  • In this video we harvest our 2022 wheat crop . Using our John Deere S780 combine with tracks we harvest our wheat crop. And using our John Deere 8R 280 we pull our tracked auger wagon.
    I would definitely appreciate it if you were to leave your suggestions for future videos in the comments below. And your opinion on this video. I want to know what I can improve to make corn dynasty a quality RUclips channel that people enjoy. Even if you just say something like, if you want me to talk more. Or you want more drone video. Or even the length of the videos. All of these things will help.I will respond to your comments Just about as soon as I get them. Thank you.
    We are a small, multi-generational family farm that has been no-till for over 4 decades. Our farm raises winter wheat, rye, corn, and soybeans.
    Like my drone, order it on Amazon:

    Maybe the name of your farm, your name and do some explaining about what your doing and the equipment your using and how it works and show some more personality. Talk to us like you would your friends and neighbors. Tell us a little about your life as a farm son. :)

      Thank you very much for the advice. Our last name and name of our farm is a little private because we don’t want any problems with intruders but the other advice I really appreciate it thanks.

    Great video, how much does that combine cost and tractor?

    • @corndynasty
      @corndynasty  2 года назад +2

      Thanks, there is about a million dollars of equipment in the field. Farming is very expensive. Big tractor power the RUclips channel explains the cost of other farmers equipment and details a little better. I would suggest watching a video or two from him if you are more interested.

    What are the advantages or risks involved in a no till crop?

    • @corndynasty
      @corndynasty  2 года назад +1

      The advantages is that you keep a lot more moisture in the ground, you have less compaction, less cost, less weeds.The risks or disadvantages is that you might not get as good of a stand, and when you combine the beans you will have to go slower because of the added residue of the wheat. We have found it is better to no till our wheat and most people do the same.Thanks for watching.

    I understand you don’t have to do anything but the sound of the machines can be it’s own music if you catch my drift.

    • @corndynasty
      @corndynasty  Год назад

      Some people do like the sound of the machines. In fact I did make a video about a year ago of soybean harvest with the machine sounds but it didn’t get many views. So that’s why I use music instead, because most people like the music better. But thanks for the advice I might start doing a little machine sound, and do some music in separate clips so both audiences can enjoy.

    How high are you cutting the wheat? We want to plant our cover crops the first time this year, but we dont know how much of the wheat you have to cut to prevent losses but on the other land leave enought stubble to protect the cover crop an keep the moisture in the ground

    • @corndynasty
      @corndynasty  2 года назад

      We cut our standing wheat about 12 inches. But if the wheat is laying down we cut it about as low as we can go. We put palisade on our wheat so it stands up better but it also makes it a little shorter. So everyone’s operation is different. that’s just what we do.

      Thanks, we are actually done planting everything and we just finished harvesting our wheat and rye. All we need is some rain because our corn looks a little crispy in the 100 degree heat.
