- New Starter Decks are NO LONGER Available in the store. They are only obtainable through the prologue.
- Make sure to look at the official rotation article on the Runeterra website or check out my rotation video in the description. This is the best way to clear up any confusion around the Standard and Eternal gamemode.
Can I still get these 7 starter decks?
@@VaultsofFaults I made one yesterday, what are you strugglign with?
In my experience epic cards are even rarer than champions. You can get a champion from the vault, champion capsules in regions, wild cards from regions, small chance to get in chests and craft but they are pretty pricey. Epic on the other hand have their capsules in regions but they're pretty scarce you can craft them and in chests you get a random epic from any region so pray to gods that you don't get that Heimer statue from PnZ and that is if you get one at all
Great point. I tried to avoid epic cards as much as possible for upgrading the new beginner decks
I legit gathered all the champs, commons and rares but still has 6 incomplete FOUNDATIONS epic cards not to mention the rest of expansions (i am F2P)
But most epic cards are thrash. Riot used to released thrash epic cards like a meme. They don’t do this anymore and most epic cards currently released are pretty good and playable but over 1 and a half years thrash epic cards are still there and be a huge majority. So there’s really no reason to care if you have many epic cards or not.
@@hoangvietnguyen949 Yes but for example if someone wants to play Aatrox deck most of the if not all darkin are epics. To play mono shurima you'd have to get ideally 2 ascended's glory or whatewher the spell called and the sun disc if you don't have it. Also timelines, aram, barkeep and whatewher else is there. The odds of you getting them are pretty low from the vault and for the new players it's hard to get that many shards
YES, I agree with that. I've got covered almost all the champion but still has many epic cards left to craft (f2p & take an occasional leave from time to time)
I am new to the game, started 2 weeks before the rotation. This game is so f2p friendly. Maybe the first 3 weeks i played only path of champions but now i feel i have a good collection and tons of resources. It does not feel bad spending money on cosmetics instead of cards. I am saving all my resources while i find my playstile. This guide is really helpfull. Good job.
I play the game since the beginning, but you still managed to hypnotize me, and I watched your full video. Great content! Loved to see you explaining the game
I heard the game is pay 2 win. Is that true?
@@GodOfFools no, it's not. You can pay money for more cards, but the game is already very generous if you just play, giving you a lot of cards every week. And there is no paid advantage inside the match
@@GodOfFoolsThat is probably the dumbest and most outlandish take i've ever heard, whoever said that must not have more than 2 braincells. It's literally almost impossible to spend money on the game, there's no gacha, no pay to win card packs. It's so hard to spend money that the game is losing money just by existing.
This Video has such a good timing for me. I downloaded the game yesterday and i was pretty overhelmed from all the stuff.
Awesome, hope it's helpful! And if you still have any questions feel free to ask them :)
11:56 i was expecting a GrappLr "GIVE ME ALL THE VALUUUU" reaction
Honestly POC is a fantastic way to gather resources and get familiar with cards
AFAIK there is no way POC can give you resources for PVP mode, no? Something has been changed?
@@maksimmikheev5896 I’ve played POC for a month, gathered wildcard and packs and crafted 7 decks for pvp afterwards
@@maksimmikheev5896 PoC gives you the same amount of stuff as playing the regular mode. It lets you progress quests, gets you the win exp so you can progress reward tracks and weekly vault.
I started 2 years ago. Crazy how much new stuff we got since then 😅
Probably the most important that you miss, is the eye. It's super helpful!
Great idea for a video Snnuy! This is a very complete guide for starting the game. Nice to see the upgrades for the starting decks too.
Good job Sunny, it's a really really useful video for the community!
you can tell how much effort he put into the video and how long it took him by seeing him clean shaven at the start of the video and then slowly getting a beard by the end 😂😂😂 good stuff sunny
LMAO this video aged me a couple of years
Watching this definitely taught me a few things I wasn't aware of, thank you so much Snnuy!
