FUN FUCT! Poziomki was first, and then was strawberees. Siencists change poziomki geneticaly so farming them was more usefull, that means if you have allergy to strawberees it doesn't means you have allergy to poziomki, because it is not the same anymore
I NEED THOSE MINI STRAWBERRIES!!! edit: stop why is there a war in the comments 😭 edit 2: yes Ik there not strawberries they are a different type of berrie
Theyre all over the united sytates as well. They mainly growin highly weeded up areas so the can be hard to see but if you dig around a little you should be able to see them. I usually find them around garden areas. I don’t eat them very often because of their small size but yes they do taste like any other strawberry just not as fulfilling
As a polish person, the best strawberries you can grow without practically doing anything are these! They will pretty much randomly pop up in my garden
as a polish person im so shocked at how well you pronounced poziomki. also they arent really strawberries and no, they arent unripe strawberries. they are pretty much everywhere in poland.
They are better than regular strawberries 🍓 Wild strawberries or “earthberries” in Russian. I loved when it was their season! They often grow in meadows and occupy a large area.
We have similar ones in sweden called smultron! (scientific name is Fragaria vesca) And while yes, they are in the same family, they are actually a different species than strawberries. We even have a word in swedish called "smultronställe" which translates to smultron place/location. It is used to describe a place where you feel extra happy, joyful and at peace. If you haven't tried smultron yet - try them if you have the chance, they are delicious and even sweeter than strawberries. 🍓
In our country they are called wild strawberries/strawberry weed and they grow everywhere in the mountain forests, but even in gardens if you provide them with the necessary conditions. I think it's just the climate that makes some people unaware of them because they prefer cooler areas.
I have tons of them in my garden and i'm polish. But i believe you can get poziomki in other country's too, i also have them in belgium and i don't know where we got them anymore but we have them. They are delicious and thank you sm for mentioning Poland 🇵🇱❤
Im polish too i love poziomki (these small stawberries) they are almost everywhere! The only diffrence between a normal stawberry and the small ones is that they are sweeter!❤
These strawberries not only grow in polish forests, but also in Slovakia and Czechia. My grandma has tons of them on her backyard, and once they get ripe in the summer, me and my siblings compete for them 😂
Strawberries like this used to grow in my street but not anymore because at 1 house there are new people and so they removed it because they built a more beautiful garden and at the other one houses have been built.
In sweden, they’re very common. So we call them “smultron” and grow honestly in almost every forest here. It’s not technically a strawberry but some other kind of berry! ❤
Well it's called wildberry (or with space) and it's difrent kind of fruit than strawberry. Well they are same family but it is not same fruit but in smaller version.
They’re called smultron in Sweden, they’re kind of like wild strawberries and they taste very sweet or sour and they usually grow up in bushes during the summer

Actually, that's a normal size of strawberry. The only reason we have giant strawberries is because of selective breeding for strawberries.

As a Polish person, they're literally my favourite fruit, I do not think they taste the same as strawberries even
I kind of forget that these type of strawberries aren't everywhere 😂
