I think that Rhodey has been a SKRULL after Endgame bcz in the funeral of Tony he had the braces and then in falcon and the winter solider his legs didn’t have the braces
I suspect after the Rotten Tomatoes score and all the fan confusion/outrage over undermining Rhodey's huge emotional moments from 'Civil War' to 'Endgame' should quite definitively answer the question of which direction they want to go. They need to stop trying to subvert audience expectations and artificially manufacturing "OH $#!T" moments and focus on rediscovering how to tell good stories.

I would disagree with the timing, since in Avengers: Endgame just after Thanos’ missiles hit, Rhodey disengaged his armor and slid out he had no use of his legs (see moment at 2:03:25 in the movie), as he rolls out of the armor. So, the timing of his abduction would not have been after CA:CW. It was most likely during one of his hospital visits during a testing appointment after Endgame.
There's another small detail. The Iron Man and War Machine armors are designed to only operate with Tony and Rhodey's brainwaves, so Skrull Rhodey wouldn't be able to use the armor since her brainwaves would be incompatible with the armor. And the last time we saw Rhodey in the War Machine armor was during Endgame.
Another small timing detail is, gravik was still working for fury. The day after "battle for earth", gravik went to collect the blood samples. That would mean that gravik would have had the plan to betray fury years before endgame and would've stole the blood after the battle.
Another detail is that, even if Gravik had already betrayed Fury by then, he wouldn't have had to send Pagan anywhere since Rava was in both big battles and could have gathered all the DNA herself being so close to the Avengers.
One thing I think is that Rhodey might have been captured after endgame because in a scene in endgame you can see blood on his head but it's red. But also i think it could ruin the story Rhodey had

They could easily do a flashback in Armor Wars where they might show him getting some treatment in a hospital after Endgame where the last thing he remembers is seeing Rava in the room then being released at the end of Secret Invasion. Saves Marvel from having to explain to angry fans that it wasnt him during Endgame, Tony's death and Funeral and gives him the motivation to be the main guy to not let Stark tech be taken by whoever it is trying to steal it, preserve Tony's legacy.
Your theory makes more sense. The War Machine Armor is tuned to Roddy's bio-signature, because they lost the Iron Patriots armor was so easily taken. No, this was not featured in a movie, but Iron Patriot Armor was redesigned by the USAF, so no Stark Protection. The War Machine armor after that was by Tony's design, and he place Stark Protection on ALL his suits, when Roddy took his in Ironman 2. In the final scenes in End Game, Roddy wore the War Machine armor.
I'd be angry if that was the case. Secret invasion was a major let down, having Rhodey be a skrull since civil war would be the one huge thing that came out of it. Without it marvel has utterly wasted a major storyline with no consequences. This would spice up Rhodeys character and we can see him experience the trauma of losing all those years and him mourning Tony.
I hope it didn’t happen until after Avengers: Endgame. It would make sense for the skrulls to make their move on Rhodey during a different exam or procedure, where he would be more vulnerable and less prepared to defend himself.
It had to have happened after. Rhodey was bleeding red in Endgame, and almost died. Plus Gravik only turned on Fury after collecting all the Avengers DNA on that battlefield. He still even gave the DNA to Fury, meaning he hadn't made sinister plans yet.

I think Rhodey after Endgame would make more sense because that's when Gravik made his decision. Because his demeanor seemed to change more after that.
A hospital gown is a hospital gown and other than possibly different colors in different hospitals its a bit silly to go by that plus in Endgame when Rhodey got out of his armor to crawl to Rocket his forehead was bleeding from cuts and his blood was red not Skrull green. And after the Endgame battle it makes perfect sense for Rhodey to go to a hospital to get thoroughly checked over and that's when he was taken. So he would know of Tony's death but perhaps it wasn't him at the funeral.
I like the swap after the funeral and before Falcon and the Winter Soldier, because he was wearing his braces over his dress pants at the funeral and he wasn't wearing them in Falcon and the Winter Soldier in his scene with Sam.
Ultimately I agree that they haven’t decided when he was swapped out yet. Honestly a lot of hospital gowns look the same, so I think people are reading into it. My guess that it was after Endgame when he didn’t seem to have any leg supports.

Counterpoint to Rhodey not being able to walk in Endgame - If Skrulls replicate their targets to a cellular level, then wouldn’t a Skrull assuming the identity of someone with spinal cord damage also have a spinal cord while assuming that person’s identity?

