- This video is all about upgrading the TMD area at Moorland Model Railway. I've replaced the old Metcalfe engine shed with a new modern shed from Railway Laser Lines and fitted the interior from West Hill Wagon Works. I've not shown any of the kit building as Steve from Railway Laser Lines has a number of videos showing a step by step build of the kit. Hope you enjoy the film cheers Andy
We do it like we want its our railroad..love all the clutter..great work..😊
Thanks Frank cheers Andy
A great new TMD! The night scenes are super effective with great atmosphere. I love the DRS train on the main layout. I really enjoyed this video. Thanks so much fr sharing.

Hey Andy, that is looking really good. 'But it is in my world!' that is exactly what this is all about. We create a world that is unique and ours. Looking absolutely amazing, and those night shots are fantastic, nice one.
Thanks very much mate. Anything goes in our created world atb Andy
Wow, Andy. I missed this. Great new TMD and you modeled it up very well. Nice shots, too. I love the interspersed live action shots with the models and layout! Always an honor to see it all!
Thanks very much Anthony yes it's a nice tmd kit. It took a couple of weeks to build but worth it in the end. I've been watching your films but don't always comment as they're im watching on the TV lol thanks again and I must do another update soon cheers Andy
Hi Andy👍 the depot and yard looks awesome. So much interesting detail I had to stop the video on and off to look at all the details.
Keep safe and well my dear friend
Andy
Thanks very much Andy still more stuff to add but it all takes time atb Andy
Hi Andy. as you were saying in the video we make the models to look how we want them to look in our model railway world, which is very true. and that's what makes your TMD stand out. you have done a cracking job. thanks again for your sharing your world. take care Tony👍👍
Thank you very much Tony. I always enjoy visiting Newhassle etc and enjoy all the character story lines you add, I don't always comment as I watch a lot on the TV. Thanks again atb Andy

