- I made this video in honour of my first time meeting U2. I was lucky enough to meet Larry, Bono and The Edge, members of U2 on July 28th, 2017 in Amsterdam. Meeting Larry wasn’t quite a real meeting as he got out of his car and walked into the hotel. However I ended up exchanging a few words with Bono who sent a message to the Hungarian (and I presume also all East European) U2 fans through me. I managed to get The Edge’s autograph on a €20 bill as, despite carrying with me The Joshua Tree vinyl from Budapest to Amsterdam, I managed to forget it in the hotel room. This short meeting was also an opportunity for me to learn about the key points of a successful meeting with U2 which will allow me to be better prepared for the next time! Details in the video! I'm so happy about you man, I hope that in a future I will be able to make same video as yours :D I was in Berlin at TJT2017 concert and it was mindblowing experience for me, shake hand with Bono and The Edge is a thing totally from another world :D

Very cool. I saw them in concert in Detroit on September 3rd. Might be the last time ... my first was the indoor Zoo TV tour, Auburn Hills, 1992 or 1993.

Happy for you!!!😁 Great to watch this and although I envy you😉 (a little bit) I'm touched to see somebody travelling that far to meet them. A "true" fan... I respect that and it's always nice to see these meetings. Not everybody has the money or the means to follow them so closely. It was my first concert and had waited for it since 1983... it was the greatest night of my life.😍 But it was 28 JULY... your meeting... that was the date the Blackout video was taped at the "Westergasfabriek". Or mayby even the 27th of July. It was a Thursday. The JT Anniversary concert 29 (Saturday) and 30 July (Sunday) 2017 in Amsterdam. Guess you followed a lot of their tour(s) so just like forgetting your album you probably mixed up dates.😉 This is NOT to criticize!!!!!!😲 But I guess you want to celebrate your first meeting on the "right" day every year🤗🤗 and how happy and cheerful The Edge was that night😃😃. Bono seemed a bit tired... Thank you for uploading and making such a respectful little movie of it😊
Hello Lafayette! Thank you for your kind words! Yes, you are right! This nigt wahs on 28 July and not August. That was my typing mistake and I already corrected the video description. And also you are right: there was a double concert in Amsterdam that time as in many other cities during the JT2017 tour: on 29 and 30 July. But we arrived on 28 July, one day before the first concert, where we bought our tickets. And this night we found them in the city center. That was the day of capturing 'Blackout', I clearly remember. Next day we enjoyed the concert, that was great. I watched U2 on this tour in 3 different places: Berlin, Dublin and Amsterdam and never forget these moments.

JT on 30 July and the U2ei 2018... really hope that will be another tour in the future and I was happily surprised to see people from all over Europe at their concerts!!!😊 gave me a "ONE" feeling!!! Hope they'll do a greatest hits world tour once!!! Wish you the best!!😊