I think it was after endgame and before falcon and WS. Reason being, Stark tech would have detected changes in vitals while in war machine suit. After endgame, we never saw Rhodes in the suit. Writers of secret invasion want us to think it was after CW😂 that's the reason for the hospital gown.
Rudy has been a scroll ever since they replaced his actor from Terrence Howard. And you're right Marvel never really had any plans for any black superheroes back in the old phases
It was definitely after endgame. There are 2 scenes that prove he's still human during end game events. 1) when cap shows up and they're talking to general Ross via the hologram and he tells Rhodes to arrest them, you can see the leg braces that help him walk. 2) At the end before the snap, he was bleeding, and you can see that his blood is red. So it definitely happened some where after endgame. I really wish they'd just stay with the storyline. It would make things like this so much easier....
I think if he was taken during the hospital scene In civil war it will be a huge part of the plot of armour wars… I’d love to see Rhodes have to come to terms with the fact that tony and Natasha have been killed saving the universe from thanos, the amount of guilt he’ll have from not being there for the avengers he will feel will make for a pretty interesting storyline and character development going forward
Civil War makes sense, the Airport battle took place in Germany, and the Skrulls are stationed in Germany, and sense the Director said it is the exact same hospital gown we saw him in in Civil War, it would make sense for the Skrulls to take him when he is there, before he is flown to the other hospital, as it is the most convenient time to do so. Raava must have had some experience with paralyzed legs in the past, which is probably why she was chosen, to best fake the recovery. Something that was pointed out to me, is that Raava could have made genuine connections with the Avengers before Infinity War/Endgame. Also, she would have access to Rhodey's memories through the use of that machine he was hooked up to Emotionally, I can understand why people are hoping for after Endgame, but Logically, Civil War makes more sense
Rhodey being a Skrull since Civil War would make him so much more of an interesting as a character. Him having to play catch up with everything he missed since he got replaced, and dealing with the death of Tony. It makes me look even more forward to Armor Wars too. But I think Marvel/Kevin Feige will go with Rhodey being taken sometime after Endgame during another Hospital checkup or something, but that to me doesn’t make it “a very long time” that he’s been held hostage and replaced. We shall see what they decide!

Rhoadie could’ve had some sort of procedure or medical thing after End Game coincidentally and the skrolls seized that opportunity since they were already busy with collecting other avengers dna at that same time. Exactly. They went to collect DNA and that’s what made Gravik realize it was the time to make a play for power with the DNA being on the table so he told Rava to take over Rhoadie while he was recovering from End Game
After Endgame for so many reasons, both obvious and others more subtle, one of those subtle reasons being that Gravik enslaving humans before Endgame invalidates ALL of Secret Invasion, plus ALL THE EVIDENCE FROM THE PRIOR FILMS.
It is definitely after the civil war, hope we get answers to this when Armour War airs, and it would be more interesting to see when Rhody learns about Tony being dead.

Yeh, it's pretty obvious Rhodey was a Skrull after Civil War. Skrull kidnapped right outta the hospital. And some ppl even said this RIGHT AFTER Civil War came out! Lol They were guessing since way back then.
I personally think Rhodie was replaced after the battle of earth. Right after the blip. It would be logical to think after the battle of earth technology would advance, and he could've been in the hospital to further his treatment to get his mobility back. So that's when I think it happened. We won't know this answer until we know when Gravic started to become disenfranchised with Nick Furry, that's never been definitively stated in the series. But it does lead him being disenfranchised after the blip. Gravic says so in his conversation Nick Furry. Also, when Thanos did the snap, he snapped half of everything in the universe not just on earth. So we don’t even know if it was dine before, during or after the battle of earth, because half of everything was gone for those five years. And who was left, or if Gravic was snapped. There's a lot of information in backstory that we just don't know yet. I'm sure it'll be flushed out in other movies and properties of Marvel. It would make sense. It was after the battle of earth, and after the events of Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
Isnt the battle of earth right after they're brought back, not the blip? Thats where everyone was. During the blip they were spread out. I prefer Rhodey being a Skrull after the events of Avengers Endgame cause like Warren said it was only after Nick Fury came back from the blip he went straight to space and making Gravik irritated and plus I wouldn’t want to have to look back on some moments with Rhodey and think that was a Skrull and would make those moments lose any emotion they had especially Tony Stark’s death

I know some people would be mad but to me this would be cool depending on how they tell it. Im gone guess this mean Gravik has been slowly moving his pawns into play over time which I find kinda cool. Plus it would mean Rhodey would have a awesome story having to deal with what all happened in the mcu since he’s been gone.
There's preparing for something by maybe a few months or a year at most, but if he was actually from civil war that would imply that gravik had been planning this for almost a decade, which you wouldn't plan thag far ahead to implant people. That, and it doesn't make sense since the suits are designed to only work for Rhodey and Tony so they wouldn't have been able to use the suit.
My only issue with this is if Gravik was plotting the invasion before the battle of earth, why would he hand over the dna from the harvest to Fury after collecting it (as Fury said in ep5 - Gravik lead the team) He collected the other dna (Col, frost beast etc) because he couldn't find the harvest. It just doesn't add up to me.

I think a pretty cool way to explain it is that. Like Varra, Raava went to Rhodey to basically propose a deal where they will swap places time to time (similar to how Nick did during Spiderman FFH). So with this, from Civil War to Endgame, they were swapping places, especially for times when “War Machine” had his own personal missions to deal or when Rhodey needed therapy. It’s possible that Raava Rhodey never got into his suit because Rhodey only had it compatible to him (someway) so that the Skrull was mostly doing Human US Gov Rhodey things. After Nick disappeared, it broke the camel’s back and caused Gravik to initiate the Secret Invasion, in which Rhodey (during therapy OR SURGERY) was sealed away to be replaced. If needed, I can go much more in depth. It’s currently 2 AM rn lol.

