I have a question. I hope you see this. When a shuttle pattern says RW can the work ALWAYS be FLIPPED as a rule up and down, instead RW like turning a page in a book.?
Very good question! There are actually three types of turns. Flip onto the back side, turn 180 degrees and flip like a book leaf. The most commonly used is the first option. I think if the designer has something else in mind, it will definitely be indicated in the abbreviation or in the instructions in the design. Unfortunately, I don’t know English very well, so the subtleties of the translation are not clear to me. In my patterns, I write "tw" with the usual reversal of work on the other side in mind.
Marvelous to get such good clear directions- thank you!
