My name on Mtggoldfish is "watz" and the deck is called mystical rewind. Been trying to build an e dstep deck for ages and finaly i have suceeded i think!

Very cool to see more content on the channel. I enjoy the variety a lot, especially the custom card series and the game shows but adding Pauper content to the mix specifically around rogue brews might put it over the top. Great job, Strata team!
I'm glad you like the variety! My biggest concern is always about the lack of consistency from each video, but I just make what interests me at the time.
Nice video, glad to see more youtube channels playing pauper. I wonder if a tron variant would be better, also because it can unlock more colours. Teachings could be a good addition in this version as well.
That's a really interesting idea. Feels like it might be hard to find enough slots for all the Tron pieces you need plus the scam pieces, but definitely could be something there.
@@StrataGames Probably Kalikaiz, only pauper creator i've seen in a long while and I remember the match also. The deck looked sweet so I tried to mock up a list based on what I saw. Now I have the real deal, I guess :D
Really cool to see people playing the "scam/recursion" archetype, and the deck seems really sweet. I personally had completely slept on the girder goons but they seem super sweet. Gonna try it out in my brew! The mournwhelk seems very expensive for it's effect. Sure nuking 4 cards are strong but it might only come online late in the game when the game might already have swung against more aggressive builds. I run Augur of Skulls in my "recursion/scam" deck, which can delete most of your opponents hand as early as turn 3 :D Cards i've also enjoyed in my meta is Piracy Charm as a removal/pump/discard/evasion card. Yeah its quite the versatile little 1 drop and depending on the meta it puts in work..
@@StrataGames it's worked great for me, especially in combination with undying evil. You can either sacrifice it twice (since it's still in the upkeep phase after you've sacrificed it once), or you have a regenerative 2/2 blocker. Against certain decks the nature of it having Regenerate can completely wall threats (think terror serpents or gurmag anglers)
@@StrataGames it sure looks like it. I made a similar list abusing evoke and undying malice before.It looked good in paper but never gets a win in play. Hoping to see more of your content in the future.
I've been messing around with a red black list, but I don't think rituals are the way to go. You already need a scam spell + creature, so adding in rituals as a third piece will make the consistency even worse, though sometimes it will allow you to have a more explosive start. At the suggestion of some people, I'm thinking about Augur of Skulls as a way to scam earlier.
Yes! Scam in my favorite color combo. For some reason I just couldn't get into either Dimir Terror or Dimir Faeries, but this looks like the sort of playstyle I'm into.
dude well played vs turbo fog on game 3, you didn't have much time and still managed to play and talk! first time seeing you and just subscribed! I've played quite a bit of turbo fog and a buuunch of pauper in mtgo so it was a welcomed surprise when even tho you didn't call turbo fog when they played desert you still managed to play really well vs the deck
I think Echoing Decay is not the best card to use here. Instead, I would use Suffocating Fumes as you can cycle it to try to find some of your win conditions, while Echoing Decay can easily turn into a dead card in your hand. Besides that, I think it's a very interesting brew. Keep up the good work :-)
Not much of a pauper player, but i wonder if in the walls matchup you just hold the removal spell for when they commit the freed. you know that their two spells left were tutor + payoff after you stripped them, so after you take out their entire combo with 1 removal spell they are left with not all that much mana and no way to find anything very quickly
Yeah, I was definitely a bit hasty with the removal at the end there. Got a little tunnel-visioned on keeping them off blue when I should have saved it, as you said, for when they went for the combo.
Oh man. I've been trying to make pauper scam happen since Angelic Renewal/Mulldrifter. This list looks sweet, I wonder if an esper version would be worth the less consistent mana.
Honestly, Angelic Renewal could be sweet. I think one of the deck's current drawbacks is needing 5 mana to operate, but Renewal would mean it could go on turn 4. I might have to experiment with it. Truth be told, I like the Goons Package so much that I've been messing around with Rakdos, Golgari, and any other color combination I think might work.