No the whole point of the Skrull comics is that members of the Avengers have been Skrulls for a long period of time, and given he’s in the exact same hospital gown from Civil War and can’t walk is confirmation he was taken during that film.
It would be nice if they went back and showed rava seeing someone who she loved, dusted and have to fight to collect the stones. Would give some more story behind her or something
I really hate the idea that he’s been a skrull since Civil War. It just makes specifically that final moment with Tony mean nothing as well as the fact that he wouldn’t have even been at his best friend’s funeral. I wouldn’t hate it as much if he was done better in the show but I didn’t really care for what they did with him. He acted like a completely different character too than he did in infinity war and endgame so that also doesn’t make too much since that he would have been a skrull in those. Keeping my fingers crossed that they decide it wasn’t until after endgame that he was replaced🤞
Wouldn't not going to the funeral of the best friend of the person you are trying to impersonate be a tell? And his job was to get close to the president, trust had already been established, he can act however he wants at that point as long as he doesn't completely blow his cover.
Since endgame shows Rhodey can’t walk without help of stark tech, couldn’t that explain why he can’t walk now? The scrulls could’ve just taken it when they kidnapped him.

For one it means Gravik was planning to rebel almost a decade in advance, it would also mean that the Skrulls were somehow able to use the suits which are designed to only function for Rhodey and Tony through various methods like dna and brain patterns, the the point on Rhodey being unable to walk after the attack in endgame, and also how in that exact battle we see Rhodey bleed, and his blood is red which heavily implies he wasn't a Skrull. Obviously they still go with it, even with the blood just saying it was not thought of at the time or a vfx mistake, but it just seems more like an afterthought rather than an actually thought out plan

I also thought skrulls replicate down to the DNA which would explain to me at least on how he got access to the suits. I mean after all humans aren’t as advanced as skrulls so I imagined they always would of had a plan to take over if they didn’t find a home in time.

It's impossible that Rhodey was a scrull from Civil War Movie. Let me tell you why... In Avengers End Game : Captain marvel is in the room with others avengers (Thor, Captain, Black Widow and Rhodey). She is coming from Space and can recognize a Scrull ( Remember in Captain Marvel movie : She recognize the old women in the train) She knows them like Nick Furry... I rewatched Endgame last night and noticed that when Rocket asks "Who has never been to space before?" Rhoady hesitated and was the last to raise his hand, and mumbled something like, "Why?"
They need to say that iron man was a skrull so that they can bring back RDJ. And... They can say that some of the humans that were "rescued" were skrulls in disguise in case the humans got into the hostage pins
Unless they got the idea to replace humans from Nick fury himself. Because the skrulls were still working for him at that time, gravik lead the skrulls who gathered all of the blood that made the harvest. So if stark was replaced by a skrull he could’ve been wearing one of those black widow face masks all the time, especially in a battle with Thanos, where he could surely have died. No one would have know about the masks except for stark , Rhodes and widow and at this point 2 were dead and one was MIA. Just an idea to bounce around
In the same way that Skrulls sometimes assume Nick Fury's identity I don't see why it has to be all or nothing for Rhodey. Rava was on friendly terms with Fury and the Avengers once. Maybe it benefits Rhodey to sometimes be the guy in the suit and sometimes not. Maybe that's how he got captured. He let his guard down.
Perhaps Rhodey had a secret side mission and was swapping back and forth with Raava purposefully and then when Gravik had his fallout, they captured Rhodey and made it permanent. Rhodey might have been about to have another surgery to fully fix his legs and the identical gown was just a coincidence/standard issue.
IMO, it makes more sense that Rhodey was taken AFTER Endgame. Like you said, Gravik was one of the collectors of the Harvest. He was not likely one of those who were Snapped away, so he was probably festering for the 5-year timeskip... knowledge that half his people had been Snapped away, and watching those remaining Avengers only helping humans and other planets (though that's moreso because they didn't know about the Skrulls being there at the time), but also watching Carol buzz around the galaxy and not bothering to keep the Skrulls informed if she found a suitable world for them OR he learned about Thanos' farm world and she didn't offer it to them. Sufficed to say, once everyone (including Fury) was Blipped back, Gravik and the other Skrulls then harvested the DNA from the final battleground of Endgame. Seeing Fury run off instead of helping them though... that's when all that festering and the notion for taking over swelled up inside him, and the idea of kidnapping high-ranking personnel took control of him. Once the kidnapping had been established, that's when the idea for a Super Skrull came to mind. It only makes sense that it happened AFTER Endgame... because if he was a collector for the Harvest, why would he have given the vial to Fury in the first place, and not kept it for himself?

