Fixed blades are the outside working mans/farmer's companion. I was an engineer building large power transformers for ten years, mechanic through high school and college few years after, now farming where I cut my teeth on hard work as a child, my dad gave me my first blade at age 5, and I've been in love ever since, through all careers a goos knife has been a must.
My wife just exclaimed “not another knife!” - thereby elevating the Swiss Tech to my “must buy” list. Great review - you stand out in a field crowded with knife review.
I own two of every Swiss Tech “Walmart” knife. They are PHENOMENAL VALUES and are exceptionally well made and durable. These are the real deal. I just ordered this new one thanks to your video.
Never heard of Swiss Tech. I'm a buck knife and leather sheath fan for fixed blades. I have to disagree with the notion that being real sharp(shaving sharp) is not essential on a so-called bushcraft knife. The number one necessity for ANY real knife is sharpness, because knifes are NOT hatchets.
It’s D2 steel. It will take an edge that is very sharp. How sharp is a function of the sharpening skill of the owner with everything but absolute junk steel.
Swiss tech has been around awhile, surprised you haven't heard of them. They are usually right next to buck knives in any shop or selection. They get sharp as hell, but you have to do it yourself on the cheaper ones, as they sell them in places like Walmart and stores where a lawsuit is a real concern. Get one, they are fairly cheap, very useful for many things.
I have a Swiss Tech folder , great knife , good steel , well made . I think the Bushcrafter is on my want list , looks like great camp / hunting option
I am a BUCK knife guy & I rarely buy folders (but I do have a few) , this looks like it might find a new home in my collection. I just need to keep an eye out for it. Tanx for showing it
No knife ever produced is as good as a old #119. I need a new leather case , we got a new heeler pup and he chewed the hell out of it ,all I can find on Amazon is the nylon garbage . I did see a diy kytex case kit might try that
The bowie knife we know of as a bowie today is most likely NOT what Jim bowie used that day. Any large knife I'm the old west became a Jim bowie until one was held above others. All knives then were made by a small black Smith, only one made, and we never will know what Jim bowie had in his hand that day.
@bobcollie8990 I know what you said brother. All I said is Jim bowie wouldn't know it as a bowie knife, nor was it even the sane style as the one we know as a Jim bowie knife, it woukd have looked more in line with a large bushcraft knife on steriods , then what we today thunk of as a bowie knife.
He fought alongside an ancestor of mine, William Barrett Travis, who in his famous last words according to family lore asked, "where did all these landscapers come from?"
Curious what the heat treat is, that BPS knife is 56-57hrc. As a camp knife, it doesn't have to be so hard its brittle, as long as it can put in work for $40.
I picked up several of the Swiss Tech knives, and they're legit good. I replaced my SAK Classic SD with the Listig and haven’t changed back. Will keep an eye out for this one.
Had the Stahlern in AUS8. After re-sharpening to an 18° angle I was able to get about 10 cuts on sisal rope then dull. Very soft steel. Hopefully this one D2 will have a better heat treat and be stronger.
Nice looking blade. Haven't found one locally but did find a stash of the flashlights in case. Unfortunately, they disappeared before I could go get another one.
Been looking for just such a knife, but due to various major medical problems, can not afford anything as yet...Even one as low-cost as this one. The thickness of the blade, handle material and overall ruggedness makes this knife a real stand-out, especially at this price point.
I like Swiss tech when the pocket knife (and a lot others) was dropped at Walmart last fall love my pocket knife with the disc thumb stud and I still want the matching fix blade

Hi Beez, the fixed blade looks nice. Oh, by the way, the 1066 is the steel used on the BPS knife 🔪, I have one that I am going to patina to help keep away rust
Thanks for doing this review. I'm new to your channel. I've been bushcrafting since the mid 80s, and I flintknap, so I don't always use "modern" knives, but I do use them quite a bit, specifically for bushcrafting I especially like low-cost surprises, like the Gerber Bear Grylls knife and a couple of different Ontario Knives options. I carry a Gerber 600 folder that I've carried all over the planet since 1991. I also still carry my Kabar, even though I ABSOLUTELY HATE the rat tail tang.
I already follow Swiss Tech after seeing they took over the SOG Baton. I’ve been curious how their knives are since they are technically Walmart knives.

Looks like a good and nice knife right there, by the way that'll has to do with the feeling it bears to the touch, it's from the Spanish word "tacto" Wich is described like the explanation I made.

