Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.

I’m not particularly interested in prospecting myself, but Chris’s videos genuinely make me happy. Thanks buddy.
I'm in the US...in Florida, where the only gold in the ground, was dropped by some unlucky soul, so, it's my dream to be able to do this one day!😉 Chris, Fern, Gadzee and Mick are my therapy, and the comedy is better than watching anyone on a stage❣️🥰
@@leighanncronin6905 Doesn't say much for today's stand up comedians then. :-(
Same
Sometimes I think finding a specimen is more exciting than just straight gold. But these were all awesome finds!
You killed me with that "between 2 ferns" comment. Brilliant
You and Cadzee and Mick get on great together and your narrative always teaches would be prospectors and when you talk with them the conversation is nuts. You always do describe what you are doing. Keep on making your funny yet interesting videos
Thanks for all your videos man, your personality is awesome and when Gadzee is there makes it even better. Gotta love having a good friend to share your hobbies with. I just got into the hobby a few years ago, my grandpa used to take me with him when I was a kid to go rockhounding and to all the local gem shows and shops. He even won a quarts hunting competition in the 80s, paid for the whole trip for everyone and still had a little money in his pockets when he got home.
I always love how excited you are when finding a nugget .
Turning all the rivers,
Working in the rills,
Tunnelling the mountains,
Sluicing off the hills,
Sweating in the sun, and
Shivering in the blast,
Mighty Vo-gus prospecting
Living very fast!
Love watching you and Gadzee on your adventures. Fern is a beautiful pooch!
From one sufferer to another I use detecting as my meditation but not brave enough to film it like you - good job Chris and not just on the prospecting
Me too!
Man i love seeing specimen gold when the quartz is melted out. Really nice take you found there. I wish I lived somewhere with gold like that.
Another great video. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.
Wifey and I have only been chasing gold and watching Vo-Gus for 6mths, since retirement.
We blame Chris for us having some of our best times, out in the bush, away from the rat-race.
This is despite us having collected a grand total of bugger all grams so far.
Never fail to watch your channel even though I will probably never find time to try it for myself. Always good content and educational. Keep up the good work.
We are all given the same number of hours in a day, a week and a year, so it is up to each of us to spend them wisely.
Mark from Melbourne
@@markfryer9880 true Mark, but it takes a little more effort when one doesn't live in a gold producing part of the US. Got two boys in college, so money is spent on needs and not dreams right at the moment. Maybe one of these years.
You, Gadzee, and fern make your adventures look really fun, and informative.
Just realized I wasn't subscribed, give your lovely boxer some extra love for me, she's the main reason I took up panning, I lost my boxer last year and have been suffering from depression even more so with her gone. I love seeing your pup grow up throughout you videos, and it brings a smile to my face seeing my dogs personality thro fern. Boxers are truly amazing. Keep up the great videos.
Hugs to you; losing a friend just sucks. You'll get another when you are ready.
I love these videos where you teach with great patients. I've learned from watching you.
I really look forward to your videos. I have always wanted to prospect for gold but in the USA in my area there isn’t any. What a beautiful specimen can’t wait to see your next video! Cheers mate
I love your videos. I would love to try gold panning or metal detecting.
🇨🇦❤️
Your storytelling and sharing of the joy you take in your hobby has had me coming back for more, hope you two enjoyed the drink! Love that you are willing to share some of your hard work with your followers.
Love the optimism in all of your episodes.
I've never prospected, will probably never even get the chance to, but I've learned so much from your videos. I really believe if I ever found myself in a gold bearing area I could find gold and would know how to pan it out. Thanks, Kris.
Love the work you guys put into making this stuff. Always a pleasure to watch.
Love the method of melting quartz. It allows to show true character of gold speciments.
everytime i fall in love more and more with this hobby... nice looking gold and those specimens are amazing
I think you and GadZee should definitely start a podcast!!! Doesn't have to be about prospecting or gold.... Just you guys rambling on about nonsense. I think it would be good!!
YES!!
