Hi Vo-Gus , The thing that your friend found at 13.29 is a part of an old umbrella . I do metal detecting in France , and also searching gold in french's rivers .
Oh hell yeah! Also to be said - appreciating these longer videos. Good to leave on while watching and listening across the table while drinking coffee, or getting smothered by the doggo I'm dogsitting at the moment.
Almost 2 am here in Colorado and my son and I are in his parade for his elementary school in less than6 hours so I hade to save it to watch later. Definitely hit the like before I closed.
I wanted to let you know I appreciate your hard work prospecting, but also all the hard work your putting into the way you share your adventures. Personally videos like this one while are perfection in my opinion. That said I enjoy all of your content and simply wanted to say THANK YOU CHRIS.
Old rivets (for leather and heavy canvas) are the boon and bane of any relic hunter. They are good indicators you are in a spot at least 100+ years old, but they sound SO GOOD and then just let you down.
I love you bro pioneer pauly and Dan hurd got me into prospecting shortly after I found you I'm tatted up and I love geology panning gold and finding treasures is in my blood it just goes to show never judge a book by its cover, I'm new to the community but I'd love to come out and do a video with you panning and some metal detecting I have another youtube called Cody's Prospecting well as always perfect content amazing video brother keep em coming always love seeing gold never gets old
The tiny round metal item is a collar stud. For fastening a seperate white collar to the shirt. Not average miners gear. Implies they had a long term camp there.
Leather rivet and the buckles are from horse/mule tack. I.E. someone was packing their gear in on a mule. The reason I say pack mule as opposed to horse or burro is a mule can carry a lot more than either and that's not riding horse country. So pack buckles it is. Plus I run pack strings into the ochoco here in Oregon and I usually make my own tack.
Love your products. Ive built a clean up sluice with your mats and I can run a lot of dirt down it and never worry about ever losing anything. And I don't have to run it anymore than once
I have a helpful suggestion for you😊 Use a1/8 classifier.. Everything that stays in the sieve, tip it out on a flat spot, spread it thin (1"... - 2" max) Then simply run the detector over it. I do this with a gold monster.. can't miss even the tiniest bits.. takes all of a couple minutes, if.. And the pan full of minus ⅛ dirt is easy to pan quickly and small enough to get the flour gold without further classifying.🎉⛏️💎 Efficient es bro!
Very informative video all the different types of ways to harvest and process gold great job Chris your dog is a hoot on the flip side your detecting will tell you a complete story of who and what kind of miners were living there ⛏⛏⛏⛏great job can’t wait for your next adventure take care Vogus you are a great teacher of gold prospecting thanks much Jeff 👍👍😎😎⛏⛏⛏Out for Now
Good stuff guys and always enjoy the added humor but mostly picking up hints and pointers . Yet to get out and experience this myself but it sure looks like a lot of fun 😁
Wow! Great video Chris. I've been wondering about the fluid bed sluice and if you guys still used them at all. Good to see you having fun. Thank you for sharing your adventures. Cheers 🍻
NYC Queens Hello Sunshine. Awesome adventures. The best Gold find, Beware of the shovel doggers. Much love always to the Team. Please stay safe and God bless
This channel has offered up so many little tricks, tips and general actionable information for my own personal journey in the hunt. There’s a bit of conversion we must make taking the information given for the locale these gents are in and apply them for the locale I am in. It’s worked out so well and I have been able to apply many of the little juicy nuggets of info over the past two years scouring they vids and continuing to learn and apply as stated above. I’m in the western Mohave just on the backside of the Sierras. Thanks for all the great info. You don’t know just how much you have benefitted others sharing your awesome practical real info.
Great video! Hope you and Miss Fern are having a fine afternoon. I officially told Summer to bugger off and go to the Southern Hemisphere. Keep your eyes peeled, she is headed your way.