I hope it is before actually because then we can get a Rhody that give him a motive to protect tony technology in armory war. And we can see his reaction on suddenly find out his friend past away and world is very different from what he left. Great character development.
It needs to be after Endgame because Rhodey is an important character to some of us, and making him a skrull after civil war takes away so many touching and important scenes... it sucks to me that they are trying to take it as far back as Civil War.
It needs to be as far back as civil war. It adds more than it takes away. We can see him mourn Tony again and grapple with the fact he's lost all those years. You people crying about this gives off the same cringe as people who can't handle character death, even tho it improves story.
Secret Wars is likely not as popular as endgame. So making this reveal may not be as recognized by most people. At least not casual viewers. Nonetheless it'll be 8-9 years of world events for Rhodes to catchup on, MCU timeline wise, Especially the Snap, and the loss of his best friend
I think after Civil War he was replaced. Maybe Rava had plans of her own for the Scrulls even before Gravik rebelled after Endgame. I don't know, but could Rava be a close confidant or a spy of the emperor, who is still exist somewhere. I've seen a lot of videos about Rhodey on other channels as well, and in fact there were other theories as to why he might have been swapped out after Civil War. One of them was that Rava could be the mother of Hulk's son. I also think that she wanted Tony's technique to build the machine and that's why she Rhodey played for so long, even with his disability. Hopefully this will all be fully cleared up at some point either in other projects bit by bit or then in Armor Wars.
For that to be true, it would mean Gravik already had a team with pods in a Russian nuke plant when he was still working for Fury harvesting dna after endgame. Then wouldn’t he have just taken copies of the dna then? His monologues made it seem like he hadn’t turned on Fury yet til after Endgame harvesting.
Gravik wasn't in charge until during secret invasion. We see him intimidate the fake world leaders into giving him control. Meaning someone else not loyal to fury could have been setting things up the whole time.

There's so many problems if they say rhodey become a skrull during civil war. It will ruiin so many scenes and create so many consistency errors....endgame rhodey can't use his legs when him and rocket are trapped... the ironman suits are only supposed to work with Tony and rhodeys brain waves so Rava shouldn't be compatible. As you mentioned rhodey needed physical therapy at the end of civil war....that was a heart felt scene between Tony and rhodey. Rhodey did a short recap of his life which just doesn't feel like the same skrull in secret invasion. The falcon and the winter soldier show....rhodey and Sam also have a heart felt convo about being men of colour as well... In endgame, nebula says I wasn't always like this referring to her arm, and rhodey responds with me neither, tipping his legs. It's pretty clear that marvel decided to make this decision recently if it's true... and has not been in the pipeline since civil war. The only way they make this work.....is Rava is also paralysed in her legs down....honestly and they could spin some story that after rhodey got paralysed she became the perfect candidate to fill his place or something.
I would either want Rhodey to have been a skrull when we first see him in Falcon And Winter Soldier but if not there then right before the events of Secret Invasion
Rava having to eject from the War Machine Armor and do some crawling is just as easily explained as her having been injured when the entire compound exploded around her and she was dumped into the sub levels along with the debris
I would say some Skrulls were rebelling before Gravik and secretly replacing people before the blip. It is telling that Rhodes is the one who was angry at Captain Marvel for being missing this entire time at the beginning of Endgame
It seems pretty obvious to me that it would have been post Endgame for all the reasons you mention in the video. The gown is the only element that could cast some doubts, but it is very easy to justify that Rhodey most likely still undergoes medical exams to monitor the evolution of his injury post-Endgame, and would need to put on a gown every time he undergoes an MRI. Definitely easier to justify than all the plot-holes his being a Skrull post-Civil War would create.
It makes sense that this happened after Civil War because yes Rhodey was sad when Tony died but all he did was hold his face. He didn’t say anything and stood up only after a few seconds
another yt video pointed out that Rhodey had the leg braces though the ending of endgame at Tony's funeral... but did not have them in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Marking an excellent time that Skrodey could have swapped places between those events. Its a much cleaner storyline and dosen't rob us of the mourning moments in Endgame.
While I think it would sound cool for Rhodey to have been replaced during the events of Civil War and how it could add to armor wars, I think it would be better that Rhodey would make logical sense for Rhodey to have been replaced sometime after the events of Endgame. The main reason being that the Skrull's need to replace humans wasn't there yet during Civil War and some might argue that Tony would have known if that was his friend being replaced by an alien; not sure if he knew about the Skrulls or not but he knows Rhodey. Also, his gown may imply that he was replaced in Civil War but one could argue that he wore that gown during a doctor's visit after the events of Endgame that had to do with his spine injury; maybe he was being offered a treatment to help him walk better or there was some new tech he had that was helping him inside his body that was created by Tony for him before he died.
What if RDJ was a Skrull too? Yes, he didn't turn to a Skrull when he died, but he also had the infinity stones. He could have just used the reality stone to permanently alter his appearance or something. "I am inevitable." "And I..... (uses reality stone) am Iron Man!" *snap* And it explains his connection to Rhodey and why he was right there- he wanted to cover it up if he turned.
The switch happening after civil war makes sense. Any personality changes in Rhodey, would be attributed to losing the ability if his legs. Remember in infinity war Rhodey gave alittle talk back to General Ross. Saying something to the effect " I think I paid for that". Followed by "thats a court marshall." Seemed out of character for him to talk back to a superior officer. For End Game, wasnt Rhodey pinned down and forced to get out of the Armor after the missle attack. Perhaps Raava, if it was Raava, was injured from the attack I dint know. It will be made clear soon, but i think it makes sense for the swap after civil war.
Good video! I would prefer if Rhodey became a Skrull after Avengers Endgame, but I think it will end up being that the swap was after Civil War. Seeing as he (Rava) behaves differently in Secret Invasion than we’ve seen him behave in the past, Marvel should’ve given us hints about his behavior being off before this show. I think it’s a drastic and foolish retcon if Rhodey ends up having been a Skrull since CACW.
I think the railroad he fought in the battle for earth. He was then captured in a hospital gown because he was being looked at for injuries that might have occurred during the battle. During that time he was then switched out with Rava, who then attended the funeral. Because unless I’m mistaken roadie isn’t wearing the leg supports during the funeral.
I think it will be a situation where Rhodey went in for surgery to repair his legs or something like that post snap and thats when they took him. Theres too much to ruin for him to have been taken from civil war...and how would Fury not known? He was still running things skull related then...I think its being over thought out.