Well done once again 😃only 2 weeks to go now and I’ll be playing in the creek like you, keep bringing on the videos love watching all that you do,just wish I was there 👍😃
This would be cool
I most definitely agree! I could listen to y’all two speak all day as it is with your accents, and you’re just entertaining people! Only downfall is it would take time away from the creek..unless you do it on the creek, almost like a live stream. I can imagine that would be difficult however, regardless I support the idea of a podcast, but would understand myself as to why you wouldn’t do it.
I would absolutely listen to a podcast that you two would do! And even more so, The Further Adventures of “Yer a prospector, Harry!” 😂
I am in America and I have to tell you, that Your methods and insights are applicable inbso many ways.
Your infectious enthusiasm keeps me IN THE GAME as I oo enjoy this hobby of Ours.
Thanks, "Mate".
Another great vid, Chris. Good time with good friends. Fwiw I'd actually love to watch a bit of you and Gadzee kicking back with a few whiskeys!
it's amazing how much gold the Oldtimers tossed on the waste dump. Glad they left some for us.
Your enthusiasm is contagious and always a pleasant watch keep up the good work
What a prize! Amazing little nugget! Thanks for the opportunity Chris!
I look forward to your videos every week. Thank you for taking us on your adventures
Metal detecting and chemistry lessons. Perfect sunday morning.
Aww, to be young once again. Watching your videos bring back some good memories. Thanks Chris!
I have Lyme disease I'm home bound mostly now. Your Show brings me a lot joy . Thanks for what you guys do down under.
I appreciate your sense of humor and style and am thoroughly entertained by your take on life. Keep true to yourself and I intend to keep watching.
I would LOVE that specimen. All I find in my area is flour gold. Good luck, everyone!
Love the sharp, chunky gold, totally different from the river rounded gold. All is just so lovely!!
I love the variety in these longer videos. Amazing specimens, even if one washes their salad in a hat and the other drools a bit. Great gold too!
Those specimens are beautiful, most gold you see is so smooth.
Great shot of the pooch just sitting enjoying the sun so cute
Started watching and haven’t stopped. Pretty cathartic watching you chip away at something you love!
That specimen looks like a miniature castle on a mountaintop. Great vid, love your work.
What an amazing day and rescue!!!! You never cease to amaze!!!!
Reedy creek has been keeping gold prospectors happy for 100's of years :)
Always a good watch for those days where the miserable weather keeps you indoors!
Keep it up lads! Awesome content!!
I really like how you explain what and how you do to look for gold in different areas. Cheers from Canada.
What I do when I'm speed panning is I pan down until I see Black Sand.
Then I dump that pan into my Cons Bucket.
To make sure I am still on the Gold, I pan down to the Gold each fifth pan full.
I concentrate this way because panning Black Sand is a pain in the bum, and my Underflow makes quick work of it while capturing everything down to Micron Gold.
That's what she said 🤣 I almost choked on my food. Funny
I would love a hard rock specimen to put on the shelf at home. It would make a good conversation starter and a good way to get my daughter interested in some more outdoor activities!!
I just love those specimens you pull out of the waste piles! Probably my favorite part of your videos, and to think I might have a chance to get that gorgeous specimen is the root of this comment!
Your videos make me feel like being there side by side with you. I grew up used to 100 degrees in the summer so hot weather is normal for me. Watching your videos I learn a lot every time. Love your dog and when you get the whiskey, bottoms up Kris.
Happy new year Chris and Fern. Another fun video thanks. CJ and Flip (who loves all the scratches behind his ears!)
Chris your content alone is solid gold!!!
Thank you for the enjoyment and knowledge you videos provide.
I love hearing the banter, makes it so more interesting, oh and your knowledge around it all is awesome, awesome speci by the way
Alot of people do not know how much of a process it is dissolving the gold out. Great looking specimens! Keep up the amazing videos.
Consistent gold.... the video that is! Another great bit of entertainment Chris. It's too darn cold to hit any creeks around me. Your videos keep me going through the winter. Thank you so much.
One of the few prospecting channels left that I actually look forward to those notifications!
One day I hope to make my way to Australia and if I'm lucky enough, I hope to be able to shake back a couple of pans!
Nice one, that specimen you found is a beauty! Was probably hard to leave a hot spot like that after discovering all of those.
Nice haul!
Tell Fern(?), your cute 4 legged sidekick, the viewers said hiya! Give her a good scratch!
My chihuahua, Fancy, really watches her closely.