I play lor since the beta and i still watched the entire video, great job Sunny
As a 2 year player of this game, I needed this pls dont ask why
*I felt that*
bro your editing is super smooth i love the transitions between sections too, very well made vid
Exactly the vid i needed to link to my noob Friends that i want to convert to LoR 😍😍
Ive been playing since Beta. This video is great and I appreciate everything you do for the community Snnuy! You are actually cracked. I am amazed with your ability to make video essay type videos, stream, and typical deck video coverage. You are the best content creator the community has.
I am happy you are making content like this so I can hopefully get some friends into this wonderful game. Much love my man keep it up!
Absolutely love the video! It oozes with dedication and care, keep up the good work!
Great job Sunny. This video is going to be a fantastic resource for new players!
As someone who has played since the beginning but took a break during the keyword spike, this helped me brush up. I've always played PvE or against AI so playing ranked always freaked me out. Now with the resources, I might try my hand at them. As for new players, you hit the mark every time. This will help so many Snnuy. I'll see you play on your next RUclips video.
Great video! Just a couple of points to fix/improve:
• You messed up edit of the Dragon deck creation, where you have two first segments. In the first you remove chain vest, confront and guiding touch and screen later the cards are back.
• In external resources section I really missed the in client leaderboards. For me that is the most simple way to copy current tier 1 decks without having to rely on external pages that might update slowly then live leaderboard.
But overall a great guide with tons of useful info!
Thank you! Leaderboard is definitely something I should have included, I've just always disliked how you cant get a quick preview of the decks because you have to click first
Wow!! Just jaw dropping!! What a video. Congratulations Snnuy!!
Take my like king
I initially read that as “take my life king” and was a little scared lol. I mean, that would still be fair, just unexpected
@@echooriginal4453 ME TOO
I wish videos like this existed when I first started playing Runeterra.
Keep up the great work, Sunny!
Sunny! THIS is the video I was looking for! What a time to be alive.
This video is so good! I play LoR almost 3 years too and This video recall me when I'm just a noob!
I remember when u first started playing LoR i played 9 hours straight (the whole night from 11 pm to 8 am lol) and i felt like that was some of the worst player experience ever, just getting put up against real experienced people with my trash decks was so sad lmao (i even tried building a Soraka Elise deck since i didn’t know what the cards did and i just wanted to build a Shadow Isles Targon deck💀)
But after that struggle i quickly came to love LoR!
And now im watching this because if there’s one thing i don’t like about LoR is how much im struggling with getting cards so i just want to know what im doing wrong because farming for weeks to unlock a fun deck only for it to get nerfed into oblivion is such a bad feeling and already made me quit the game twice bruh
Well, now we know which link to use whenever a new player needs help!
One thing that could have a good explanation is the attack token, particularly regarding how Scout and doing a free attack works regarding it.
this is one of the things i REALLY wanted to include but decided it wasn't super relevant to new players because the beginner decks don't have any scout units. in the followup "getting better at LoR" video, i will definitely include scout interactions.
Thanks, this was really useful!
I've been watching LoR for quite a while now, but never played the game myself because I didn't think I had time to grind the game and get all the decks I saw the big youtubers playing. This was because of my experience with HS and it's ridiculous requirements.
This game seems much easier though, and having this guide really helped give me a direction to go with my play time. Now I know I just need a few matches everyday to eventually have a solid collection.
Dude you are a great content creator I have been playing runeterra since it came out but I still watched the entire video from start to finish great video as always.
Thank you for existing. I really wanted to learn how to play against other players which I find difficult because I get angry for my lack of knowledge about decks and cards and this really helps. Definitely gonna go back on this video for the recommended decks.
This is the first guide which incudes the one and most important information for newbies...and its SLANG.. dude big thumbs up to you for the empathy you have for the new players...
I've been playing since Rising Tides but I'll still comment to support my favourite LoR content creator 💗
i already knew the game so it didnt help me but its a really really good tutorial that cover litteraly everything u need to know and very helpful for beginners.
Thanks for making this! Hopefully, this helps bring more people to this hidden gem of a game.