I think that Rhodey has been a SKRULL after Endgame bcz in the funeral of Tony he had the braces and then in falcon and the winter solider his legs didn’t have the braces
I suspect after the Rotten Tomatoes score and all the fan confusion/outrage over undermining Rhodey's huge emotional moments from 'Civil War' to 'Endgame' should quite definitively answer the question of which direction they want to go. They need to stop trying to subvert audience expectations and artificially manufacturing "OH $#!T" moments and focus on rediscovering how to tell good stories.

I would disagree with the timing, since in Avengers: Endgame just after Thanos’ missiles hit, Rhodey disengaged his armor and slid out he had no use of his legs (see moment at 2:03:25 in the movie), as he rolls out of the armor. So, the timing of his abduction would not have been after CA:CW. It was most likely during one of his hospital visits during a testing appointment after Endgame.
There's another small detail. The Iron Man and War Machine armors are designed to only operate with Tony and Rhodey's brainwaves, so Skrull Rhodey wouldn't be able to use the armor since her brainwaves would be incompatible with the armor. And the last time we saw Rhodey in the War Machine armor was during Endgame.
After end game I think there was rhodey reference and easter eggs after end game. My comment is between a movie and a show of episode 4 or 5
Another small timing detail is, gravik was still working for fury. The day after "battle for earth", gravik went to collect the blood samples. That would mean that gravik would have had the plan to betray fury years before endgame and would've stole the blood after the battle.
Another detail is that, even if Gravik had already betrayed Fury by then, he wouldn't have had to send Pagan anywhere since Rava was in both big battles and could have gathered all the DNA herself being so close to the Avengers.

They could easily do a flashback in Armor Wars where they might show him getting some treatment in a hospital after Endgame where the last thing he remembers is seeing Rava in the room then being released at the end of Secret Invasion. Saves Marvel from having to explain to angry fans that it wasnt him during Endgame, Tony's death and Funeral and gives him the motivation to be the main guy to not let Stark tech be taken by whoever it is trying to steal it, preserve Tony's legacy.

Your theory makes more sense. The War Machine Armor is tuned to Roddy's bio-signature, because they lost the Iron Patriots armor was so easily taken. No, this was not featured in a movie, but Iron Patriot Armor was redesigned by the USAF, so no Stark Protection. The War Machine armor after that was by Tony's design, and he place Stark Protection on ALL his suits, when Roddy took his in Ironman 2. In the final scenes in End Game, Roddy wore the War Machine armor.
I'd be angry if that was the case. Secret invasion was a major let down, having Rhodey be a skrull since civil war would be the one huge thing that came out of it. Without it marvel has utterly wasted a major storyline with no consequences.
This would spice up Rhodeys character and we can see him experience the trauma of losing all those years and him mourning Tony.

I hope it didn’t happen until after Avengers: Endgame. It would make sense for the skrulls to make their move on Rhodey during a different exam or procedure, where he would be more vulnerable and less prepared to defend himself.
It had to have happened after. Rhodey was bleeding red in Endgame, and almost died. Plus Gravik only turned on Fury after collecting all the Avengers DNA on that battlefield. He still even gave the DNA to Fury, meaning he hadn't made sinister plans yet.

A hospital gown is a hospital gown and other than possibly different colors in different hospitals its a bit silly to go by that plus in Endgame when Rhodey got out of his armor to crawl to Rocket his forehead was bleeding from cuts and his blood was red not Skrull green. And after the Endgame battle it makes perfect sense for Rhodey to go to a hospital to get thoroughly checked over and that's when he was taken. So he would know of Tony's death but perhaps it wasn't him at the funeral.
I like the swap after the funeral and before Falcon and the Winter Soldier, because he was wearing his braces over his dress pants at the funeral and he wasn't wearing them in Falcon and the Winter Soldier in his scene with Sam.

It was definitely after endgame. There are 2 scenes that prove he's still human during end game events.
1) when cap shows up and they're talking to general Ross via the hologram and he tells Rhodes to arrest them, you can see the leg braces that help him walk.
2) At the end before the snap, he was bleeding, and you can see that his blood is red.
So it definitely happened some where after endgame. I really wish they'd just stay with the storyline. It would make things like this so much easier....

