It describes it's self as a light skirmish game which I think blends the line between Miniature War Games and TTRPG.

I played the playtest rules and they were great. Pre-ordered the book as soon as it was available and I've been kitbashing more horrors and warbands in between. Really hoping to get a full blown campaign going.
Amazing! Hoping to do the same, got a game coming up Thursday - can definitely see this hitting the table often!
Thanks for your video ..
I'm always careful with lables such as "the best, the worst": I know, enthusiasm fuels those lables, but still ... :)
The Doomed does some things right: Removing an alienating ruler and using just 1 stat for a mini makes it a beginner friendly ruleset. Or at least it tries to. As it does something else, which is completely NOT beginner friendly:
It overwhelms you with "kitbashing" - a crafting skill beginners do not want to cope with.
Also, the combination of mission vs villain giving you oh so many variations. No it does not, as many of the missions are very similar by nature.
The Doomed thus is targeted at the experienced players - and for those the rules may appear as too simple.
I'm somewhat torn.
I've got the rules here, I've read them .. but playing? Nah, it just does not klick for me ...
A lot of valid points - it definitely caters to more experience players and could put off others with the hobby side.
I think a lot of it comes down to it almost feeling like a mix of an RPG as well, and some flavour / story added by the players.
Dont you have to roll for each movement after the first?
You are right, I knew I’d forget something - will make sure I remember that for first Battle Report!
Feels like frostgrave very lite . My critique is you need more terrain as it felt like an open arena. Not loving the movement and I think you took 1 more action than allowed on turn 1? You ran than climbed then shot 2x?
So its usable in a modern horror scenario? I have some cool X files figures id love to use in a solo campaign.
Absolutely - that sounds amazing! Who made the miniatures? Might need some myself
@@WoodyREC Black site studios in the US. expensive postage to the UK but I couldnt find a Mulder and Scully in 28mm anywhere esle
Looks great! Can this support more than 2 people?
We did try with four of us, and you can tell it’s designed for two. You might have to house rule the objectives etc to make it work/last longer.
Regardless, it’s a ton of fun and laughs at four player.
Thanks. Is 2-players a maximum or can you add players to the table?
It definitely feels tailored to two players I think, but we’re going to try a four player match this Thursday so I will report back / have a video following!
How'd it go?@@WoodyREC
We tested four player, so everyone had their own force and it was fun / chaotic but it went very quickly and probably needs a few rules modifying to make it work.
Saying that there was plenty of action, and it was fun, just the scenario didn’t last long!
Thanks for the feedback !
It is so far for me.
I don't understand what the point of the sanaryrio
This was an attacker vs. defender where the defender had to protect a destroyable objective. His objectives were tokens that were a little difficult to see in the middle of the ruins.
@@ericwitmer Ahhhhh ok
That wasn't made clear
Worst rolling ever
