Yeah right, keep living in your pretend world. They’re “neighbors” right up until the second they have the opportunity to bid land away from someone else.
I tell you guys one thing about Mike he has good values , he respects his parents and his in laws . Gotta love a guy with those values . “ Honour your father and mother “ 👊🏼respect
Good to see some Red combine s out there in the field. Hate to say this but Red machines cut so better samples than any combine out there. Own JD combines but the Red machine just cuts so much better and easier to work on!! Just saying. Hope y’all have a great harvest and be safe!! From La. USA!!
When the video opened, the "view" through the windshield is a classic, then clipping along the road, and your voice explains the moisture of different cereals for storage. That my friend is a very satisfying view. I have some of the same memories. Thanks so much for the time you take to do this extra work during your day.
Cool to see Ron make a cameo appearance. Once harvest is done and with the Canada / US border now easier to cross a trip south to see a few fellow You Tubers may be a different type of brief holiday and change of pace. Shop talk could take place with the Brown & Fast families as new shop construction is in the works for those farms.
At 12:30 in the video the grain in the hopper looks pretty good to me. I have a limited background in agriculture but it's one of the cleanest I've seen!
Never fear, Chapel will be running combines and tractors without ever going to the field. He will be running them from his smarter phone while at school.
Hopefully you and the family can take time for a Thanksgiving meal even if it is in the field. The forecast for this weekend looks nice so equipment will definitely be running in west central Saskatchewan. Cool in the mornings but warms up through out the day. Actually had to scrap frost off the windshield yesterday
@@jackbannock3458 In the Lloydminster area there are various canola crops waiting to be straight combined that unfortunately just haven't completely rippened. Lots of bales to be picked up as cattle farmers certainly have more product available this year compared to last year.
Mike you showed us the grain sample in the tank on the John Deere if you're in-laws help you thrash it would be great to compare grain samples between the deer and the and the case
Hey mike! you recorded your video in 2160p50.... the 50 stands for the refresh rate.... i've noticed a bit of a stutter on a few of them until i decided to look at the quality settings.... the last 4 videos are running 50HZ instead of 60HZ

hey mike I was wondering if when you change crop do you get out and check lost behind the combine or u just use the pre calibration in the combine thks
I've seen a few videos where they have the swathers set up so when you harvest the cart can drive down the swath to unload the combine....how hard is that to do?
It’s slightly better straight cutting because there’s less material other than grain (moog) but the separation capacity in combines nowadays can compensate for that.
Will Chapel have the opportunity to ride around with the northern Grand Parents and if so his mind may be thinking along the line of his mother that this red equipment is cool to ride in also.
@@tobiasjacobsen_dk he wasn't racing her on purpose. Or maybe he was. I was just stating a point . No point in comparing a much smaller machine to a twin in a field unless your looking at grain samples.
Just curious, and you don't have to answer if U want to maintain privacy, but do you and Ashton and Chapel have separate living quarters when U R up at the Northern farms ?
Is a bushel still a bushel in Canada, what with the metric system and all. For all I know y’all might have a crazy name for a bushel like maybe farkenflugan or something.
Hey Mike - one thing I have learned from your channel and a few others is that farmers especially, it's neighbors helping neighbors.

I love it Mike says I’m not here to race 2 minutes later flys past the mother in law 🤣
The mother in law is also operating a 9120 which is 3 series behind cases newest combine

So awesome seeing Ron show up like that. It’s a reminder that this is in fact a small world after all!
Meals in the field are 1 of the things I miss about harvest!

happy Birthday from.Switzerland Mike!
Thankyou! 🙂
Good vid Mike. Happy and safe weekend to you, Ashtyn, and baby Chapel. God Bless
Mike you should demo a case for us. Love to hear the comparisons
Welcome to Hartung family farm. Ron's a top bloke.
Great video Mike
you are the best
Easy to stop combines for meal when Grandpa, Grandma, and Dad can visit the little one.
Family farming is a great thing.
That cab must be giant if Ron can fit in there with you. He's a big ol corn fed man.
Good morning good afternoon good evening to all welcome to hartung family farms.
You won the race!
Magnifique vidéo et les moissonneuse batteuse sont très bien équipés
Good vlog helping family. Ron from Hartung farms was a nice surprise to see! Ron had a major part in X9.
First time I have heard Mike say he nothing to do! 😀😀
Good to hear Ron has been helping you with the X9. I am sure he knows all the fixes and items still on Deere's to do list.
Good video Mike glad to see your visitor