Definitely loving your speci hunting. These golds in their "natural habitat" are gorgeous.
Glad you got the specimens, I love the look of the gold fresh from the quartz peel. Spectacular!
Great job as usual! I've learned so much from your channels over the past year, and I don't think that's gonna stop anytime soon!
This specimen is lovely - and the others that came out of the caustic soda look really interesting too. Lovely weather but those flies look a bit bitey. Fun video 🎉
I love being able to armchair mine by watching your videos. Keep up the hard work
Your hobby has a good return on time investment Chris, thanks for all the videos you've made.
Watching and listening to your wise words is inspiring. Thanks so much for all the learning and entertainment at the same time. Xx
Fern was having a great snooze 💤. Glad she didn’t find any spicy flies!
I have been watching Vo-Gus Prospecting videos for the past few years. Lately the video have improved and are very informative. TY
Great video! I love how you put these out on a very consistent basis so that I can get excited about gold prospecting also.
your videos are always so friendly feeling, always enjoy going panning with you
Love seeing your videos, Eldy has a special place in my heart and it's so nice to watch someone who feels the same xx
Hey Chris. I like the multiple trips per video and ofc Gadsy. Thanks for sharing.
Love the longer vids mate , always an awesome watch
Nice to see those specimens !So coooool Mate !!
Thank you for showing how to check for gold and the efforts it takes to find it. Very inspirational!
Watching you and Fern really makes my day.
I'm probably not in your demographic as a micro scrapper but for some reason I'm attracted to your videos. There's precisely zero gold where I live in the UK so it's odd that I like your prospecting output so much. Keep up the good work Chris
Thank you for the entertainment! Another great video! Love the hard work fern puts into every thing!😁
Mate you mick and gadzee are the reason I started gold paning absolutely love your enthusiasm with you hobby keep it up guys
I never miss your videos. I live in New York where the only gold is in Wall Street so will never get to go panning so I really enjoy.
Heh. Look up Klesh's video on prospecting NY sidewalks....
Awesome video. Loved seeing all the specimens you pulled out.
Great fun, thank you so much for sharing!
How good does that gold look after the quartz is removed....beautiful!
I truly enjoy wanting you, Gadz and Mic going out on your adventures. The fact that your fur baby gets to go out on your adventures is a true blessing 😊. Some day I am definitely making a trip to the land down under, and being a whiskey connoissewer myself, you'll have to show me what great whiskeys Australia has to offer.
Love watching you and your mates. It's the dead of winter here in Central Alberta Canada 🇨🇦. Our Gold here is the same ,flour that was eroded by Glaciation Action and deposited in layers. Love the tweak with the Miller Table, pure genius. Cheers. Ps - 18C tonight going to - 25 next week Paulie is right for living on Vancouver Island.
First time I've seen quartz processed like this. You should do a whole show on this process! WHISKEY!~!!!
You got me through my down time after surgery for months. So thankful to you and your BFF 😉
I really do enjoy your videos and all the different techniques employed to find and extract gold. Your explanation on how and why to dig an area is really good - I'll never be able to use but very useful information, all the same.
Thanks for your amazing videos and give aways. This is my favorite prospecting/treasure hunting channel by far. Shout out to all the great pups out there and Fernie!
Beautiful pieces when you dissolve the quartz. Just found your channel and I am enjoying it. Thanks for the effort you put into creating these.
Great video Chris I enjoyed it a lot. You and Fern and family stay safe.
Awesome vid mate. As always. Got my fingers crossed for the specimen.
Cool. Glad to see you’re having a good time
Another great video Chris, thanks for all your hard work!
Always a joy to watch. Quite the specimen haul this go round! Amazing.
Loving the change in how you have been doing videos lately. Having a range of different ways to prospect in the one video is aweome
That is an amazing gold specimen Chris. Good work.
Congratulations Lisa, you've won the gold specimen!
Your name will be announced in the next video. Please contact me via my email vogusgold@gmail.com so that we can organise shipping to you.
Your videos are great.
They show how hard finding good gold is.
Love all you do.
Long hard winter coming up here. I will be watching all the vids you do
Good luck
That was a great old mine dump. I think I would be spending some more time there for sure. Take care.
