- I have finally finished Youth of May! Dang, it really takes a long while for me to actually comprehend the ending and the drama as a whole. After numerous contemplation, rewatches, and discussions with my mother (yes, she cried in almost each episode), I decided that this drama is truly something else.
Kim Myeong-Hee is definitely a really well-written character. She deserves the whole world. Go Minsi is amazing at what she's doing. Her acting never fails to surprise me. Lee Do-hyun..is excellent. I love love them both so much.

Thank you for this edit. I think Youth of May really evokes emotion in me and makes me want to be grow up independent of the situation into a hard-working person like Myeong- Hee or Hee-Tae. (When hearing Myeong-Hee my head puts ssi behind it like how Hee-Tae called her.) And idk why this makes me more sad.

I really like the speeches u choose at the beginning of the video because it shows how her dad had influence in her personality which most people didn't seem to notice. Like when Myeong-Hee cried about her dad's death many people( on the viki comment) blamed her without taking this into consideration.
That being the reason she couldn't make up with her dad because (as in the letter) he held back her wings which then were spreading widely to fly as shown in the end scene :plane as a metaphor for Myeong-Hee(my interpretation). Hee-Tae who gaves her the support (*)to fly and was given strength by Myeong-Hee to wim against the tides.
(*) that her father didnt give at that time
Sorry for talkkng so much k just finished the drama and couldnt think of anything but Myeong-Hee and Hee-Tae.

all her life, she lived quietly, was never asked how she’s feeling, always sacrificing her happiness for others. then came into her life heetae, whose first priority was always myunghee, the first thing that mattered to him was her happiness, if she’s okay, if she’s smiling. even tho the story had a tragic ending, it was beautifully tragic. their love was the purest i’d seen. cheers to dohyun & minsi for such amazing acting.

myeonghee became my favorite fictional character i really fell in love with her, her death was unfair and the most sad thing was the fact that she died silent without anyone knowing where and how, also i guess i've never cried so much for a character, last night i just closed my eyes to sleep but i couldn't i can just think of her in the middle of the forest alone saying her last words.

Min Si really became Myunghee in this drama... I felt like it was a different but real person. Just like losing someone precious, I know I will never move on from Myunghee's death.

It's such an amazing tribute for her. It made me so emotional. She seserved better. When she finally decided to live her life without thinking of others and choose to be happy, all these events happened to her and she didn't survived, i'm so sad.

myunghee is the most independent and well-written female character ever, btw the last word she said before she died wasnt "I see the stars" but she said "grasshopper" which heetae talked about before. hence heetae's humming was playing in the background

I love her acting so much it's so hard for me to watch the end since I don't want the drama to end. And every episode kept spiraling to disaster after episode 9. A bit unrelated but I adore her Gwangju dialect it was really cute
