Love that T-shirt, it is a good motto to live by. It is good to see you were getting some half-decent yields in this vid. Wishing you the best as you travel up north.
Looking forward to seeing a video regarding how the X9 performs in lentils. Our X9 1100 is meant to be arriving in late October, harvest in December here in Southern Aus...the big question is how they'll go with lentils!
Nice looking barley. Mine did about 2bu/acre. recropped in pea stubble. Spring drought, they needed reseeded to get any stand. Did make a stand. Hail. Heat. Worst crop I have ever cut on this farm. 10-15 miles north east of Welker farm. Ya, 2020 was 65 bushel barley on chickpea stubble. Here is to next year!!
Good to see the grain carts put to use this season. Finally! Hopefully you can work them hard on the final stretch. You are an amazing team and i wish you all the best and a good crop. This one and futures ones. Greetings from the north of Sweden
When we dump on the go, if we are doing 4.5mph on the combine, the cart operator sets his speed at 3.5. We slow to 3.5, that way we can speed up or slow down to fill the cart and if we hit a heavy spot the combine can handle it . That way don't have to do the speed up, slow down communication. Run 780 and a 790, 1000 bushel cart.
I get itchy just watching you doing barley. We had pull type combines behind open tractors here in S. Ontario in the 60's & 70"s. Barley was the worst for dirty and itchy... I can even smell it in my mind.... I have to go take a shower now!
Here in Germany we have bad yielding fields which are about 1 acre in size but we still get 160 bushel, summer barley was 125 bushel in very dry conditions this year
You guys not tried using machine sync, makes life so much easier for the bin drivers, particularly when its very dusty or at night when its difficult to see the back of the bin. Also if the combine has to slow down quickly the bin matches it and there is no spillages . Great vids , always an interesting watch
Fantastic video Mike!! Ya were ALL finished harvest here in 🇮🇪 with great yeild and moisture plus all baled!! Why don't you swrath your barley straw Mike?? Like what does 🇨🇦 farmers do for straw??
Would you rather be unloading a little faster with the ideal and getting out multiple times a day to unplug it, or just sit in your nice John Deere cabin unload a little longer and keep running
Mike, I see lots of farm land around yall that you pass on the road etc etc....but I never really see pass other tractors or tractors in fields....would love to hear more about whats around you and who farms all that other land
Good to see some bushels in the tank Mike, that X9 looks at ease munching through the barley crop. Looking forward to seeing the North farm harvest & maybe a bit of an Ashtyn/Chapel update. The mood is naturally very sombre here in the UK with the passing of our Queen, so I will thank you for this video, its helped brighten my day, long live King Charles III, God bless you all. 🇬🇧
Think you’ll find business is as usual in the UK, no one is sombre except the media milking it for all its worth as per usual about anything. I’m british and a military vet and don’t really care much for royalty billionaire queen, especially ones that don’t care for others.

Great video as ever mike ! Make a few buds with that lovley barley ! We make carling larger ect here in the UK 🇬🇧 .my uncles farm was barley wheat 🌾 oil seed rape!there was a ford stiger that appeard one time I went what a beast mike lol 😂 😲😲😲😲
@ Mike, Why do you bag it? Don't you have some empty bins? Or would that just be to far? Anyway I am happy to see you guys on fields, where we are able to see which parts have been harvested and which not.
Just wanna question something Mike.. I do believe u mentioned a couple years back in on of you vids… growing feed barley was a waste of time because you lost money on growing it… jw why u opted to it this year? Thanks! Great content! Keep farming!
Is the other X9 you have on the North Farm a 1000, or a 1100? Not knocking the 1000 by no means, but the 1100 is supposed to have a little bit faster unload rate, but it also will hold a little more bushels in the tank. I'm sure you already know that though. Have a blessed day, and I'm looking forward to seeing the videos from the North Farm.
@@mikemitchell2554 The north farm is being beneficial in more ways with higher yields plus the ability to produce seed grain in times when purchasing seed grain is tough to get plus expensive.
Dont ever stop RUclips Mike, love following you around :)
Agree! Mike is highly entertaining!😂 I just hope he makes time for the family!😊
amen
Too fun.... When he is doing zoom woooooww
I hope he don’t quit either he’s awsome love watching him
It's really satisfying when the Harvester is cutting the barley..
I'm from Germany. And for us this is one of the sadest field, i have ever seen. I can't believe what a difference.🤔🤧
So glad you got into some better crop! Looking good.
Love that T-shirt, it is a good motto to live by. It is good to see you were getting some half-decent yields in this vid. Wishing you the best as you travel up north.
If you double tap the unload button it will stop the clean out too.
Yes, I have now figured that out, tho sometimes it still doesn't work or maybe it just doesn't like my "double tap" 😆🤷♂️
@@mikemitchell2554 Gotta tap it harder! Because modern technology doesn't work without a little brute force xD
Just mesmerizing.

