Triffic..... all about freight & the sound of an HST at the beginning!
This aside, having started on the system in 1975, and been through all the changes, this is brilliant. Just shows how rail is better than road, and in future this will tip over to rail more and more. The best thing about TLF was ,it worked & it worked well. Of course, all good things get ruined, and thanks to privatisation that's exactly what happened. Great video.

That brought back memories, shunting the cripples out of those MGR trains and making up the sets.

I like the way that he makes out sectorisation was to make it easier to move things when infact it was really a pre privatization plan.As for new sign posts and liveries he's right about that as Trainload, Regional Railways and Railfreight kept the BR symbol on their trains but NSE and Inter City soon replaced by BR double arrows with the Swallow and NSE coloured box.I think that Maggie's plan was to privatize BR as it's sectors but along came Sir John Major and it got even more complicated but the Queen still made him a Sir when a jail term would have been more appropriate!

The intro music sounds like it came form a late 1970's BBC TV series like Dick Tracey or Bergerac....Enjoyed the video though

Corporate tosh - all good for the management but make the workers falsely believe they are the key.
