Love that T-shirt, it is a good motto to live by. It is good to see you were getting some half-decent yields in this vid. Wishing you the best as you travel up north.
Good to see the grain carts put to use this season. Finally! Hopefully you can work them hard on the final stretch. You are an amazing team and i wish you all the best and a good crop. This one and futures ones. Greetings from the north of Sweden
Nice looking barley. Mine did about 2bu/acre. recropped in pea stubble. Spring drought, they needed reseeded to get any stand. Did make a stand. Hail. Heat. Worst crop I have ever cut on this farm. 10-15 miles north east of Welker farm. Ya, 2020 was 65 bushel barley on chickpea stubble. Here is to next year!!
Looking forward to seeing a video regarding how the X9 performs in lentils. Our X9 1100 is meant to be arriving in late October, harvest in December here in Southern Aus...the big question is how they'll go with lentils!
When we dump on the go, if we are doing 4.5mph on the combine, the cart operator sets his speed at 3.5. We slow to 3.5, that way we can speed up or slow down to fill the cart and if we hit a heavy spot the combine can handle it . That way don't have to do the speed up, slow down communication. Run 780 and a 790, 1000 bushel cart.
Good to see some bushels in the tank Mike, that X9 looks at ease munching through the barley crop. Looking forward to seeing the North farm harvest & maybe a bit of an Ashtyn/Chapel update. I get itchy just watching you doing barley. We had pull type combines behind open tractors here in S. Ontario in the 60's & 70"s. Barley was the worst for dirty and itchy... I can even smell it in my mind.... I have to go take a shower now!

Great vids , always an interesting watch
Fantastic video Mike!! Ya were ALL finished harvest here in 🇮🇪 with great yeild and moisture plus all baled!! Why don't you swrath your barley straw Mike?? Like what does 🇨🇦 farmers do for straw??

@@mikemitchell2554 The north farm is being beneficial in more ways with higher yields plus the ability to produce seed grain in times when purchasing seed grain is tough to get plus expensive.
Would you rather be unloading a little faster with the ideal and getting out multiple times a day to unplug it, or just sit in your nice John Deere cabin unload a little longer and keep running
@ Mike, Why do you bag it? Don't you have some empty bins? Or would that just be to far? Anyway I am happy to see you guys on fields, where we are able to see which parts have been harvested and which not.
I agree. My local pizza shop makes it with BBQed chicken breast, ham, cheese, tomato sauce and some seasoning. It literally blows mind. Also i like calamari pizza, but only if they are correctly fried.

How's the fuel usage average on the x9? Our 790 was up to 30gph pushing it in wheat with just a 45 foot head on it. I hope your combine is a bit more efficient 👍
How much weight / area did you cover in the 30 gallons that's surely the better way to give us a clue as to the complete performance of these machines.?
Prob like 20 23 acres an hr guessing maybe I remember fueling those fuel pig S series JD s we moved to claas run 25-30 acres an hr on 50% less fuel! Not to mention better grain retention and sample by a long shot.
Dont ever stop RUclips Mike, love following you around :)
Agree! Mike is highly entertaining!😂 I just hope he makes time for the family!😊
amen
Too fun.... When he is doing zoom woooooww
I hope he don’t quit either he’s awsome love watching him
It's really satisfying when the Harvester is cutting the barley..
So glad you got into some better crop! Looking good.
If you double tap the unload button it will stop the clean out too.
Yes, I have now figured that out, tho sometimes it still doesn't work or maybe it just doesn't like my "double tap" 😆🤷♂️

Looking forward to seeing a video regarding how the X9 performs in lentils.
Our X9 1100 is meant to be arriving in late October, harvest in December here in Southern Aus...the big question is how they'll go with lentils!
There's absolutely no crop on Mike's south farm. The north farm will test the X9 but I don't know if he has lentils seeded up there.
beautiful barley i always loved growing barley because of the beauty

In Estonia the avreage this year for barley was about 6 ton per hectaer (100 pushel per acre).
What's that, about two & a half tons per acre?
(I still like using the old imperial system) 😃🇬🇧
same here in greece with contract for amstel
We got 10 tons per hectare (150bu/ac) in Germany this year in barley
But quality wasn't that great, still very good yield

Hello Mike great videos thanks for sharing
Hye Mike Glad harvest is looking up! Shout outs from PEI buddy! Cheers
Mike, thank you for sharing, I look forward to your videos, I learn so much from your explanations.
Mike, your a great guy never down always smiling laughing happy which is good moral for your crew 👍 all the best for this years yield 🏴💪
Kinda nice to see the crop high enough to hit the header reel !!
That is an awesome combine!
You have NO IDEA how awesome it is to finally see you in some good crop! NO IDEA! 🤣
Uhhh of ALL people, I strongly suspect he has a damn good idea 🙄
Cool, Mike you do a good job!
Mike if you double tap the unload button it will shut it off right away instead of cleaning out the cross auger
Your videos are great, keep them coming.
I am glad your barley crop is turning out better. Perhaps beer will be cheaper this fall?
From Ireland I love your videos too!

Great job. You make it interesting 🧐
The power of an extra T-storm. Hope it makes malt
The ideal might be quicker at emptying but look how long it took to fill the tank we all the breakdowns that jd is a absolute beast of a machine
Mike with that high bushel count can youcompare the ideal and x9 and the other jd combines
Good sample
Is it me or the camera or does the grain sample at 11:20 look really dirty ? At 18:20 you've got cracked kernels. Is this malting or feed barley ?
1 hour 10k views! If you could only get this many every hour!🥺❤️🖖🏼🇺🇸
Can you show how your pond turned out on the north farm please

Mike what are your thoughts about running a air system since they help will thin crops

Yes

Mike, Will you take any of the south farm combines and grain carts to the north farm?
Not unless I have too
pretty sure if you double click the button to turn off/on the unload auger it shuts the whole thing off instantly
Don't you miss plugging the chopper on your Ideals ?
😆 No..
What rain difference was there between that farm and closer to main farm ?

Yes, too far would be a 4hr round trip.
Do you have a video of de-bagging the grain? Really curious about how you do that without making a tremendous mess.
He has lots of videos from around 1 1/2 years ago about this on the channel.
Found one here, it’s about halfway through. ruclips.net/video/wGqaVaImqnY/видео.html
Mine yielded close to 70 this year...and that was kinda disappointing compared to some around here
Im pretty sure if you double click the unload button it will shut off your auger instead of cleaning it out
That’s combine advisor making adjustments I’m pretty sure.
How fast are you going?
How do you haul the bags of grain?
Could the barley go for malt or is it feed?
I agree.
My local pizza shop makes it with BBQed chicken breast, ham, cheese, tomato sauce and some seasoning.
