Well, the showrunners made their choice and soon they'll be losing their jobs in a matter of years once the show concludes.
Henry was like having a coke or beer with pizza, it works so well that when you serve Great Value Diet coke or Bud light...well yea NO ONE WANTS THAT! Love your channel keep up the awesome videos.
That is a perfect analogy! Beer and pizza , I love that!🤣 thanks so much for commenting.
Liam Hemsworth doesn't look bad at all, BUT he will never live up to Henry Cavill
Very true
They are trying their hardest to make Liam Hemsworth to look like Henry Cavill’s “The Witcher”. That was the whole point for the short little reveal trailer. This is nothing against Liam Hemsworth. He is a fine actor. The powers that be thought “We don’t need Henry Cavill. Find another actor and we’ll throw some makeup and wardrobe on him and make him look just like Cavill. Brilliant!!!!” As we all know, there’s more to acting than makeup and wardrobe. Two great actors can approach a role two different ways, hence giving that show two different outcomes. Robert De Niro is a great actor but if you put him in Scarface instead of Al Pacino, Scarface would be a totally different movie and not for the better in my humble opinion. Henry Cavill is loved by everyone as The Witcher and I just think they are trying to put lip stick on a pig of a situation that they created.
Exactly. But it has much more to do with the actual.story rather than even how he looks. Liam doesn't look bad and definitely pulls off the look BUT the story is still not going to be the Witcher
They both too beautiful for Geralt honestly.
That is actually very true haha
Does not matter how well Hemsworth does (and he could be very good at the role), the show runners and writers have already screwed the show up...
Its unfortunate that season 4 will be DOA. I honestly feel bad for Liam Hemsworth, because no matter how well he does, the show will always carry the damage from the showrunners.
Everything you said. This is a massive circle jerk. Writers adapt a beloved franchise, but as you said, have no respect for the source material. Actors, who also have no respect, are hired to enable the writers in their quest to 'fix' the material. And then, of course, production companies and the MSM enables them all. Poor Liam, but maybe not.
Yea spot on and these writers will surely fail upward and view that as confirmation to push through and continue "fixing" ips. You are exactly right about the enabling. No failure is ever a result of the creators and now there is a push not to critique at all.
I don't think he should play Geralt of rivia . Maybe a an earlier witcher .
I wouldn't mind if Liam Hemsworth was playing an earlier Witcher. It would be cool to see more of the witchers before Geralt's time, like how Netflix did the show about a young Vesemir. But as a replacement for Geralt its going to end poorly.
Tbf Henry Cavil is a dull but passable actor who looks good as are the Hemsworth brothers. More looks than charisma…. So what’s the problem
The problem is the storytelling. Liam looks great. It's not about the aesthetic it's about the execution of the lore and the bastardization of the books and games
It doesn't matter who plays the Witcher if the Character Geralt is not the main character. The look of Geralt ADDS and is PART OF to the Character but doesn't define him.
This is entirely down to the showrunners, writers, producers and directors. I actual feel bad for Liam Hemsworth.
I think Liam looks really good. Nothing to destroy. That's just sad fanboyism. Question is more, can he bring Geralt to life. Henry did it (beyond my expectations) and I thought he looked awful for the role at first.
I think Liam is a really good actor, have you seen him in Arkansas? But its asking a lot for him to bring Geralt to life when the showrunners have done everything they can to kill off Geralts character/ importance.
@@holdmydualshock Yea there's that. Well no actor can fix a bad script. If the showrunners have ruined the story and the character then Liam is just stepping into a hot mess.
He looks fine. But Cavill embodied the role. This has virtually no chance of success. I'm honestly surprised they proceeded with it. I assume they don't realize what kind of hole they're in.
Yea for me it is less about how he looks in the role and more about the storytelling position netflix has put themselves. I have a feeling very few people are going to tune into season 4.
@@holdmydualshock Yep. By Netflix's numbers, season 2 retained around 80% of the audience from season 1, even though S2 had some controversy. But only 50% for S3. I have to imagine many of those were there for Cavill's last hurrah as Geralt, so I expect it to crater even further.
Exactly! The drop off between s2 to s3 was huge. And I agree, the only reason that it had 50% for s3 was because people wanted to see Henry Cavills last season as Geralt.
I imagine now that they have removed the only reason people stayed around for s3, the show will just fade into obscurity.