Our X9 1100 is meant to be arriving in late October, harvest in December here in Southern Aus...the big question is how they'll go with lentils!
There's absolutely no crop on Mike's south farm. The north farm will test the X9 but I don't know if he has lentils seeded up there.
I’m currently in the tractor and when your autosteer disengaged noise beeped I freaked out and thought it was mine 😂😂
Yes I love watching you do this stuff it’s awesome 😁
So good to see a full header and the grain flowing in again!!

beautiful barley i always loved growing barley because of the beauty
I am glad your barley crop is turning out better. Perhaps beer will be cheaper this fall?
Congrats on a good barley harvest on the new field
Kinda nice to see the crop high enough to hit the header reel !!
U guys deserve the good crop. Keep making these videos if you can, they're great. And also tuna pizzas are great you should try it some time
9 X is doing a great job... excellent sample.
Proud of y'all 😀
That was a legendary offload on camera, full tailings and de rated tractor.
Handled it all like a champ 😎
Hye Mike Glad harvest is looking up! Shout outs from PEI buddy! Cheers
Looks a splendid sample
You have NO IDEA how awesome it is to finally see you in some good crop! NO IDEA! 🤣
Uhhh of ALL people, I strongly suspect he has a damn good idea 🙄
Dude, I love the lines in the field. Kicked my mushroom gummies in! 🎉
I love the “Basket Baby!
From Ireland I love your videos too!
Tuna pizza sounds like reason enough to fire someone. Yikes.
I've definitely seen guys get fired for less, yup
Fired, drawn, and quartered!
That is an awesome combine!
Hello Mike great videos thanks for sharing
I am happy for you with the better crop and the combines are all running great.
Cool, Mike you do a good job!

Mike if you double tap the unload button it will shut it off right away instead of cleaning out the cross auger
Looks like the "Grass Hopper Yield" is more to your liking
Mike it's your fault I am having pizza for supper lol.
Good sample
That Barley looks extremely itchy. If anyone worked with Barley you know what I’m talking about.
clean crop, that barley looks good
In Estonia the avreage this year for barley was about 6 ton per hectaer (100 pushel per acre).
What's that, about two & a half tons per acre?
(I still like using the old imperial system) 😃🇬🇧
same here in greece with contract for amstel
We got 10 tons per hectare (150bu/ac) in Germany this year in barley
But quality wasn't that great, still very good yield
@@marvinecksteincool barley fortuna? my best with this was 8,8 ton per hectare

Hi Mike I saw a video on a spider wintch for hooking up your header and header cart by your self no hands needed awesome product
Believe it or not, I'm with ya on the the bbq chicken 😋 👍
The power of an extra T-storm. Hope it makes malt

Very good video. Glad to see you got a crop
Can you show how your pond turned out on the north farm please
Have a great harvest season and God god bless your family
Can we have a video update on the trees planted over a year ago ......
The ideal might be quicker at emptying but look how long it took to fill the tank we all the breakdowns that jd is a absolute beast of a machine

Yes, too far would be a 4hr round trip.
Sure enjoy watching the X9 eat through some decent stuff.
Don't you miss plugging the chopper on your Ideals ?
😆 No..
The Auger stops when you dubbel tab
just found out i share a birthday with you mike!

Rotation and high saline ground, barley does the best to recover it
Never heard of a tuna pizza 🍕🤣🤣
Im pretty sure if you double click the unload button it will shut off your auger instead of cleaning it out
That’s combine advisor making adjustments I’m pretty sure.
I was going to be pretty disappointed if there wasn’t any Pepperoni and PINEAPPLE 🍍! 😏❤️🖖🏼
Blecch...Mike you need to come to Chicago so you can attain pizza enlightenment!
Do you have a video of de-bagging the grain? Really curious about how you do that without making a tremendous mess.
He has lots of videos from around 1 1/2 years ago about this on the channel.
Found one here, it’s about halfway through. ruclips.net/video/wGqaVaImqnY/видео.html

Tuna pizza is great.
So you have New John Deere equipment for the bagger?? Should start in the winter now? Do tell please.
Mike with that high bushel count can youcompare the ideal and x9 and the other jd combines
Mike, Will you take any of the south farm combines and grain carts to the north farm?
Not unless I have too
bbq chicken pizza is really good
Was this barley seeded from the crop you grew up north last year?
Yes
@@mikemitchell2554 The north farm is being beneficial in more ways with higher yields plus the ability to produce seed grain in times when purchasing seed grain is tough to get plus expensive.

If you double tap the unload button it shuts off immediately and skips the clean out
You said if you were in an Ideal you would be done …. Not if you were broke down!😂
Mike what are your thoughts about running a air system since they help will thin crops
pretty sure if you double click the button to turn off/on the unload auger it shuts the whole thing off instantly
When you got to the north farm mike is it just gonna be you or will there be someone to drive trucks