That is a dirty sample with terrible looking wheat. Thats 100% feed wheat now and only good for chicken feed.
Ron seems like a good guy to have in your corner especially when you purchase a x9 lol!!
Happy birthday
Envious of the family atmosphere
Its about time Ron showed up to fix your issues.
Love your videos

Hi Ron, He has a good youtube too, Hartung family farms
Happy birthday mate from Australia! October 8th is a great day 😋
Run the grain through the drier and move it around It will knock the sprouts off
Mike, did you ask Ron if he was the one who designed the safety switch in the seats on your John deere combines?
swath clockwise then your auger is on the outside. can skip ends when they get short and it will be similar to going back and forth.
Morning
I don’t buy for a second, that a X9 can do what 2-9120’s would do, and I’m a bit of a JD guy.
Nice video man
Mike you showed us the grain sample in the tank on the John Deere if you're in-laws help you thrash it would be great to compare grain samples between the deer and the and the case
“I’m not going to get into a race” Mikes def in a race 😂 meant in good faith and good humour.
For real lol,
Only a couple minutes after he said this isn’t a race, he proceeds past his mother in law at ramming speed 😂😂😂 Love it!
Do you like to straight-cut, or combine swaths more? Stew sounds good for supper.
Is this the first collab ? Congrats !
Mike drive by where your picking up canola the other day your friendly neighbour Murry has come to help us finish up harvest farmers helping farmers
Could've linked the guys channel in the description brother
How come you have a picture of combine hanging from the coat hook by the back window??

Weird how long canola takes to dry up north. Down here it could rain an inch on a Monday and combining by Wednesday

I wonder how many small mammals per acre you were picking up in those swaths 😂
work fun
Nice to have a great hot meal 😋
Enjoy those kisses!👍
My renters threw out about 5 bu on their wheat which would have almost paid the rent at todays prices
What is that thing hangong from the roof on the XJ?
Mike what are you going to call Ashton and your farm?
That X9 looks really sharp in a field next to a red machine.
Why not spray and straight cut. We farm north of Wadena and straight cut all wheat. 1cwrs 13-7 protein
20:52 4point4 mins after he LEFT THE AREA you thought of 10 other things you wanted to ASK A PERSON AT JD A QUESTION ABOUT THE NEW NINER!!!! :) right??
Great video Ron is well traveled like his videos too
And Mike is faster in uploads than Ron
Awesome vid Mike! How was the stew? We always used to shut down for super also.
hey mike I was wondering if when you change crop do you get out and check lost behind the combine or u just use the pre calibration in the combine thks
how many grain trucks do you guys run on your fields?
I see how equipment has far fewer hours on the separator than the machine
Would it be considered less efficient to swath and pickup swaths? I guess I just envision a lot of loss there. I’m not familiar with any of this
Mike what happened to the S/H JD combine you had at the North Farm last year
Maybe should have raised a little memorial cairn to the being first John Deere on the property. Just funnin.
I've seen a few videos where they have the swathers set up so when you harvest the cart can drive down the swath to unload the combine....how hard is that to do?
👍👍👍
Funny rural Canadians talk like city folk in the Midwest. Down here all them have a long draw.
Mike, from Pretoria, South Africa, a question: when wheat is swathed and then combined, do not loose much of the kernels?
It’s slightly better straight cutting because there’s less material other than grain (moog) but the separation capacity in combines nowadays can compensate for that.
The X9 designer showes up
Will Chapel have the opportunity to ride around with the northern Grand Parents and if so his mind may be thinking along the line of his mother that this red equipment is cool to ride in also.
A very happy upcoming birthday Mike mines the same day the best of luck getting the rest of your crop off
Why can’t you use a reel header?
I am surprised Mike’s father in law didn’t kick him out of the field with his green machine. Most farmers are really devoted to the color of machines.
When help comes you don’t discriminate against the help’s equipment choices.
Mike,do you combine opposite the way it was cut or doesn't it matter?
Have to pick it up the way it’s cut
@@kenhofer8063 ok thanks!

Hey Mike -- What is the advantage of swathing grain versus straight cutting? There is no swathing in my area.
It drys faster . A faster process than waiting late in season to straight cut.

In Canada when you take grain to the elevator they buy and sell in metric tonnes which is 2200 lbs
so whos farm is the south farm? for some reason i thought that was your in laws? you guys sure farm a lot lol
