    As a proud Maori and a long time subscriber, id like to give a big Thank You to you both for allowing the world to experience our culture, reading trough the comments i seen alot of people from different contries and cultures that enjoyed seeing our culture and it almost brought a tear to my tear, so again id like to thank Taku and Joclyn for sharing our cultre to the world

    I may be biased cause i'm Maori but that was by far my favourite episode from Outdoor Chef Life of all time! Thank you for some wholesome content that takes our appreciation for fish, fishing and the Moana [ocean] to a much deeper level and also for showcasing our people, our culture and our wider community that there is hope for humanity!
    My favourite line at the very end of the episode from one of the bro's with some classic subtle Maori humour 'Tena Koutou, Tena Koutou... now take a photo' 😂😂😂

    It’s a marvelous thing that those communities keep their traditions alive and well. I’m Filipino and Puerto Rican and both cultures revere their fish heads. Nothing on a harvested animal is left for waste. We really need more of this in the US.

      I visited Aotearoa this year and I will never forget how beautiful it is. Unfortunately I didn't get to see many Maori people because I spent most of my time in the South Island. I will come back at some point for sure

    As a Native American it makes me happy to see other Indigenous peoples around the world getting to practice their culture and traditions, New Zealand although not perfect with their dealings with the Māori in the past have done right in the past 30 years, the Māori are strong people.

    According to research, hunter/gatherers spent 14 hours per week hunting and gathering. The free time was spent celebrating. The epitome of civilization.

      ​@@bananarama6808i think youre confusing average age of death which back then was lower due to increased infant mortality versus the median age of adult mortality. The idea that every single human died before 34 is silly.

    my favorite episode, as someone who lived in Aoteroa I can say that this has been the most rewarding sight into a place that fosters people so kindly and respectfully.     Well it's quite good part of it. Fish head curry is really nostalgic for me. It makes me remember my culture cause it's one of the main delicacies that popular at my hometown. One of a good part for a fish.

    It’s incredible that so many people around the world are starving , malnourished and yet we waiste so much food what a great solution to not waisting the byproducts of fish to feed so many such a simple solution.