Super well crafted guide~! Watched even tho a veteren and glad to have you in the community - makes me want to try more in ranked.
This video is really useful even if i have been playing for a while. Your content is always great. Keep doing these!
Great video. I'm always trying to get my friends to try this game but many find it hard to get into so this will be a great help.
What a video snnuyyyyy .
So much effort and passion put in this content, thank you !
I returned to LoR a couple of months ago, and your channel and content has been amazing
This video is awesome as well and keep up the good content❤️
This was really well explained! Wish I'd had this the first few months of playing
Wow, I really loved this video. Really very useful
Even though I'm not "new new," being a beginner who only plays every once in a while finds this extremely helpful! Thanks Sunny!!!
I have played this game for 3 years and hit Master a couple of times and i still learned some things in this video ^^
Sunny you really do such amazing stuff for the LoR community - thank you! 🥰
Great content, wish I had a video like this back when I was starting.
In all honesty I've loved seeing this as it's helped me with extra info I didnt already know, but I'm a little sad that some of the other gamemodes get mentioned but then again this was made before the patch xd.
My biggest tip for players is to look at the labs e.g: Noxian wars as it allows you to try different champions and their type of decks whilst also playing with a friend. It teaches you new champions and how to manage your mana/hands.
Such a good video! Welcome to all the new joiners, this is the best card game around.
Thank you so much for the guide! Quality of the video is amazing, I enjoyed it a lot and learned some stuff as well, thanks!!
HE FINALLY RELEASED IT!
I'm not even beginner but I'm watching it anyway
Wished I had this when I started. I was so focused on Argo decks I didn't pass gold for months now I'm constant plat with plunder decks. My advice for starting is always adapt.
Sunny is a legend for this youre an incredible content creator for the LOR community
Super helpful, I’m trying to get back to the game and not get frustrated from the start, perhaps your guide will help out with that. Thumbs up!
As a long fan of LoR, I'm happy that we have such a great community leader as you :3 really apreciate the effort you put into videos.
That's a great guide. For later video remember to teach about importance od some tricks like ghost blocking, baiting by open passing etc Pulling them off is what makes new players love the game.
:3 gay
It finally happened! Sending to all my friends. Thanks, Snnuy!
I played a bit of Runeterra a few years ago (around 2020 I think) and I finished the tutorial but stopped playing after that then played a few games during the Arcane event then stopped again and I had an itch recently to play some Runeterra, this video will be a great help in getting me back into the game and maybe I'll play more than just a few games this time.
Rarran should watch this xd
Rarran and Snnuy's colabs are the best thing out of both channels.
Hey Sunny 🌞 thx for this video. You really help me to get a couple of things I was having trouble with!
Love from Argentina!!!
Definitely want more videos, this has been most helpful for a newbie like myself
Loved this video and I know that, if I were a new player right now, it would def help me with everything that's in the game! Also, thanks for the slang guide, that was really helpful!
One thing I never discovered how to do is what is the key combination to add cards to the deck? Like when there is a copy of a card in your deck and you want to add more(besides the classic method of searching for the card in the collection)
Probably.. click to the right-end of that copy? (the number ending)
It takes me a while too to know about it..
You just left click on the number on right side of the card preview
Ive been playing Runeterra for its entire life span and Im just watching this video not only just to watch and support Snnuy, but also to make sure I know everything there is to know
Thank you for this, excellent vid
Really well done video! I hope LoR brings more players into the game, no matter which mode players end up enjoying the most.
I hope the devs are working on PoC 3.0 upgrade or something, it starts to get really boring really fast. And let's not talk about the GAMBA (mostly by RNGesus) there... 😀😀
As a new player, the most challenging aspect for me was learning some of the mechanic caveats. For e.g. it took me a while to figure out that attackers with overwhelm can strike even if their blocker has been removed. Also that the total cards in play can be more than 6. You can have 6 attackers + 6 cards "in play" at the back if new cards have been summoned attacking (for e.g. shark chariot).