Hi Andy,
Thats a super new addition to the layout all your loco's should now be super reliable with the modern building they now have for servicing. Your trains running great as usual very nice to see well done.
Cheers Robert.
Hi Robert thanks very much mate. I have been watching your video's but not commented much as I've been watching on TV atb Andy
Hi Andy
That is really a very good kit and you have made a great job of building the scene.
Looks good on the night shots.
Cheers Kev
Hi Kev thanks very much mate. Yes it's a great kit and nice to build. It's great for a modern tmd, atb Andy
Hi, that is an amazing TMD building, reminds me of the Faller/Kibri kits that are available in H0 scale, its great to see something so eye catching I hope the company whom produce it have many other railway buildings in their range of products, thanks for sharing.
Thanks very much for your comments. Yes railway laser lines have a number of railway related buildings on their website and are constantly developing more. Thanks again Andy
Hi Andy, the new TMD looks great!! Fantastic attention to detail, they make for a a great scene! Cheers Gary
Hi Gary thanks mate. Hope you're all well? Its a great kit but a bit too modern for you on the SC line atb Andy
@@moorlandmodelrailwayandy Hi Andy, yes good thanks been doing a bit on the layout this last week but been on with other things the past couple of months! Cheers Gary
Good video thanks lee
Thanks Lee atb Andy
Absolutely stunning Andy you got that just perfect. Top Man ..Have an M.B.E for this one..lol.
MBE gratefully accepted thank you lord Al atb Andy
Excellent Andy and fits in well with your layout. Regards Tom
Looking great, some nice running shots as well.
Thank you very much atb Andy
Hi Andy you have been a busy boy, but its been well worth it, the TMD looks great mate. All the additional fixture and fittings makes it a great scene overall.
Hi Steve thanks very much mate. I bet you recognised where some of the real train shots were taken. The shed kit is very good and really enhances the tmd area. Thanks again mate atb Andy
Hi Andy sure do recognise the foot crossing at Cromwell, spent a few hours there watching East Coast mainline flying through there.
Looks grand, I might have to update my old Peco shed, looks just the trick. Try not to strain yourself over the next few weeks and take it easy, all the best, Andy.
Hi Andy thanks very much mate. It's a great shed as all of the railway laser lines kits seem to be. I've got my feet up at present thanks atb Andy
A very impressive looking TMD, expertly done Andy. You done really well with the glass, not a mark on it. Fits well wirh your superb looking layout. All the best dude. Brian @The Angels
Hi Brian thanks very much mate and yes it was quite a task to not get glue or finger prints on the glass, thank goodness for surgical gloves. Thanks again mate Andy
@@moorlandmodelrailwayandy that's a great point, the gloves I have, so I will remember that. 🤘
Love it Andy! You've really done a good job there mate. Best regards buddy. Lee
Cheers Lee and I'll be shouting on the hammers later atb Andy
That's what I like to hear mate! Haha
Hi Andy, excellent update mate, that kit is brilliant, you’ve done a really good job and loads of details which I love, not prototypical, who cares? It’s a cracking piece of modelling which looks great on your model railway!
Cheers for now John
Hi John thanks very much mate. They are really good kits but have a few fragile parts, not as many as n gauge though. Hope the golf is going OK atb Andy
Looks great mate. And the thing is that it doesn't matter whether it's prototypical or not, you like it and that's all that matters isn't it. I'm a bit like you in that respect. Well done.
Thanks very much for your kind comments. Yeah in my eyes it's a model railway so build it how we like it. Thanks again atb Andy
Good model railway
Thank you very much atb Andy
Hey Andy just popping in from Donegal Dad-Rail chat to catch a bit of your channel.
Hi mate thanks very much atb Andy
Great vid andy im still far of building my big tmd area.
Lighting looks great 👍
Hi mate thanks very much. I decided to do the tmd area as its right where I sit to run the layout. I need to attack my station area now and get that tidied up and looking a bit better atb Andy
Very nice shed,Looks the part with all the additions, I`m looking for something similar but with cladded sides and doors might have another look at laser lines other sheds in the future
Hi mate yes they make some great kits. I could have had doors on this kit but decided to leave them off. Thanks for watching and commenting atb Andy
Fantastic bit of modelling. You definately have an eye for detail Andy. Great detailing both inside and out. Cheers Euan
Thanks very much Euan much appreciated mate atb Andy
That looks very impressive Andy. You’ve really made a great job of pulling all the component parts together. Stephen
Hi Stephen thanks very much. I think detailing is a little easier in 00 than n but they are very good kits, probably a bit to modern for Elvenhome atb Andy
That’s a really impressive shed kit from railway laser lines and the interior from west hill Avon works, you’ve done a great job with all of it Andy, very nice painting of your figures too! Nice one mate 😊 cheers Darrell
Cheers Darrell much appreciated mate they're great kits atb Andy
Hi Andy, A great loco depot kit that, very nice. I liked all your figures on the layout. I am guessing they are 3D printed, do you mind if I ask where you got them from, as I thought their poses seemed very natural, unlike many figures you see on layouts. A great layout, and who cares if it takes time between videos, as you said, it's a hobby! I take many months to get around to doing a video too. All the very best Dave.
Hi Dave, thanks for watching and your comments. The figures are 3d printed mainly from modelu and finescale figures. However the finescale Web site seems to be closed but it looks like they may have joined forces with scale3d so look on there and search for figures. Cheers Andy
@moorlandmodelrailwayandy cheers thanks, I'll check their sites out later.
Absolutely brilliant from start to finish, I have been after good quality people especially with rucksacks for a while now , with no joy 😢 have you done them yourself or have you purchased them ?. Keep the videos coming, Roger
Hi Roger thanks very much for your kind comments they're very much appreciated. The walkers with rucksacks are 3d printed by Finescale Figures. I think that you can also get them from Modelu 3d Figures. Finescale sell them painted or unpainted to do yourself. I paint them myself as with all my figures. Thanks again Andy

0:38 a slight issue with those mk2s - did they derail?
Hi thanks no they didn't derail. I've got them on close couplings and 2 of the carriages clashed together. I've since sorted the problem and they run fine now cheers Andy
Hi Andy what side layout
Hi Matthew the main layout is 13feet x 7ft. There is a foot extension on one side where the tmd is effectively making one side 17feet long. The boards on the tmd and station side are 3 ft wide and the opposite side they are 2 feet wide. The gap between the boards is now having removable diorama boards fitted to help increase the scenics. Hope that helps cheers Andy
your intro severely bored me... take some tips from Chadwick Model Railway please
I am working on a new intro after speaking with Charlie, just need time to do one but thanks for highlighting the fact and prompting me to get on with it cheers Andy