Good looking knife!
That’s surprisingly nice

I'm a buck man as well, also Schrade, Case, and Gerber. The Swiss Tech is not a bad know from what I have seen at shows.
Tactile- "Tac-Tile" coating is a black rust prevention coating applied to many knives and some other weapons & tools.
That liner really makes that knife shine - I love it.
Wow Swiss tech is really stepping it up. Thanks for showing it.
I've carried one of the SwissTech Wurdig folding knife for about 10 months now - great value and has held up well.

I want one. I’ve already got their last fixed blade and love it.
I like the look of these Swiss Tech knives. I handled one of their flippers and it was very smooth.
Very impressed with the SwissTech knives! I've got a couple of their folders, and they are very good for the price. Picking this one up right now!
I have a Swiss Tech folder , great knife , good steel , well made . I think the Bushcrafter is on my want list , looks like great camp / hunting option

The Bowie knife is commemorating its namesake, Jim Bowie, who died in the Battle of the Alamo fighting for Texas independence from Mexico in 1836.
The bowie knife we know of as a bowie today is most likely NOT what Jim bowie used that day. Any large knife I'm the old west became a Jim bowie until one was held above others. never said it was same knife. It’s a commemorative knife. They used to sell them in the gift shop at the Alamo.

Texas independence from Mexico. LOL.
Thank you for the GAW opportunity. And thanks for comparing the merch.
Curious what the heat treat is, that BPS knife is 56-57hrc. As a camp knife, it doesn't have to be so hard its brittle, as long as it can put in work for $40.
I’ve bought some Swiss Tech products and they are very good quality
That is a really nice fixed blade with a lot of features for the price! Thanks for reviewing it!
Swiss Tech makes great knives. I have two already!
I picked up several of the Swiss Tech knives, and they're legit good. I replaced my SAK Classic SD with the Listig and haven’t changed back.
Will keep an eye out for this one.
I’ve been eyeing the Swiss tech line at Walmart might stop by there soon now after seeing this!
Its like the esee 4 and 5 had a baby. I like that the finger choil doesnt go way out in the blade.
Had the Stahlern in AUS8. After re-sharpening to an 18° angle I was able to get about 10 cuts on sisal rope then dull. Very soft steel. Hopefully this one D2 will have a better heat treat and be stronger.
Thanks for the heads' up. I have only used mine for camp food prep so far as my Gerber Strongarm and KaBar Mk. 1 do most of my camp work.
Bought the Swisstech folder last fall, great economy pocket knife
I got 2 different Swiss tech knives for my son, and he loves em. Decent for what they are. Very sturdy.
Boy I sure would like that Swiss Tech knife.
Not a bad looking fixed blade and I have to agree with you beez red and black always look good together
Nice looking blade. Haven't found one locally but did find a stash of the flashlights in case. Unfortunately, they disappeared before I could go get another one.
Polymer Sheath a looks like a nice knife. Swiss Tech makes Quality on a Budget!
Love swiss tech I own a few of there knifes very satisfied with them
Been looking for just such a knife, but due to various major medical problems, can not afford anything as yet...Even one as low-cost as this one. The thickness of the blade, handle material and overall ruggedness makes this knife a real stand-out, especially at this price point.
Enjoying my swim listig, was hoping to add to the collection., this knife would make a great addition.
I have the gerundet folder and I love it, it’s my most carried now, I would love to have a fixed to go with it
Tactile is the feeling of the handle in your hand the little grooves speckled dotted handle provides a tactile grip
I'm going to check one out, seems like a lot of knife for the money. I can even afford to put one in both of my vehicles and hiking gear.
My favorite part was the fire starting sound effect. 😂
Just got my Kraftig! Feels amazing in the hand! This blade will be with me at all times on the farm
i like/use/prefer fixed blades but i always have a folder in front right pocket ;-)
Very exciting New brand that’s not just knifes. They have some other very cool gear out and I hear more coming.
Thanks for the opportunity Beez!
I like Swiss tech when the pocket knife (and a lot others) was dropped at Walmart last fall love my pocket knife with the disc thumb stud and I still want the matching fix blade
Thank you for the opportunity!
Tactical grip, used to give better handling to reduce slippage when wet hands/knife handle...🤠
Their little flipper models are smooth as glass
Hope to see Swiss Tech get better and better. Thanks for showcasing Beez!
It's Black Parkerizing. Eliminates the reflection of light off polished steel. Excellent for use on carbon steel blades to prevent rust. That's all it is. Now as to the knife, it looks good. But only a torture test will determine if it is worthy of being called a Bush/Survival knife.
I have several ST knives... love them
I've seen the swisstech at Walmart but I haven't seen this beast! Nice !!
Looks like a great night. I really like the Swiss Tech knives.
Hello 👋 my friend, thank you for sharing this informative video. I wìll be going Walmart tomorrow morning and check it out. Stay safe out there. 😊
We have a couple of their flashlights, but this could be a next new purchase of Swiss Tech to try out!
Swiss tech makes great knives
I own a Swiss Tech pocket knife that I carry every day and the larger fixed blade knife for backpacking
Thanks Beez for the info. I don't even have a fixed blade yet.
Wow! Looks like a very nice knife for the money! Thank you for sharing! 😎👍🏻
I hv the swisstech gerundet. I love it slimness and sharp blade
Nice Knife. Must have! Thank you!
Awesome Blade! Love it will be looking for Swiss Tech
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME INFORMATION
I’ve been curious about Swiss Tech. Thanks for the review.
I would like to see it compared to the off grid ridgeback. The finish looks like powdercoat.
I have seen there folding knives at Walmart, this knife looks pretty nice.
I like those red shadowboxed liners
Looks awesome! Been trying to find a affordable bushcraft knife
Sweet knife - thanks for the run down!
Attention K Mart shoppers 😂 🚨
Mine is arriving Thursday! I love the SwissTech Walmart exclusive knives machete and axe 🔪👍
I watch all your throwing videos and shorts and it was because of your videos that i went and got the stalhern, i just ordered the kraftig , the machete and the hatchet and they should be here soon 😎
May buy one. I'll build it a leather sheath accented in red.
Hi Beez, the fixed blade looks nice. Oh, by the way, the 1066 is the steel used on the BPS knife 🔪, I have one that I am going to patina to help keep away rust
Swiss Tech is a new knife company to me. I might have to make a trip to Walmart. Thank You for the Video