Civil War makes sense, the Airport battle took place in Germany, and the Skrulls are stationed in Germany, and sense the Director said it is the exact same hospital gown we saw him in in Civil War, it would make sense for the Skrulls to take him when he is there, before he is flown to the other hospital, as it is the most convenient time to do so.
Raava must have had some experience with paralyzed legs in the past, which is probably why she was chosen, to best fake the recovery.
Something that was pointed out to me, is that Raava could have made genuine connections with the Avengers before Infinity War/Endgame. Also, she would have access to Rhodey's memories through the use of that machine he was hooked up to

Him having to play catch up with everything he missed since he got replaced, and dealing with the death of Tony. It makes me look even more forward to Armor Wars too. But I think Marvel/Kevin Feige will go with Rhodey being taken sometime after Endgame during another Hospital checkup or something, but that to me doesn’t make it “a very long time” that he’s been held hostage and replaced. Rhoadie could’ve had some sort of procedure or medical thing after End Game coincidentally and the skrolls seized that opportunity since they were already busy with collecting other avengers dna at that same time. Exactly. They went to collect DNA and that’s what made Gravik realize it was the time to make a play for power with the DNA being on the table so he told Rava to take over Rhoadie while he was recovering from End Game
After Endgame for so many reasons, both obvious and others more subtle, one of those subtle reasons being that Gravik enslaving humans before Endgame invalidates ALL of Secret Invasion, plus ALL THE EVIDENCE FROM THE PRIOR FILMS.
It is definitely after the civil war, hope we get answers to this when Armour War airs, and it would be more interesting to see when Rhody learns about Tony being dead.

I personally think Rhodie was replaced after the battle of earth. Right after the blip. It would be logical to think after the battle of earth technology would advance, and he could've been in the hospital to further his treatment to get his mobility back. So that's when I think it happened. We won't know this answer until we know when Gravic started to become disenfranchised with Nick Furry, that's never been definitively stated in the series. But it does lead him being disenfranchised after the blip. Gravic says so in his conversation Nick Furry. Also, when Thanos did the snap, he snapped half of everything in the universe not just on earth. So we don’t even know if it was dine before, during or after the battle of earth, because half of everything was gone for those five years. And who was left, or if Gravic was snapped. There's a lot of information in backstory that we just don't know yet. I'm sure it'll be flushed out in other movies and properties of Marvel. It would make sense. It was after the battle of earth, and after the events of Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

There's preparing for something by maybe a few months or a year at most, but if he was actually from civil war that would imply that gravik had been planning this for almost a decade, which you wouldn't plan thag far ahead to implant people. That, and it doesn't make sense since the suits are designed to only work for Rhodey and Tony so they wouldn't have been able to use the suit.

My only issue with this is if Gravik was plotting the invasion before the battle of earth, why would he hand over the dna from the harvest to Fury after collecting it (as Fury said in ep5 - Gravik lead the team) He collected the other dna (Col, frost beast etc) because he couldn't find the harvest. It would be difficult to tell when Rhodes was switched with a Skrull since this happened way before we were introduced to the Skrulls in the MCU
I would disagree because, the skrull infiltration was planned after fury's disappearance, which could be when he left for space or after the blip. In both case it's after the events of civil war.
I think a pretty cool way to explain it is that. Like Varra, Raava went to Rhodey to basically propose a deal where they will swap places time to time (similar to how Nick did during Spiderman FFH). So with this, from Civil War to Endgame, they were swapping places, especially for times when “War Machine” had his own personal missions to deal or when Rhodey needed therapy. It’s possible that Raava Rhodey never got into his suit because Rhodey only had it compatible to him (someway) so that the Skrull was mostly doing Human US Gov Rhodey things. After Nick disappeared, it broke the camel’s back and caused Gravik to initiate the Secret Invasion, in which Rhodey (during therapy OR SURGERY) was sealed away to be replaced. If needed, I can go much more in depth. It’s currently 2 AM rn lol.

I really hate the idea that he’s been a skrull since Civil War. It just makes specifically that final moment with Tony mean nothing as well as the fact that he wouldn’t have even been at his best friend’s funeral. I wouldn’t hate it as much if he was done better in the show but I didn’t really care for what they did with him. He acted like a completely different character too than he did in infinity war and endgame so that also doesn’t make too much since that he would have been a skrull in those. Honestly I’m for this and I know some people won’t be an that’s fine. However I do see problems with this as well. One being as to why the Skrulls didn’t use or try to duplicate the time travel technology to go save their home planet. You’d think that be the first thing they do. For one it means Gravik was planning to rebel almost a decade in advance, it would also mean that the Skrulls were somehow able to use the suits which are designed to only function for Rhodey and Tony through various methods like dna and brain patterns, the the point on Rhodey being unable to walk after the attack in endgame, and also how in that exact battle we see Rhodey bleed, and his blood is red which heavily implies he wasn't a Skrull. Obviously they still go with it, even with the blood just saying it was not thought of at the time or a vfx mistake, but it just seems more like an afterthought rather than an actually thought out plan
@@mastere6115 I mean tbh I agree there are some inconsistencies with it, but it makes sense (to me at least) the skrulls an advanced alien race so they would of been able to access Starks suits. I also thought skrulls replicate down to the DNA which would explain to me at least on how he got access to the suits. Now I get some people don’t like the idea of Gravik having a plan since civil war however I always thought the skrulls may have something like this in the back pocket. I mean after all humans aren’t as advanced as skrulls so I imagined they always would of had a plan to take over if they didn’t find a home in time.

