Join Vu, Manny, Rob, and Damon on this extended cut of the Porsche Club Insider Podcast. We cover all we did from Tuesday through Sunday. From the Classic Motorsports Magazine Monterey Kick Off to the inaugural Laguna Seca Hillclimb. In between there was a lot of stories, people we met, things we learned and cars we drove. Plus, the usual update on Porsche news, upcoming PCA National events and recent videos we released. Listen to it in one sitting or break it up into parts. Either way, you will enjoy this episode.

I lived for ten years on the Monterey peninsula and the money that car week brings in is vast, but the average citizen sees the week as something to be endured and as the number of events and attendees have grown, (87,000 for the latest edition), so has the resentment. It would be wise for the organizers to began to think of ways to lessen the impact on the infrastructure there.
This is correct. I also live on the Peninsula and am a Car Week participant. But in recent years Carmel has become a target for people behaving badly. Drag racing, donuts, running stop signs, etc. There were 10 arrests this year including physical altercations between police and the perpetrators. Not cool.

Nice 🎉
Thank you 🙌
I think In-n-Out fries are the least tasty of pretty much any fry I’ve had. I can only eat them animal style.
Thank you!
I knew it wasn't just us... Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the coverage of Monterey. Couldn’t make it this year.
You guys have great chemistry on air. It’s one of my favorite podcasts/RUclips episodes! Thanks. 👍
Thanks for the support!
LP's and "Extended Remixes" are not the same thing...
In-N-Out Fries, Animal Style, Extra Crispy, mixed with a Flying Dutchman, whole new ball game.
Agreed, best way to have their fries! Be sure to subscribe.
@@PorscheClubofAmerica Already subscribed and love all your videos!! Hopefully can join the family soon with my own Porsche!
Appreciate you responding to my question. Some great cars. Love the broadcast!
Our pleasure!
Thanx! Really enjoyed the discussions.
Thanks Sam!
RUclipsrs portrayed Monterey as a police state. Endless ticketing, several arrests, and constant harassment from local residents. I've never been there. I'm just saying, RUclipsrs make it look borderline dangerous :(
At least where we went, people were pretty cool. We saw police pulling people over but it was usually a run of the mill suv or minivan. Maybe it’s because we didn’t attend events where the d bags were causing trouble. I can emphasize with the locals. I’d be upset too if people were behaving badly.
We've always had an amazing experience in Monterey. Is it crowded, absolutely. But everywhere you go is like an impromptu car show. Definitely a bucket list week for any car enthusiasts. Be sure to subscribe.
