This was the best tutorial I found for track lights. Thanks so much! Would you have any advice on installing track lights in a room that already has recessed lights in a way that the two can be controlled separately? Meaning I can turn off/on the recessed lights independently of the track lights.
Looks great, and with a brighter bulb installed that’s all the light you need. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxWF88GpljEn-0o34vtLFazEQ5h5Q33SjU As far as ease of installation- this was my first ceiling fan and it took about 3 hours because I had no idea what I was doing and also it’s helpful to have a second set of hands and a magnetic drill bit. Works great.
Hi everyone. Thanks so much for watching my track lighting video. This was a very easy project and it really changed the way I use my garage workspace. Leave a comment below on your experience with installing track lighting. - Joey
I have a question. A broken faucet flooded through my kitchen ceiling and blew out my old light fixture, so I'm replacing it. I took the old light fixture off and put in the power feed. I'm waiting to install the rest of the track because i need to repaint my kitchen ceiling but i wanted to make sure the power feed wasn't going to shoot sparks or anything crazy, so i flipped the breaker back on and everything was fine, and then i flipped the light switch, but this immediately triggered the breaker box. I'm not sure if this is just because I only have the Power feed installed without a track connected to it, or if I i have a problem with how i installed the power feed. The only thing i had to do that was different than your video is my outlet box didn't have a ground wire so i connected the ground to a screw in the outlet box. Could that be the problem?
8:58 Literally, the only reason I came here was to see how you install those bloody things, and in that moment, your camera was off the subject. 😢 Oh well, other than that great job, thank you
Few questions for you. First can you cut down the track to a specific length? Second, do you believe the build quality is good enough for an out door patio application?
Hi Frank. Yes, you can cut the tracks down to whatever size you want. Thats what I loved about this system. It should work find outside as long as the patio is covered and not a pergola.
Joey you do a awesome job explaining everything AND putting everything in the DISCRIPTION BOX for people who want to do what you are doing fantastic
*Easy install, so far Works great **Fastly.Cool** !*
I love DIY videos that stay on point the whole time. Thank you for this GREAT video!!!
Great video. Add a paper plate or cup to the drill to catch most of the Sheetrock dust. :)
I need to do this in my garage. Thanks for having a supply list in the description.
I wasn't sure if the track could be cut. You explained that well so now I can use this product for your room. Thanks.
i just wanna say thank you i “broke” a track light and my bf was spazing on me and this video helped me fix it
Very detailed and friendly video.
Thanks so much for watching.

Thank you thank you so much for showing me what to do
I'm replacing an old track lighting but I don't have a ground wire coming out of the ceiling?
You have an older house. Just connect the ground wire to one of the metal screws on the metal box and you should be fine.
@@DIYProjectGuysThanks. IT WORKED!!!
You're the man! Thanks for posting
Excellent video! Thanks!!
Glad you liked it! I thought the track lighting was easy to work with and installed really nicely. Thanks so much for watching.
So what if you wanted the light to go the other direction? Ie rotate 90* this is the problem I’m running into.
Who is this handsome guy doing this video? He should have a star on Hollywood Blvd!
Nice video!! Thanks - very helpful!
