My friend, words can not describe what I feel for this wonderful documentary. You have cored to the pit of this amazing sport which we get to experience and share with others. It was my honor to be able to share a part of this experience with you, Cynthia and the other students. Congratulations on achieving this monumental victory in cinematography which while taking up an incredible amount of your time has become an overnight staple in the the paramotoring community. People will always remember the boy who flew to McDonald’s.... and now they will remember Cynthia’s first flight!

I first watched this video last night. It invokes such emotion I was not even able to put it into words in the form of a comment. I watched it again this morning and had the same feelings. I wish I could have been a part of it but after watching the video it feels like I was. This is absolutely without a doubt the very best paramotor video I have seen. Quite often when people talk about what got them into the sport they mention some videos they have seen on RUclips. I see this as being the top of that list.

Excellent cinematography. My congratulations to all, and especially Cynthia! I took that journey in 2017 and at 56 years old, I can still have those failed launches now and then. You only get a couple tries and then you are drained of all energy. You need to recognize your limitations and stop, rest and try another day.

I have flown PPG for 14 years now and this video gave me goose bumps, it was that good! Every time I see new pilots taking flight for the first time it brings me right back to my very first lift off and the flood of emotions everyone feels when their feet first leave the ground. This is a top notch video for anyone interested in getting into the sport. If you aren't inspired to try PPG after watching this you never will be. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Excellent video. The world for most people is 2-dimensional. Gravity puts us on the ground, and there we stay... unless we learn to fly. We flirt with the z-axis when we ski or rock climb. But, to hang in the sky under fabric!?! There's no other feeling like it. Every little gust is transmitted down the lines to your fingertips, and the breeze becomes a play-mate.
I've been flying PPG for 2 years now. 300+ flights and counting. It absolutely changed my life.

I'm a very low hrs paramotor pilot. The reason I'm so low on hrs is family/work commitments and weather in the UK. When I feel like I should give up this sport and invest the cash elsewhere I will either watch my vids or vids/docs of other peoples first flights. These remind me of how it felt leaving the ground for the first time on a paramotor, and makes me remember that its not necessarily how often you fly but how it makes you feel flying these craft.
Anyway, the reason I'm posting this comment is to let you know I have watched training/first flight vids many times and I often get a lump in my throat watching the brand new pilots land and the elation on their faces after they've just realised their dream. This one brought tears to my eyes! 😊
If your watching paramotor content wondering if you should try it you really should. When people say its a life changing experience their not lying. Apart from seeing your child born there is nothing that makes you feel more alive than your first flight on these craft..and it just gets better every time as your confidence grows.😊😊

@@GregAnthonyHarris I do. I've been paragliding for several years and recently started paramotoring. I'm very impressed by anyone who starts paramotoring without first learning free-flight. Doing a perfect forward launch is hard enough without having to also carry and control a motor.

I got my Paramotor license last weekend. In Germany you ve to get a Paragliding license first (55 Flight) with theoretically and practical test. After that you go back to another flightschool for a week and took flights and test on the PPG.
After that you got your Sport Pilots License.
It took me over a Year and about 3k€ for everything (license only) and it is the best Investment of my 22 Year old life :)

I thought this was a cinematic and accurate view of the Aviator PPG training program including the emotional dynamic that can help or hinder our progressive learning. Great instruction is extremely helpful especially when those instructors are intuitive and supportive enough to help us through any anxiety bumps we may have along the way. I know I had at least two mental slow days myself during training and the patience of my instructors went a long way to making the next day turn around for the better. The only thing that surprised me was that you knew you were supposed to fly the day before. It's better when you think you won't be flying before your flying day as you get a good nite's sleep thinking that tomorrow will be boring. ;) Congrats to you and your fellow pilots on realizing your super-power!
I cannot understand how not everyone where you live has a paramotor. I mean, here in europe you would need to pay like thousands for a license and then you would only be allowed to start an land from an official airfield, where you have to pay fees and register your flight etc. Even then you are not allowed to fly where ever and how high you want.
Beeing able to spontaneos just drive to your local park and take off for a flight to wherever you want must be the true meaning of american freedom. My mother says to me: freedom is our greatest good. Now we feel how it hurts to be unfree.

It’s amazing! I and my two daughters are PPG beginners and students. I vibrate a lot with them. The older one is already flying with me and the little one is still experiencing how to keep the wing stable and I’m certain she will be flying soon with us, flying in family, leaving this blessed ground to the beautiful and peaceful sky.

i looked with pleasure ! a wonderful video-i plunged into my memories of the first take-off.
I watched it with subtitles, but I completely got into it ! I'm from Russia, I took off for the first time a year ago. i studied as a self-taught student and was helped by a friend who had already flown. To date, I have flown more than 70 flight hours. I flew on five wings and continue to fly with pleasure !

Uh, wow, Greg. First, go Cynthia! Second, if, Greg, you aren't a filmmaker you have missed you calling. This was an amazing video/documentary. It evoked so much emotion! I remember the feeling of the first tow when you are actually flying.... Then the first flight was so much sensory overload that only certain points were remembered... Then subsequent flights when the actual JOY of flight was felt... Such an amazing sport...

That is a wonderful Video :) I`m from Germany, and i`m very close to my first Flight without Motor! If everything works, i am able to fly on my own in 3-4 Month! That Moment when u all left the Ground just left "happy" tears in my Eyes :) So much good feelings, only by watching this! Great Job :)
