice! Hahaha! 🤣
Hi Adrian , why all the work required on the Hilux? Just investing in the future or did you actually pick up issues or have breakdown.
@@francoisrossouw1656I’ve done a 40,000km trip in 2023, and it took some serious abuse!
I think it’s ideal for a budget build or where one doesn’t wanna run wiring.
For sure, a great general life tool!
What's the make & model of your foldable 220 wats solar panels? Are you happy with them?
That one is an Eco Flow solar panel it performed very well, it just needs an extension cable.
Adrian what happened to the Jackaberry

Feel sorry about Hilux. You like it and your look nice🛻 But LC105 is cool, now you have the best car in the world.😎✌
So true. Just try think of other cars which come with coils all round, solid axles front and rear and 3 lockers all from factory!
I love it
Had to do a double take. Thought you'd stolen my ride 😅
Hahah! Its a great vehicle!
How you miss the luxuries hey 😂
The west coast will always be my favorite, probably because a grew up around the west coast....