You are totally correct tattoos are self expression and if people don't like them that's their personal problem some of the work you have is pretty cool 👍🤓
That’s a great couple days out prospecting I enjoyed that combined episode a lot. Good to see your friends as well YO gad zee and mick👊🏼 after all this time watching your channel and seeing what gold is worth in Australian dollars I’ve decided to send you all my gold to sell…. Son of a… as I’m typing this after a 14 hour work day I’m realizing that once I convert it back to USD all I’ve done is wasted time 😳😬 thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼
Not finished and already a great video and trip! Yes nothing wrong with Ink at all. All up to the person and what they want in life. Great relic hunting too! One day you're going to find that 5 ouncer mate!!!!
I love rock crushing videos. I know that they don’t get the views that others do but it’s the surprise factor. I have been crushing rocks found around a old stamp mill during the first gold rush in America before the 49s hit it in Cali. I am just waiting for the rock with a couple of ounces gold. Great ink slinging .
If i were u, i would connect a flexible conduit on that shopvac rock crusher air output and let it bubble at the bottom of a bucket of water to keep the dust in water and then u can pan that out to see if u get any gold out of that dust. Very very nice vid! Loved it!
Did find using a coarse sieve helped in breaking up the clay though not seen any use of one in the video's I've watched. Handy for use in the garden too when making potting soil from the compost heaps I have around the garden.
Love the vids mate. It's the reason I've started getting into gold prospecting myself. Not many places around me to look though. Helps get me out of the house too which is good for the soul. Looking forward to seeing the next one.
@@VoGusProspecting 100%. Even my kids are showing interest. Might head down to Kangaroo Valley in another week or so. Mineralogy maps seem to suggest pockets around the rivers and the vast majority is crown land. Bathurst and Orange also seems worth looking at.
Woo hoo picker days! Man that last creek looked really good for sniping, hope you get a chance to give it another try. Loving these longer vids, thanks vogus
Me and my family were out cruising the desert trails today. I found a wash with black sand deposits and if course I had to grab some and take it home lol. Next weekend I'm going out to orogrande nm coz I can finally make it past the wash that cuts off the major part of the claims, the parking area was all I could get to in the corolla but now I have my xj
That round thing with the slots in it you found has something to do with sewing. I can't remember exactly but green mountain metal detecting found some and knows what it is.
I’m relatively new to gold hunting, my great grandfather passed away of recent and found some old locations from the 30s-50s of places on the Umpqua river!
Your doing better the more you learn and the more effective you prospect Chris. On the gold in clay debate I do a lot of sniping and have found most gold sits on the clay except for the proper nuggets over a gram or 2 especially if they are rounded and thick. I have found quite a few good ones scratching up spots that seem finished
In the American southwest, there are layers of red clay buried under caliche conglomerate, that's absolutely loaded with gold, silver, and other valuable elementa
Awesome video here Chris. And that was cool that you was finding small gold nuggets. Even more awesome that you are smelting now which is still awesome in it's own. Very nice job 👍
This was definitely a great video with some crazy gold! Still waiting for the small blue pan that has the snakeskin riffles so I can process my paydirt from you and Klesh. 🤣🤣🤣
Hey mate, most of us understand the "where to look" but I'm having trouble understanding the how gold migrates, an example would be that creek you say was flooded and then you found the nuggets, would they have stayed in that spot in the event it floods again and is it just luck in some fashion to find shedding gold like that?
I learned to pan with a 60 year-old metal pan. I still have it and it is now 108 years old. The first plastic pan I used was a Garrett. I thought it was different and maybe a little more forgiving of sloppy panning but is it better? The jury is still out on that one. I labeled them both good and even interchangeable. I'm not going to say that you, Mick, and Gadzee had good luck because your luck is just starting to go supernova. Just watch
Nice video man. It had a nice variety of stuff. I guessed 1.2g so super close! what is the red rope around your dolly pot for? Is it to reduce the ringing or something?
Definitely love your videos I think you're the best on RUclips you're very informative you teach people you get excited when you find gold you keep me laughing you and Mr sweatpants together our total crack up love it keep up the good work sir 👍👍🤓😎
This channel is a perfect balance of educational and entertaining
And relaxing.
Thanks mate, I try to capture the complete chaos that happens on the creek in a constructive way haha