Pretty sure that only works with ephemerals. You can't have more than 6 normal units. But yeah I have been playing this game for a long time and I still find myself wondering how does this interaction work fairly often
@@tudorminciunescu9614 it works with any summoning ability (which is typically, but not exclusively, Ephemerals). It is only temporary however. Anything over 6 that isn't killed during the battle will be destroyed instead of returning to the bench
Thank you so much for this! The dragon deck is the only one legal anymore so this helps me upgrade it cheaply to hoard some ressources
loved the slang section. Really special
super informative video :)
Video was suuuuper helpful, thanks man
Good to remember that friendly matches give a good amount of exp for the first 5 victories, and 5 defeats. Also, Path of champions give exp bonus for the first 3 wins of the day (like pvp exp bonus) ❤
Great video! This video will definitely get a lot of people into this game
I've been playing this game since the release, but this video is top-notch!! I will absolutely recommend it to any new player who wants to approach the game!
Thank you so much. Just like what i need for this game
Very well put together video!
I dont always comment but this was really great.
Been playing since the start and i loved every single bit of this video. You are my fave LoR content creator. Hope you're doing well Snnuy! Much love from the Ph.
Thank you so much for the kind words
Really useful video for beginners of this great game
i would love a video explaining more vague things such as how much exp each mode gives and more complex but still good tips about deckbuilding and stuff, because this video is super great so an advanced version would be awesome
Pog, also in a followup video i would recommend how fiddling with the stack works. Like killing a unit that the opponent is using the SI draw 2 on to stop that effect. And to stay vigilant around popular cards like Deny
Another handy thing to know is that both PVP and Path of Champions have their own xp bonus for the first wins of the day.
3 for PVP (+400, +200, +100)
3 for Path of Champions (also +400, +200, +100)
This means that you can get bonus 1400xp everyday from that
Great job snuuy❤ really helpful for new player.
I just start playing weeks ago and I been looking for a video like this thx u . I will be waiting for next video
I'm a returning player and this is super helpful..thanks!
Yo @Snnuy a little mistake over here at 24:45 you said to remove guiding touch, chain vest and confront but then you rerecorded or smth and removed chain vest and confront the second time at 25:13 but not the guiding touch, I think this might be somewhat confusing for beginners. Great video btw. I play since the release from time to time and even I found some new information here (mostly slang xd).
So helpful, thank you! SUBBED!!
WOW! What a wonderfull Video! I played the Elite Deck and I am 20 - 0 at the Moment.
Im not a beginner, but this was still super interesting to watch. I wish I had this when I started!
Thank u thank you for this video...I started a while ago and I've just been winging it so far
Great video snnuy,if this video was 3 months early I think would help me(I was very lost to get a deck that I like, and did take time to me)
Excellent video, you earned a subscription
This video explains so much,my friend will not have excuses now😂
(If i have to say one thing tho,is that while talking about the decks, you mentioned what to replace with, but if a new player want to create his deck, what should he look for?I know with time and experience+watching others play they'll learn, but still🙃)
Thanks for showing me how to get cards faster and how to upgrade my deck. Just starting out and I feel like I've missed out on so much. Gotta go back to eternal someday and make a deck with Yasuo.
this is the only good guide i've seen of this game
Hey Snnuy, great video as always, I've been playing since Targon and have aslo been watching your content since around the same time.
Since you're planning on making more beginner's guide videos, may i suggest that you put a sprinkle of quizzes on your community page? (either review questions for beginners to remember the terms better, or interesting trivias that intrigues people into looking at the game)
And to all you who are new to the game, welcome to Legends of Runeterra, I hope you enjoy your stay.
Good idea! Thank you!
@@Snnuy No, thank YOU for making these types of videos.🌞🌞
That was an interesting suggestion. I love QUIZ.
Let's goooooo here it is, thank you! ❤
Great video!
Good stuff! Just build my first deck
I will watch this guide, not because I am new to the game, but because I know Sunny will totally be on point. Let this be a token of my gratitude for all he has done to entertainment and LoR since the beginning
Wow , where have you been before 3 year when this game come out xD fantastic video , keep up
