  • After attending the Manchester Model Railway exhibition, one of the layouts that stood out was Cheadle Ridge Lane TMD, the modern image DRS depot.
Cheadle Ridge Lane TMD is Steve's exhibition layout using 'OO' gauge code 100 track and a fully DCC operated layout. The exhibition layout is 6ft long 1.5ft wide. Attended as a modern image DRS depot.

Is that a crunching ballast sound effect along with the wheel/brake squeal? Is it part of the loco sound? Which sound unit?

To me model railways are for steam loco's - the detail is far more interesting and complex than Diesel, steam looks great running down a track.

Diesels look far better shunting on shed, Especially if there is 3 or 4 deltics on shed ticking over.