I’m looking forward to getting a fixed blade knife soon! Thanks for offering up a GAW. Good luck all!
I already follow Swiss Tech after seeing they took over the SOG Baton. I’ve been curious how their knives are since they are technically Walmart knives.
I’ll be checking this out for myself. Looking for an inexpensive working knife for around the farm that’s not one of my pricy skinning and hunting knives.
Beautiful fix blade need ferro with it
D2 and micarta for a good price. Not too bad. Wonder how the heat treatment is. Anyone know about Swiss tech heat treat?
I love your channel. Thank you for bringing budget friendly knives to us,
Thanks for your content. I"m lovin' the knife reviews. I have so many knives, I've spent years and $$$ collecting and/or acquiring. Very nice knives.
Looks like a good and nice knife right there, by the way that'll has to do with the feeling it bears to the touch, it's from the Spanish word "tacto" Wich is described like the explanation I made.
IT LOOKS VERY GOOD, I WILL BE LOOKING FOR THEM
My only issue is the "Taktil" finish...it looks like it would be hard to clean off anything that get's on the blade.
This would look great beside my other Swiss tech!
Have the Swiss tech folder and it's an everyday carry/work knife. Pretty well made tools. I'll have to check this out.
Nice basic style blade, textured handle, good grip. Love the red accent touch on handle.
I got the swisstech stahlern from Walmart about a year ago it's pretty nice. Aus 8 steel, sheath and ferro rod for $40. Got the listig too
Looks good. I would have preferred 1095 steel but D2 works.
That is a BEAUTIFUL knife!
And thank you for the giveaway, that is very generous!
Fixed blade are my favorite, all about the outdoors.
Fixed blades are making a huge come back and Swiss Tech is helping lead the way. It's D2 steel that's good working Steel and that's great Bushcraft Steel.
Thanks for all the info on the knives, I have bought many due to the info I learn on here
I like Swiss tech knives
I like this knife..
I would like to get one.😊
Finally a Swiss Tech big enough for my hands. Why D2 on a fixed blade? Something tougher would be nice. 14C28N would be great.
Swiss tech is a great brand. Worth well more than what you pay.
Both knives are very nice.
I love that Swiss tech and .ist of all that beefy bowie knife 😃👍
Very nice Swiss Tech blades!
