They were the party that worked on saving wildlife, they started the national forestry projects that saved Yosemite, Yellowstone and other critical habitat areas from being logged and mined out of existence.

We're actually not that few relatively, it's just that the media amplifies the divisiveness for clicks and greed. They train their cameras and give the bullhorn to the Marjorie Tailor Greene's of the world, because ... controversy. Our responsibility is to push back on how and where we consume news stories, and what we consider to be "newsworthy". Journalism with integrity is more important than ever and right now the media outlets also need to examine their part in the national conversation. It's not just the "GOP" that needs to do a lot of soul searching.
I think there are more people loyal to US and the constitution than most realize and certainly more than hyped on news.

Much gratitude to all those involved with the production and sharing of this video. I am so grateful to Kimrey, who allowed her story to be told/shown. She demonstrates the thoughtfulness and responsibility (taking action to carefully research her options) that is so important to the citizenry of a democratic republic. In this time when it seems difficult to determine what information is trustworthy, and the echo chambers of social media are so influential, it is gratifying to see people who persist to become informed and then courageously follow their convictions. I learn much from observing such actions, about how humans, and therefore humanity, can evolve at this challenging time.

I have been an active Republican for over 50 years, having run on the Republican ticket for local office twice during this time. Over those 50 years my wife and I have given hundreds of dollars to the NRC. However, I can not consider myself affiliated with a party that defends insurrection, white supremacy, and neonazisim. As a Texas resident, I am deeply disturbed by our senators (Cornyn and Cruz) actively working against impeachment of Trump. I can never vote for either of them again even though I admit to voting for them in the past. The Republican party needs to decide which is more valuable to them; neonazis and white supremacists or ordinary, law abiding citizens. At the rate they are going the Republican party is going to wind up being nothing but Q anon believers, nazis, and white supremacists.

I'm a 24 year old leftist, and I know many of my peers would disagree with me for this, but I'm so proud of her. Many people my age, believe being a republican automatically makes you bad, whether you voted for Trump or not, but I look at this woman and i just see another american. People like to talk about doing the right thing no matter what, but rarely do they actually go through with it. But this woman? This woman did her homework and did what she thought was best, and I commend her for it.

I am a veteran of 29 years of service in the US Air Force. I have made the same remark that on 6 Jan 2021, I had the same feelings that I felt on 11 Sep 2001, only this time it was more insulting, frightening and saddening because it was our own people doing the damage. It makes me wonder why I wasted my life fighting for America when Americans don't want it. So many of them don't want it, and they continue to spew the lies and conspiracy theories that lead to the violence in the first place. Why did I do what I did for them? They don't deserve it.

I watch CNN as much as you do. There's been over 60+ court cases many of which were trump approved judges. Not one brought any evidence of fraud. trump said there was fraud in 2016 when he won. Said millions of illegal immigrants voted for Hillary. He set up a task force to find these millions of illegal votes. After 4 years nothing but hot air came from that task force. How many times does a billionaire need to cry wolf for you to see he's a bullshiter. Mad respect for this video. I’ve never been political. I vote for the person as an individual and I vote for laws on their merits. Not based on who a party says I should or shouldn’t vote for.
She has been in politics her whole life and didn’t see Trump and his disgusting platform until 1/6? So many people saw it from day one. The GOP saw it since day one. They went blind while the rest of us looked on in horror.

When Newt Gingrich came into the scene and the party tolerated his brash style of politics, it made a bad impression on me and thought wow, this party is terrible. I had hoped that they will not give the time of day but instead made him an important figure thinking he can mobilize more voters with his angry style politics. Fast forward three decades later, this kind of low quality politicians have been fully embraced by the party. Now the Republican party is dead from a self inflicted wound.
That's when I went independent was Newt Gingrich I saw crazy.
Trump spews hate, anger, dictatorship, name calling, bullying and revenge on amy one that speaks against him. And he is called Presidential? Not my thinking. And they call Jan 6th a normal tour of the government? I went on tours there for years and NEVER saw this type of conduct. How can anyone in their right mind say it was a normal tour? They need to be removed from any office believing or speaking that because they are mentally ill!

You're doing the right thing by educating yourself before voting and by listening to your conscience. As a Canadian citizen, USA is our closest ally but the past 4 years it feels like your country had moved to a different planet. I actually felt bad for real people trying to make it. When you have a "trial" you normally don't have the verdict until after all the facts have been presented and deliberation, in this case we already know the verdict. So we're teaching the next generation to have no ethics, no responsibility for your actions (for the privileged). Is this the American Dream?