If the story can be well thought out an written then I’m all for it, if not then they should do it after endgame, maybe sometime after the battle but before Tony’s funeral? It’s possible Rodney went to the hospital after endgame I mean he was probably heavily injured it would’ve happened off screen also hospital gowns all look the same. As for crying at the funeral scrolls do take memories and fake crying is something scrolls should know to do if they’re going to fake being human I mean what would the avengers think if Tony’s best friend didn’t cry at his funeral?

In Avengers End Game : Captain marvel is in the room with others avengers (Thor, Captain, Black Widow and Rhodey). She is coming from Space and can recognize a Scrull ( Remember in Captain Marvel movie : She recognize the old women in the train) She knows them like Nick Furry... So If Marvel team create the doubt about Rhodey as a scrull in CIVIL WAR it's because the script of Secret Invasion is crap and they missed the goal with this serie.... @Marvel i'm not doing strike and have many ideas

I rewatched Endgame last night and noticed that when Rocket asks "Who has never been to space before?" Rhoady hesitated and was the last to raise his hand, and mumbled something like, "Why?"
They need to say that iron man was a skrull so that they can bring back RDJ. And... They can say that some of the humans that were "rescued" were skrulls in disguise in case the humans got into the hostage pins
Problem is he didn't turn back when he died, so he can never have been a Skrull (Nor would they have given him that funeral).
Unless they got the idea to replace humans from Nick fury himself. Because the skrulls were still working for him at that time, gravik lead the skrulls who gathered all of the blood that made the harvest. So if stark was replaced by a skrull he could’ve been wearing one of those black widow face masks all the time, especially in a battle with Thanos, where he could surely have died. No one would have know about the masks except for stark , Rhodes and widow and at this point 2 were dead and one was MIA. Just an idea to bounce around
In the same way that Skrulls sometimes assume Nick Fury's identity I don't see why it has to be all or nothing for Rhodey. Rava was on friendly terms with Fury and the Avengers once. Maybe it benefits Rhodey to sometimes be the guy in the suit and sometimes not. Maybe that's how he got captured. He let his guard down.
i know a bunch of people have been hating this idea but I love it. This finally gives rhodey an interesting story arc.

Perhaps Rhodey had a secret side mission and was swapping back and forth with Raava purposefully and then when Gravik had his fallout, they captured Rhodey and made it permanent. Rhodey might have been about to have another surgery to fully fix his legs and the identical gown was just a coincidence/standard issue.
IMO, it makes more sense that Rhodey was taken AFTER Endgame. Like you said, Gravik was one of the collectors of the Harvest. He was not likely one of those who were Snapped away, so he was probably festering for the 5-year timeskip... knowledge that half his people had been Snapped away, and watching those remaining Avengers only helping humans and other planets (though that's moreso because they didn't know about the Skrulls being there at the time), but also watching Carol buzz around the galaxy and not bothering to keep the Skrulls informed if she found a suitable world for them OR he learned about Thanos' farm world and she didn't offer it to them.
Sufficed to say, once everyone (including Fury) was Blipped back, Gravik and the other Skrulls then harvested the DNA from the final battleground of Endgame. Seeing Fury run off instead of helping them though... that's when all that festering and the notion for taking over swelled up inside him, and the idea of kidnapping high-ranking personnel took control of him. Once the kidnapping had been established, that's when the idea for a Super Skrull came to mind.
It only makes sense that it happened AFTER Endgame... because if he was a collector for the Harvest, why would he have given the vial to Fury in the first place, and not kept it for himself?

I hope it is before actually because then we can get a Rhody that give him a motive to protect tony technology in armory war. And we can see his reaction on suddenly find out his friend past away and world is very different from what he left. Great character development.
It needs to be after Endgame because Rhodey is an important character to some of us, and making him a skrull after civil war takes away so many touching and important scenes... it sucks to me that they are trying to take it as far back as Civil War.
It needs to be as far back as civil war. It adds more than it takes away. We can see him mourn Tony again and grapple with the fact he's lost all those years.

Secret Wars is likely not as popular as endgame. So making this reveal may not be as recognized by most people. At least not casual viewers. Nonetheless it'll be 8-9 years of world events for Rhodes to catchup on, MCU timeline wise, Especially the Snap, and the loss of his best friend

I think after Civil War he was replaced. Maybe Rava had plans of her own for the Scrulls even before Gravik rebelled after Endgame. I don't know, but could Rava be a close confidant or a spy of the emperor, who is still exist somewhere. I've seen a lot of videos about Rhodey on other channels as well, and in fact there were other theories as to why he might have been swapped out after Civil War. One of them was that Rava could be the mother of Hulk's son. I also think that she wanted Tony's technique to build the machine and that's why she Rhodey played for so long, even with his disability. Hopefully this will all be fully cleared up at some point either in other projects bit by bit or then in Armor Wars.

I hate the idea that it wasn't the actual Rhodey who saw Tony die and mourn his death. I feel like it minimizes the emotional impact of the moment.
For that to be true, it would mean Gravik already had a team with pods in a Russian nuke plant when he was still working for Fury harvesting dna after endgame. Then wouldn’t he have just taken copies of the dna then? His monologues made it seem like he hadn’t turned on Fury yet til after Endgame harvesting.
Gravik wasn't in charge until during secret invasion. We see him intimidate the fake world leaders into giving him control. Meaning someone else not loyal to fury could have been setting things up the whole time.
When Rhody went from light skin to dark skin, I think we knew when he was replaced 😂😂😂

There's so many problems if they say rhodey become a skrull during civil war.
It will ruiin so many scenes and create so many consistency errors....endgame rhodey can't use his legs when him and rocket are trapped...
the ironman suits are only supposed to work with Tony and rhodeys brain waves so Rava shouldn't be compatible.
As you mentioned rhodey needed physical therapy at the end of civil war....that was a heart felt scene between Tony and rhodey. Rhodey did a short recap of his life which just doesn't feel like the same skrull in secret invasion.
The falcon and the winter soldier show....rhodey and Sam also have a heart felt convo about being men of colour as well...
In endgame, nebula says I wasn't always like this referring to her arm, and rhodey responds with me neither, tipping his legs.
It's pretty clear that marvel decided to make this decision recently if it's true... and has not been in the pipeline since civil war.
The only way they make this work.....is Rava is also paralysed in her legs down....honestly and they could spin some story that after rhodey got paralysed she became the perfect candidate to fill his place or something.
I would either want Rhodey to have been a skrull when we first see him in Falcon And Winter Soldier but if not there then right before the events of Secret Invasion
Rava having to eject from the War Machine Armor and do some crawling is just as easily explained as her having been injured when the entire compound exploded around her and she was dumped into the sub levels along with the debris

I would say some Skrulls were rebelling before Gravik and secretly replacing people before the blip. It is telling that Rhodes is the one who was angry at Captain Marvel for being missing this entire time at the beginning of Endgame
It seems pretty obvious to me that it would have been post Endgame for all the reasons you mention in the video. The gown is the only element that could cast some doubts, but it is very easy to justify that Rhodey most likely still undergoes medical exams to monitor the evolution of his injury post-Endgame, and would need to put on a gown every time he undergoes an MRI.
Definitely easier to justify than all the plot-holes his being a Skrull post-Civil War would create.

It makes sense that this happened after Civil War because yes Rhodey was sad when Tony died but all he did was hold his face. He didn’t say anything and stood up only after a few seconds
another yt video pointed out that Rhodey had the leg braces though the ending of endgame at Tony's funeral... but did not have them in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Marking an excellent time that Skrodey could have swapped places between those events. Its a much cleaner storyline and dosen't rob us of the mourning moments in Endgame.
While I think it would sound cool for Rhodey to have been replaced during the events of Civil War and how it could add to armor wars, I think it would be better that Rhodey would make logical sense for Rhodey to have been replaced sometime after the events of Endgame. The main reason being that the Skrull's need to replace humans wasn't there yet during Civil War and some might argue that Tony would have known if that was his friend being replaced by an alien; not sure if he knew about the Skrulls or not but he knows Rhodey. Also, his gown may imply that he was replaced in Civil War but one could argue that he wore that gown during a doctor's visit after the events of Endgame that had to do with his spine injury; maybe he was being offered a treatment to help him walk better or there was some new tech he had that was helping him inside his body that was created by Tony for him before he died.
What if RDJ was a Skrull too? Yes, he didn't turn to a Skrull when he died, but he also had the infinity stones. He could have just used the reality stone to permanently alter his appearance or something. "I am inevitable." "And I..... (uses reality stone) am Iron Man!" *snap*
And it explains his connection to Rhodey and why he was right there- he wanted to cover it up if he turned.

The switch happening after civil war makes sense. Any personality changes in Rhodey, would be attributed to losing the ability if his legs.
Remember in infinity war Rhodey gave alittle talk back to General Ross. Saying something to the effect " I think I paid for that". Followed by "thats a court marshall."
Seemed out of character for him to talk back to a superior officer.
For End Game, wasnt Rhodey pinned down and forced to get out of the Armor after the missle attack. Perhaps Raava, if it was Raava, was injured from the attack

Good video! I would prefer if Rhodey became a Skrull after Avengers Endgame, but I think it will end up being that the swap was after Civil War. Seeing as he (Rava) behaves differently in Secret Invasion than we’ve seen him behave in the past, Marvel should’ve given us hints about his behavior being off before this show. I think it’s a drastic and foolish retcon if Rhodey ends up having been a Skrull since CACW.
I think the railroad he fought in the battle for earth. He was then captured in a hospital gown because he was being looked at for injuries that might have occurred during the battle. During that time he was then switched out with Rava, who then attended the funeral. Because unless I’m mistaken roadie isn’t wearing the leg supports during the funeral.
I think it will be a situation where Rhodey went in for surgery to repair his legs or something like that post snap and thats when they took him. Theres too much to ruin for him to have been taken from civil war...and how would Fury not known? He was still running things skull related then...I think its being over thought out.
